Light weight wood pieces makes it safe and easy to use. Kids can be very creative with the blocks

Citiblocs promote creativity!

This is a great learning toy. I gave it as a birthday gift for my 4-year old twin granddaughters. While I was initially concerned that the size of the blocs would be too small for their development, I was amazed at their ability to use their fine motor skills -- even carefully stacking the blocs on the 1/4 inch edge. One can see their imagination at work as they carefully stack the blocs in creative formations, bringing into existence the mental images from their minds. An unexpected benefit was the way they combine these blocs with other toys -- their Lincoln Logs. It expands their creativity and problem solving skills.

My ten year old son has these and plays with them constantly. He builds structures to use with his Star Wars figures and army men. He builds ramps for his hot wheel cars. There is no end to the imagination that these blocks can inspire. The more blocks the better - I think my son now has 400 and he doesn't get frustrated because he runs out of blocks before he gets his tower to the ceiling! We took the box with us on vacation with our extended family and had 10 kids of different ages plus their parents all building together. Great family fun!
