Review of Jr. Astronaut Helmet
Posted 10/4/2011 by Jennifer

Rating:

We bought this as an accessory to an astronaut Halloween costume. (My son, age 7, was disappointed that the costume I'd bought elsewhere just came with a NASA baseball cap, petitioned hard for this helmet and won.) The helmet was more than I wanted to spend, but after looking at many alternatives concluded that it was the best value. It fits comfortably -would probably fit any kid, and is thoughtfully designed. For instance, there's a button that releases the shaded visor that covers the helmet opening. Instead of being labeled "visor release," or having no button at all and just having to lift the visor manually, the button reads "Power visor." Funny. And push-button recordings can be activated inside the helmet so you hear the countdown. Like catnip to a kid. I'm glad we got it.
