I bought 3 of this; one for my son, 2 for other friends' boys' birthday gift.
They all like it! The only thing is ours has a little problem with the on/off button, it doesn't work very well, have to press it quite hard to get it work. Other than that, it is a great toy.

Good idea for an older child

Seems like a good idea but unless your child has the patience to make the bubbles, it may not be for you. My son is at the age (2) where he is more interested in how things work than what it makes, so the bubbles are fun, but the fan inside is more fun!

We love the fact that the little guy appreciates the fan! Given time, he'll likely become interested in the bubbles too, (or become an engineer or mechanic!) Can not help put a smile on your face. And the giggles from 18 month old grandson were worth every penny. My grandson (4yrs.) wanted to go out and play "giant bubbles". He could operate the on /off switch by himself but of course could not refill the reservoir. Will be a great warm weather outdoor activity...for all ages really. I wanted to watch the bubbles float away but the boys enjoyed popping them.
