The page magnifier was purchased for my elderly father so he would be able to read a larger portion of the newspaper or magazines at one time. I was disappointed with its clarity. It was clear in the middle, but you lose that clarity as you proceed out to the edges.

Page Magnifier

The product was purchased for my elderly mother who has a hard time reading small print. While the page magnifier is exactly as described, when it is resting directly on the page it is useless. [The page magnifier must be held slightly above the page for clear viewing.]

I thoughy this page viewer would be good for my father who has vision problems that aren't totally corrected by reading glasses. The magnifying viewer with the LED light worked better for him. I am donating the page viewer to my local public library reference desk who lends it out for use in the library. To those who think they just lay it on a newspaper for magnification, it is important to know you must bring it back from what you are viewing at an angle. The packaging does not explain how to use it.

The product will be a gift for my 86 year old mother who suffers from macrodegeneration. I tested the Page Magnifier before wrapping it. I found the 'magnifier' adequate, but the fact that it must be held at a 4 inch height will have some challenges for my mother just due to holding it for a length of time required to read a page.

I purchased this for my Mother, whose vision is quite limited. She thoroughly enjoys it. Using the magnifier makes reading both books and magazines much easier for her, and is less stressful on her eyes. It is light in weight and therefore easy to use for lengthy periods of time.
