The puzzle was purchased for a school project for my 3rd grader. We absolutely loved it. A friend suggested that each piece be taken out 1 at a time and start putting it together. As she was doing that she was crossing out each piece on the instructions. The pieces are not labeled so if you put it in the wrong spot, it will fit but not properly. My daughter loved putting it together. I had a bit of a challenge and realized that there is no reason to cut anything (which I did) and felt terrible. Luckily it was inside so you can't see it. My suggestion would be to label the inside of the pieces in case there is no adult supervision. What can I say!!! It is a great product that my daughter loved and was able to assemble. She needed adult supervision at times but she put the puzzle together and it's fantastic! I'm definitely keeping your information for the next project. In all the years that I have been helping my daughters with school projects this one has been my favorite.

This is a great representation of the capital building. The pieces are smaller than I thought and do need more than two hands to put together some of the pieces. It is awesome for my son to bring to school for his presentation.

This is my second capitol model. The first one made it through 4 years and over 450 Jr. High students. I use this model in my 7th grade history class and student's no. 1 question is "Where can I get one?" followed by "How did you put this together?" It has been a great visual for teaching the 3 branches and explaining the difference between the Senate and the House of Representatives. This fall we will be adding the White House model and then I sure wish there was a puzzle for the Supreme Court....One suggestion to extend the life of the puzzle, try mounting it to a foam core base for support.
