Finger Crayons for 11 month old
Posted 8/22/2009 by Stacy Basham Wagner

Rating:

I bought these crayons as a trial to see if my 11 month old son would enjoy coloring (with supervision to make sure he did not each the crayons). Evidently, he is too young, as he showed no interest in doing anything except eating the crayons following a demonstration by Mama of how to color. So, I will try again later. I like the size and shape of the crayons for little hands, but they may not be so sturdy. One broke when I used it without excess pressure. I suspect they will not hold up that well when my son uses them in the future.

I bought these for my daughter, Serena. She is fifteen years old and has Cerebral Palsy. She is unable to manipulate a standard pencil or pen but I was curious to see what she could do with these.I mentioned this product to her Physical Therapist, as well as your "toys for Special Needs".She was interested so we ordered a set for her, too.My daughter, Serena , is in a "regular" high school on the High Honor Roll. She has a one-on-one aide who does all her writing. I can only imagine what she will do once she masters writing. She is very determined and her progress is very exciting ! Thank you for offering fun and useful things for children with Special Needs.
Sincerely, Carole Prieto

Easy for a first time artist to use. No need to instruct a little one.

I bought these as a Christmas gift so my grandson hasn't even seen them yet. I'm sure he'll love them.

My daughter just recently turned two and loves to "draw" and color. These finger crayons are perfect for her, they fit wonderfully and she enjoys counting them. Also they have been helpful with learning colors. We took them on our plane ride and it kept her occupied the entire time! (3+ hours)

I was disappointed to discover the product was made in China. In general, I am concerned about safety with products from that country. The packaging had no storage option for the crayons so I will have to purchase something to keep themn while not in use. That being said, the crayons draw beautifully on white paper and my grandson finds them easy to hold. This is exactly what I expected.

Nice and indistructable (the last set of normal crayons quickly got broken, and broken and broken again). Bright colors are good for her learning her letters. I don't know that she's used them yet to draw much, but right now she's just loving putting them in and out of her crayon box (over and over again), announcing their colors, and counting them. (She's 21 mos.) So again I hark back to their hardiness, which is GREAT.

The crayons are great! I got them for my young nephew. Although he doesn't use the crayons to color pretty pictures (he's too young!), he is beginning to develop his fine motor skills. These crayons fit comfortably over his little fingers and he is able to keep a firm grasp while making his scribble masterpieces!

I ordered this for a young child, age 2. She does not press hard enough to make the crayons effective. The color does not appear as readily as you'd expect. Crayola's Twistable crayons work better for her. The older (3 - 6) grandchildren hopefully will enjoy the fun of sticking these on their fingers, drawing rainbows, etc. They've not had a chance to use them as yet.

I ordered these crayons for my 12 year old grandson. He has Cerebral Palsy and has limited use of his hands. They are perfect for him. They fit just right on his finger and he's able to move his hand around and color. He's so proud of himself. I bought another set for his classroom at school anf the teacher says they're perfect for these kids needs.
