I was excited to pass along something I enjoyed from childhood to my nieces. I made a plate when I was in the Brownies and still enjoy seeing the plate I made so many years ago. I am hoping they will have the same experience.

Cute product, great quality

My 7 year old daughter drew several different pictures since the set comes with about five pages of practice sheets. We selected two to send and get made into plates. They turned out so well and they are really nice quality plates. We kept a set and she gave another set to family at the holidays. They're a special keepsake of her artistic talents and interests at that point in her life. I believe the plates will hold up well for a long time.
When you buy the kit the price of one plate is included, so I did need to pay extra for the additional design and extra plates, but that's a choice that's up to the individual. I believe you can also make a picture on the computer instead of drawing one, although that doesn't seem like as much fun.
I am back to buy more of these as gifts.

Plate Works was easy to use and got the whole family getting creative. My kids loved making their own plates and Mom and Dad did too!

very good, but is not clear that you get five sheets that can be made into plates/mugs in each package with only one product included. wanted to make a set so bought multiples but now have too many . . . . great prodcut needs better description

Great Creative Gift

None of the "play values" really fits this gift, since it is not something you "play with" in an on-going manner. The girls loved creating their own designs and then deciding which ones to have put on their plates. They will probably decide to keep these plates for display or pretend play instead of using them as dishes for eating.

Nicely put together kit. It contains about 5 sheets of paper for your design, plus markers and order sheet. I purchased 2 kits for my 2 children. We really only needed one kit. You are able to make more than one design per kit. But, other than that we are really looking forward to our plates! The Internet design option saves you money if you are planning to use a photo, so that is a bonus!

These plates are a gift for my nieces and nephews, however I remember making plate when I was a kid and I still have it and love looking at it!! I think that they will really enjoy.

We haven't gotten the finished product back yet from the manufacturer so it might be a bit early to review...However, the kit was very clear and the markers worked well. It says 4-6 weeks for delivery so we'll see if that holds true. A great idea for a gift. My daughter is 6 and loves to draw. She can't wait for her plate to come in the mail!

Again, this is a gift for a 6 year old whom I won't see when she receives it. I think because it is a gift which she will personalize she will enjoy it. Winters are long and cold where she lives, and it's an excellent indoor activity.
Neat gift idea

I purchased two Plate Works as gifts for my daughter's friends. Neither birthday party has occurred yet, so I have no feedback on how they liked the product. It appealed to me because it is affordable, different than the usual character-driven toys that 5-year olds seem to want and requires creativity.
