There were several "sets" being offered and I chose the one with the fewest pieces, just to see what they were all about. My daughter is a little young to be fascinated by magnetism (she is a year and a half) but she does make a little 'turtle tower' with it, its another safe, durable magnetic toy for the dishwasher/fridge, etch-a-sketch (or whatever they call them these days) and is brightly colored. At least one piece has taken a dive onto tile which seems to break EVERYTHING (don't know if it is the subfloor or what under this killer tile) and has survived, so I'm pretty confident in them. I would say great value for the money, but I'd also be cautious about buying a much larger set for a child this age... she plays with them every day for 2-3 mins but doesn't ask for it by name.
