I didn't buy this product for "play" but to gain some hands on learning of very elementary mechanical engineering principles. The kit is well-engineered and the learning activity lessons are well written and explain basic principles in a clear manner. My only criticism of the kit is that the pictorial instructions can be a bit confusing and the "snap together" construction isn't as solid as one might wish.
