Toy Safety Statement from TEDCO
It is understandable with the current status of multiple recalls of imported toys that there is heightened concern about the safety of toys purchased for your children and the children of your customers. We would like to address any concerns you have with the TEDCO product we manufacture in Indiana as well as the product we import from China.
TEDCO manufactures a number of toys here in Indiana and our U.S. suppliers provide us with Material Safety Data Sheets on the components and finishes we use. Our production people are trained in total quality control processes and standards are maintained at each stage of manufacturing.
TEDCO also imports primarily from one company for our Ein-O Science Kits and the Dino Horizon line. Just like TEDCO, this company is a family owned and operated business that tightly controls all their manufacturing. They provide us with test results to ensure their product is safe. Specifically, we have Material Safety Data Sheets from their paint and finisher supplier that confirm they are in compliance to US standards.
TEDCO has also begun swab tests that quickly reveal by visual discoloration any noncompliance. We are happy to report no signs of any lead in our paints/finishes for both our US made as well as our imported product.
TEDCO is also inspected annually by insurance carriers for verification of OSHA standards and confirmation of labor and industry certifications.
The managers and employees of TEDCO are proud to be one of the few toy companies that actually manufacture in the United States and we take great pleasure in supplying our customers the highest quality product.
