In a nationwide toy test, two Fat Brain Toy Co. toys - Tobbles Neo and Squigz, found warm reception and consistently held the attention of preschoolers. In thirty-eight Goddard Preschools throughout the US, children ranging in age from six weeks to six years old tested out this year's top toys in The Goddard School's sixth annual Preschooler-Approved Toy Test.
Research-based criteria determined which toys were sent into testing, according to the school system. Among other qualities, toys chosen as finalists retail for $40 or less, hold kids' interest, meet safety standards, and encourage children to work together and to be creative.
The kids played. Teachers observed. Interestingly, nine of the ten toys preschoolers found most engaging were non-licensed specialty toys – with no connection to popular TV shows or movies for that age group.
Squigz and Tobbles Neo created by Fat Brain Toy Co. fall in line with the school system's play-focused philosophy and "F.L.E.X." approach, which stands for Fun Learning Experience. The compete list of winners can be found on the Goddard Schools Toy Test Page Here!
