Success is Stacking Up for Toy Company's First Product
ELKHORN, NE - September 22, 2006 - Fat Brain Toy Co., a relative newcomer to toy development, has found quick success in it's first wholesale product. Even before its release to the general public, Dado Cubes, an ingenious system of vivid, interlocking, scaled cubes, came out on top in the 2006 Creative Child Magazine Awards being named a Preferred Choice in the Building & Construction category.
"To be a recipient of Creative Child Magazine's 'Preferred Choice Award' and a finalist for the 'Top Toy of the Year' is wonderful. We're absolutely honored!" exclaimed Mark Carson, the inventor of Dado Cubes. So many great toys have been given the 'Preferred Choice Award' in the past - we're pleased to share their company."
Annually, through the efforts of Creative Child Magazine, over 1,000 toys enter the ranks of potential favorite toys -- vying to engage the creative hands and minds of playing children and become the "Top Toy of the Year." Watching children in action, child psychologists and child educators score each toy's play value based upon factors of educational value, creative nurturing, creative play, and overall value with respect to the retail price.
Only one "Toy of the Year Award" is given per category and remaining finalists receive a prestigious "Preferred Choice Award." The "Seal of Excellence" is given to products that are not finalists but do exceed expectations for nurturing creativity and education in children.
What's next for Fat Brain Toys? "We're having a lot of fun playing with new ideas and potential products," responds a grinning Mark Carson.
"Dado is the first of many developmental toys we've conceived that align with the latest educational research. The fact that child psychologists and educators see learning advantages with Dado Cubes, and that kids love them as well...it's rewarding. This business of making a difference in the growth and development of kids is challenging, exciting, and worthwhile."
