No business I have encountered -storefront or online,but especially online, can even come close to Fat Brain Toys. (The storefronts are way behind). I have written an entire separate email, ~ 2 years or so back, regarding their unparalleled customer service. There simply is NO OTHER business that even comes close. Once you discover Fat Brain, you're spoiled. AND they sell products that you WANT your children to play with. The website is fantastic and I use all of the tools it provides. People panic around the holidays- not me, my store is waiting and ships my order faster than any other store can "process" it.

The majority of toys this year were from Fat Brain Toys, mostly the ones for my 5 and 7 year old. My first time doing business with Fat Brain Toys. I just found them online shortly before Christmas. It's a really fun website with many products that I have not seen elsewhere. It was easy to order from them and they communicate well during the whole shipping process. The items I ordered were packed with care. When ordering other games after being so pleased with the first Argh! game, I happened to order two that were in stock and one that was going to be slightly delayed. It turned out all would be shipped at the same time, a bit delayed. I called customer service and a wonderful lady answered on the first ring. I asked if the in-stock items could please be shipped now as they were for birthdays (while the third item was for Christmas and could wait). Fat Brain Toys has become my go-to place for quality educational toys. I have done quite a bit of on-line shopping and can truthfully say that this site is more than merely "user friendly". If FBT were a human, I could call it considerate. One of the items I wanted to purchase was out of stock. Normally that would be the end of that idea. But FBT lets you know if or when they will have a re-supply and how many units they have ordered! There is a complete receipt at the end of they transaction and a second one emailed to you for your records. Fat Brain Toys tells you when the item will be shipped and WHEN THEY EXPECT IT TO BE DELIVERED! Guess, what? The See & Spell arrived on the specified day! Efficient, friendly, intelligently designed. I have absolutely loved Fat Brain Toys! I buy classroom supplies for my special needs classroom and toys for family and friends. There are so many creative toys that allow children to use their imaginations and to create! This Christmas all of my 6 grandkids' toys came from Fat Brain Toys. I passed the website onto some of my students' parents who are always looking for creative alternatives to many of the toys found in a typical department store. I've purchased age appropriate looking toys that have similar developmental levels as younger children's toys. For instance, I needed blocks for building and was able to purchase Reptangles that were both age appropriate looking toys and developmentally appropriate since they can be used in many ways. This is one of the areas in the market place that has not been previously addressed in special education catalogs.

What can I say? I am addicted to Fat Brain Toys! I just discovered them this past summer and I've already done three purchases, not items but purchases of a minimum of four items each. They have great things for the inquisitive as well as for those that just need stimulation.
I've purchase things for adults, as well as kids and for me, which kind of fits in the kids department. And of all the gifts I've purchased for others I've always have gotten rave reviews.
My only word of caution is to pace yourself so you don't get carried away with the great stuff.

We love Fat Brain! It is unlike any toy store in our area. The last time I went to a big box store to buy toys, I was shocked at the poor quality of the toys and how many were tied to movies and TV programming. Shopping at Fat Brain is a totally different experience! An added plus is the great sales help and free gift wrapping.

I purchased a gift (hair chalk) through Fat Brain from a trusted manufacturer that proved to be a bust. Fat Brain made it right, right away. Their communication is excellent; they sent an email asking what I thought of the hair chalk while I was getting ready to contact customer service to send it back. Within a week, I had a different birthday gift to replace the defective one. I love the free shipping on large orders; mine are for birthdays and Christmas for three children, and thus always large. The speedy shipping is amazing. Unlike some companies, I'm not given a timeline of two weeks for when to expect my purchase.

I have never been to Fat Brain Toys before. I waited until the last minute before Christmas and they still had so much to choose from. I compared their prices of the products I purchased and I got many good deals. It was stress free as it was a one stop shop for all of the children on my list as they have it covered. I could not rave about Fat Brain Toys enough...I just don't have enough minutes in a day!! We found FBT before Christmas while searching for fun, durable and educational toys for our 1 year old daughter. She has never really loved playing with toys, but that all changed when "Santa" came with a load of Fat Brain Toys! It's so interesting that she FAVORS the toys from this company--it's like they hold some sort of unspoken magic for children. None of the toys do anything outrageously entertaining but I think that's the point--it's the child that brings their toys to life with imagination. She cuddles and talks to her Snuggle Pod and cannot go to sleep without it! She pushes her Bilibo around like it's a vehicle. She loves to watch the Tobbles weeble and wobble. I just cannot put into words the love affair we will always have with Fat Brain Toys. Never again will we shop at the large retail toy stores. Besides their selection of amazing toys, the customer service is beyond compare. One of our Tobbles malfunctioned and within an hour of emailing FBT, I had a response saying a replacement was already in the mail. You just can't find that kind of service any more!!!

