This is a birthday present for a granddaughter in another state, so I won't know if she actually plays with it until she visits here in June. It's so inexpensive that I can't help wondering if a larger and more flexible set of materials might be more popular. Or a set that encouraged users to think beyond the specifically girly interior design features. Say, a set that encouraged kids to experiment with different floor plans. Or something that let them plan an entire house. Or a garden. My granddaughter is now saying she wants to be an engineer, and I'm finding it impossible to find toys that might engage her imagination in that area, as opposed to toys specifically for boys.
