Very fun game for everyone. My 4 1/2 year old beats me most of the time. The wood construction is nice too.

Review of Gobblet Junior

Rating:

High quality not only in the pieces themselves, but in the box that it came in. So far, my grandkids are having too much fun gobbling each other to really play tic-tac-toe in any meaningful way, but it holds promise. I am now more interested in getting the "adult" version for the rest of us, something that will take longer than 2 minutes to play.

Information about Gobblet Junior

this is my son's favorite game. he is so good at it (he's 4 1/2) that he genuinely beats all of his relatives, at least, sometimes. i actually just purchased this for a birthday present because it is so good. it is really an even more strategic version of tic tac toe with a memory game element. as a mom who gets asked to play all kinds of games by my kids, this is one that i actually look forward to being asked to play. and then i usually just end of laughing and asking for a rematch after he wins the first round. we are actually graduating to the regular version of gobblet which ups the challenge and is meant for older children. not sure that he will be ready for it. but perhaps my husband and i will keep it warm for him until he grows into it. that is how fun the game is.

Family Fun!

This is a great family fun game. My 4 and 5 year old love it. They like to gobble each others players more than winning the game.

My 6 year old sone enjoys playing this game. A more interesting version of tic tac dough. The rules took us a few minutes to grasp but after that even the adults had fun playing.

This game was purchased for my son's 5th birthday. The whole family has had a great time playing the game. The rules are easy to understand & the game goes pretty quickly, so you can play several rounds in a relatively short time. I am really glad we purchased this product. This has quickly become a family favorite!

Great twist on the traditional Tic Tac Toe. A good way to get kids thinking 3-dimensionally.

This is a very clever and imaginative game. We played with our 5 year old grandson who has now progressed to the higher game. I ordered this game for my other grandson and had to return it because he already had it. He too really enjoys Gobblet.

Our 5 and 8 year old girls love this game and we enjoy playing it with them. Sometimes we win and sometimes they win! That's the appeal of this game. It is well-constructed and comes in a nice package. The rules are very easy to master, but the strategy keeps it interesting. I would highly recommend this game as one that adults and teenagers can enjoy with younger children.

Classic Game with a Twist
Posted 2/28/2007 by Jay Wingold

Rating:

A wonderful, well-constructed game that takes the concept of Tic Tac Toe to a three dimensional level. The game is very simple, but will have the family entertained for hours. This is a big hit in our household.

This is a great game! It's basically a funny Tic Tac Toe. The colored pegs can gobble one another and it encourages strategy and memory skills. My son has beat me! He is 6 and my 4/12 year daughter loves it too!

Too Easy for 6 Year Old
Posted 12/27/2006

Rating:

I purchased this game for my child because she is always wanting to play Tic-Tac-Toe. I thought that this game would take longer to play, but I was wrong. Although the concept is good, it is easy to get three pieces in a row in a matter of minutes. We found that we didn't even get a chance to use the pieces to cover others because it is easy to line up 3. Although she likes it, I would recommend getting the older version of Gobblet for children over the age of 5. With that version, you need to line up 4 pieces in a row which seems like it might be a little harder.

An absolutely terrific game. Engages a five year old and an adult with equal interest and enthusiasm. A great game of strategy that is very fast moving and becomes addictive. I've purchased 2 so far, and will buy the version for older kids (and adults) next. In fact the adults are asking for it. Buy it...it's great.

I bought this for my grandson for his 5th birthday. He loves it. It is also something that is enjoyable to play even for adults. It is definitely a winner.

We were introduced to this game at a friend's home. We immediately knew it would be a great game for all ages to play. It might frustrate competitive players when they are gobbled, but what a great learning opportunity for them. We bought 3 to give for Christmas presents.

Gobblet Jr Makes Strategic Thinkers
Posted 10/12/2006 by Elizabeth Goellner

Rating:

Our kids love playing Gobblet Jr. Our 5 year old daughter took to this game instantly. We've enjoyed watching her strategic thinking skills improve every time we play. Our 2 year old also enjoys playing, although he mostly likes gobbling up pieces. We liked this game so much that we bought 2 more Gobblet Jr games to give to other Kindergarteners in my daughter's class. We are also going to give Gobblet to the older cousins for Christmas.
