Product is noisy, needs batteries, batteries are "C" cells, not common size.

Novelty to Watch, Not Good to Keep Proper Time

The Time Machine is a delightful novelty, a conversation piece, one that people will gather around to watch "the one O’clock dump" where all 3 ramps empty their ball bearings. I owned a similar "clock" many years ago, and prefer the older design, which had the rotating arm constantly in motion, performing as a second hand, rather than the current design with the seconds on a more difficult to see display. My problem is that, as a time keeping device it fails miserably. Power is from an AC/DC 6V adapter, so weak batteries are not to blame. It’s nice to watch, but not a good time keeper. That older one from years ago kept perfect time. So much for "new and improved."