I love the array of unique and classic toys that appear in the catalog. You have a bit of something for kids of all sorts...crafty, mechanic, scientific, astronomy...the only way one would not be able to find an interesting gift would be that they simply had no interests at all. Excellent selection and remarkable delivery response. I realized one week before Christmas, one of Santa's orders was not filled by another website. I was so impressed with FBT that I have been recommending them. I ordered eight toys and received an email the next morning which stated everything was packed and had shipped--within ten hours of receiving the order. After it was delivered I received another email confirming it was dropped at my kitchen door at 10:35a.m., which it had been. Very impressed with the company. The feature that allowed me to search by age and sex of child, and indoor vs. outdoor toys, was quite helpful.

I found this website when i was online looking at toys r us website and was so frustrated with their very poor toy selection. I finally googled unique toys and fat brain came up so i went to the website and was blown away with the high quality unique toys they had.. I couldn't believe the selection and i easily spent 2 hours looking. i even told my dad about it so he could order the kids toys as well. A great shop that ships to Russia. Very few do it. The toys came carefully packaged and rather quickly. It took only 18 days. The toys are great, some of them are not possible to be purchased in Russia, others are several times cheaper in fatbraintoys than in our country shops. The only problem is that the overseas shipping is rather expensive. In general, I love the shop and will definitely use it again and I will recommend it online and to my friends.

I ran into this site a few weeks ago and I love it. I compaired the prices to other sites like Walmart and Toys R Us, and the prices were cheaper then both of the other sites.
Fat Brain also has alot of different toys to choose from. I have 3 kids and it is hard to get to a store to shop, I really enjoy shopping online.
Also, I found a gift for my 70 year old Father. He is not easy to shop for.

Oustanding customer service! cannot thank Fat Brain enough for their fabulous costumer service. I went there about a month ago and the game was out of stock. It was Friday and I wanted the game for a birthday party that Saturday. The store representative had someone from the warehouse bring the game by the store within hours, and we were able to pick it up at Fat Brain by 6:00 Friday evening, gift wrapped for free! Every time I walk into Fat Brain Toys I leave there being more impressed with their customer service than the last time.

I first happened upon Fat Brain Toys while searching for gifts for my 18 y.o. nephew, who lives with Autism. After perusing the wonderful site, I was able to find wonderful gifts for every child on my list. This was my first experience with Fat Brain Toys and I was very pleased. The staff was extremely helpful. I bought some toys that are to stick to the side of the tub. My concern was that they would not stick to our plastic walled tub. When I inquired about it, they assured me that if they did not stick as stated that I could return them if need be. I am glad to say the toys do stick and I do not need to return them, but was glad to have the option if needed. I will definitely be shopping there again.

I love this store on many levels. I like to buy local, and this is a local company. But more importantly, Fat Brain Toys offers a fabulous selection of mentally and physically healthy toys. I am a fussy shopper, but I found many toys that fit with my values and that my children would love. I had no worries about what my children would be exposed to when I let them browse with me through the store (and play gently with the 'sample' toys that were everywhere!). Any princess-y items were not purely focused on beauty, but also creativity and role-play. I don't recall any gruesome characters that suggested violence. Every toy in the store helped to develop some motor skill or intellectual/creative skill. The board game selection includes a wide variety of activities to pique anyone's interest, like a subtle color matching game and juicy questions/conversation starters. The sports section included games with simple, fresh ideas, like a blow up baseball tee and plastic pipes that make perfectly tuned tones when you whack them on something. The academic games also make it authentically fun to learn to measure, write letters, etc. AND Fat Brain carries edible crickets. The only thing that holds me back at this toy store is my modest budget, but their selection is reasonably priced for a boutique type store, and it's worth every penny.

