Elkhorn, NE (March 9, 2007) –Fat Brain Toy Co., a specialty manufacturer and distributor of innovative learning toys, has launched the new Learning Calendar, and its Dado Cubes Construction toy for 2007.
The 2007 Learning Calendar includes 365 historical events, featured on the date they actually occurred. It also includes dozens of entertaining activity ideas and questions to make learning fun, while the colorful graphics to bring each event to life. Fat Brain Toy’s Learning Calendar is a great educational tool not only for the classroom or homeschool, but also for the office to keep busy execs and trivia enthusiasts on their toes.
Fat Brain Toy Co.’s incredible history Learning Calendar (www.thelearningcalendar.com) is so chock-full of useful, informative material that is no wonder why it’s a hit with children and adults alike. It makes sense that this exceptional educational product was just selected as a “Teacher’s Choice Awards for the Family” winner and has received rave reviews from educators from across the U.S.
Visitors to the Fat Brain Toy Co. Booth 1763 will also see how the company balances fun with learning by playing with another newly-launched educational toy – Dado Cubes. New to the specialty market, Fat Brain Toy Co.’s Dado Cubes actually develop both sides of the child’s mind. Because of how wonderfully colorful, artistic and fun they are, Dado Cubes develop the right side of the brain (the side that processes creativity, patterns and spatial awareness). At the same time these innovations require agility, developing the left side of the brain (the side that processes analysis and sequencing).
In 2007, the company is adding blue tone Dado Cubes. Dado Cubes combine art and science as kids of all ages explore architectural principles including: proportion, balance, structure and color. A new twist on classic building blocks, Dado Cubes engage the imagination as the slits on each cube are interlocked to create an unlimited number of three-dimensional structures. Constructed horizontally, vertically or nested together, Dado Cubes invite visual spatial development and problem solving through design centered, attention-grabbing fun.
Each set features 10 cubes, scaled from 1 inch to 5 inches, capable of building structures over 32 inches high. They are made of a durable, heavy gauge plastic and were developed, manufactured and assembled in the U.S. Although Dado Cubes are new to market, the product is already receiving top honors, including the Preferred Choice Award in the Builder Construction category by Creative Child Magazine 2006. For ages 3 and up.
Fat Brain Toy Co. will also unveil several other new products that will be available this year. The company continues to use its knowledge about the marketplace as a leading retailer in educational toys to identify needs and opportunities for new products that it creates that will encourage us to increase our brain power in 2007 and beyond.
