Great gift idea!

We bought this item as a birthday gift for a 6-year-old boy. The store clerk told us it was a popular item for boys and the birthday boy was thrilled with it. Perfect for summer; I was happy to see that it came with water balloons and is large enough to pump up a whole pile of balloons. I haven't seen it in action, but it is an ingenious idea - my kids are always wanting to play with water balloons or pump them up themselves and there never seems to be a convenient way. This way they can do it themselves and it is part of the fun!

I bought 3 of the water balloon pumps, for three sets of grandchildren. So far they have been very enthusiastic about them.

Best way to do water balloons!

Kids love water balloons, but I am usually pretty reserved in my adoration of them. Most of the time, I fill up five or ten at the water spigot in the yard for my kids (using one of those attachments they often sell with the balloons these days) -- and they are gone in 30 seconds. We want more! they cry. Meanwhile, my fingers are getting red and raw from tying them off, and my back is starting to hurt like I'm 30 years older from bending over the darn spigot. Last year, I picked up one of these Kaos wonders, and we thoroughly wore it out, so I am back for another one. It takes a couple of tries (at least it did for me) to figure out how the tie-thing works, but then -- ta da! Miracles! Water goes in the jug, a balloon goes over the spigot, push down on the pump to fill the balloon, swing the balloon neck (from underneath) over the top of the tie-thingy, and pull the balloon off. Perfect -- nearly every time. :) Older kids (like my 9 year old) can easily do the process themselves, even -- hurray! Even if you can't get the tie tool to work, the balloons that are included are so much easier to tie by hand than others out there on the market. Fat Brain, bring back the balloon refill set!