We LOVE the store! Most toys are at KID level, and some toys are out so that they can "test" them! The most kid friendly store we have ever been to. I love that the toys are not just "JUNK" toys, they have some educational value to them. There is such a variety of toys ranging in ages and stereotypical gender. I love this website. The ratings of favorites by girls/boys across different ages is perfect when trying to buy gifts for friends and also figure out what they will like. This is a really great site! I researched several butterfly gardens, and this site was the most informative with its honest customer reviews which were upfront about the extra shipping fees for the caterpillars and some of the difficulties when ordering the garden as a gift. This site also had the lowest shipping charge for the caterpillars as well as providing 5 caterpillars instead of the 3-5 promised by other sites.
I also received my order in two days! What most impressed me was the follow-up e-mail after placing my order. The e-mail exclaimed, "Your order was shipped 7 hours after ordering". They really seem to pride themselves on quality and customer service, and I will definitely order from them again!

I received an email confirming the tracking number, but when the UPS man came WITHOUT my package, I went into panic mode!

I'm a 63 year old kid. I like what I've seen of Fat Brain Toys because they offer so many of the toys I spent a lot of time with when I was a slightly younger kid. I believe my grandkids will also enjoy them. I tell other parents that it is better to spend little more for an educational toy to develop a child's thinking skills then some electronic expensive toys where all the child needs to do is press a button - a monkey can do that. Fat Brain Toys ROCKS! The woman I talked with at FBT was so incredibly helpful - she (and Fat Brain Toys) SAVED my Christmas. I had originally ordered this toy through another place I found online to find out just 3 days before Christmas that they "no longer had the item in stock." This was after I had repeatedly called and left messages to find out why my "2-day shipment" (which I had paid handsomely for) hadn't arrived on time. Thankfully, I was able to cancel my order with that other vendor and purchase this toy through FBT instead. The item arrived on time for Christmas AND it ended up being much cheaper than purchasing through the other vendor. I will definitely order from FBT again!

Fat Brain toys has a wide variety of toys that encourage imagination and creativity. I was very impressed with the speed of delivery. One of the products I ordered was supposed to be back ordered but happily arrived a few days after ordering.

We bought an R/C car from Fat Brain Toys which did not work well and they took care of it, no hassles, very professional help on the phone. We then bought the Morphibian Rover and Morphibian Explorer from Fat Brain Toys. We have been very happy with them. The salesperson was so helpful in my panic on Dec 21. I had previously ordered through another outlet and was sent an email stating not able to get the product from the supplier. Fat Brain Toys was not only able to confirm to me that the product was available, they assured me that it would arrive Christmas Eve. Fat Brain Toys website is well organized and easy to use. If I want to see what's new, or I don't have a gift idea, I visit their site. The majority of our Christmas gifts for children came from them. They carry items for all ages. My 23 year old medical student had fun with the Inside Out Human Body and everyone loves the Chocolate Fix puzzle. I first found the site while searching for Frigits and discovered the Plasma Car. I am very impressed. The website is very thorough and easy to use. The toy came in on the exact date that I was told it would arrive. I even received an email telling me the moment it had been left at my front door. When I got home, sure enough, there it was. Love it. Stayed away from it at first- b/c I thought it was a typical junky toy store. I discovered that it didn't have the junk of other stores- and has more "old school" toys that don't use batteries. I love that. Also... huge plus, they wrapped my purchase for Christmas. One less for me to do. Plus- the kids knew which wrapping paper came from there, and they were excited to see the treasure inside!

Spot on service... I had been looking high and low for this tool and it was nowhere!!! They had them on other web sites for exuberant prices. Fat Brain was very, very comparable to the store price and the shipping was probably less then the gas I burnt up. I ordered very close to X-Mas and they promised a delivery date of 22DEC and that's when it got here! I even received an e-mail on my Blackberry notifying me that it was on my doorstep. I love the unique variety of toys! We like to challenge our sons, so we love finding such a wide variety of educational and challenging toys all in one place. Our sons also have Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This disease limits their ability to lift heavy items, or to reach to play with large items. Fat Brain Toys has lots of great small toys that work really well for the play range of motion!
