My four year old daughter just received this for her birthday. She was eager to play with it and was not disappointed. The figures (fairies, house, garden tools, unicorn, flowers) are colorfully painted and the fairies have moveable legs. She likes designing and redesigning the set-up and creating stories about the figures. But I think she enjoys running her fingers through the sand as much as anything. We plan to buy another for a birthday gift for a 4 year old girl. Hint: put the playmat and sandbox on top of a cookie sheet/tray for better sand containment
