My 5yo son absolutely loves Stomp Rockets. He can spend up to an hour blasting rockets into the sky. My 7yo daughter and the tween boys next door keep asking for a turn. I would give Stomp Rockets 5 stars if I was just rating on the enjoyment factor. I took away 2 stars because the toy itself is not sturdy. One leg of the base broke on the first day. I was able to repair it with duct tape. On the 2nd day some of the fins fell off one of the rockets.
Broken leg, duct tape, and flimsy fin fins. We'd say that's reason to fly on in for help! Our customer recieved a replacement. Please visit the Returns & Exchanges center for details.

Review for Stomp Rocket® Junior

This is a great toy... my grandchildren really enjoy it. I gave it only three stars because it is poorly constructed. I had to tape the base together during the first five minutes of play! The styrofoam rockets break easily. The basic idea of a stomp rocket is great. I suggest lowering the price, due to poor construction, or fix the problem.

The stomp pad and foam rockets are great but the stand is useless. It falls apart after every stomp. My grandson (4 yrs.) just holds the air tube and stomps!

My son would probably play with the toy more if we could put it together correctly. Looks like there should've been 3 yellow parts to assemble the base however we only had two. The toy doesn't sit up correctly so the rockets just shoot to the side and not up in the air.
If a part is missing from manufacturer's box - here's the best part. We'll take care of it for you. Our customer was promptly provided a complete Stomp Rocket set. Please visit our Returns & Exchanges center for quick assistance.

Fun!

It is really fun but it doesn't stay together well and requires an adult to hold the base while the kids stomp. We are hoping it will work better after we duct tape it together. Other than that, it is fun and easy to use.

Love this product but the rockets seem cheaply made. I understand they need to be lightweight and soft in order to be safe, but the blue fins fell off the rocket base from very little use. The toy is still useable, but the rockets don't launch as well without the fins. Still a fun toy!

Not really durable
Posted 9/10/2011 by Robyn
Rating: 3

The stand needs to be more durable it comes apart way to easy, the rockets wings need a different design, I have a 3 year old grandson that just loves this but I have had to glue the wings back on the rockets each time he plays with it. The product is really fun. He has a great time with it.
When rocket support is needed, we're on board to assist! We promptly shipped replacements for the defective rockets. Please visit the Returns & Exchanges center for details.

Stomp Rocket

Both of my kids, 3 and 6, really like it. They can put the rocket on the base on their own, and enjoy chasing down the rocket just as much as stomping on it for blast off. I do have concerns with how long the rocket will last, it seems pretty flimsy. The base frequently falls apart and I need to asemble it. One of the rockets lost one of its wings after only a few uses.
If rocket fins disengage after only a few lift-offs, contact us. Replacement rockets were quickly shipped from our command center. Visit Returns & Exchanges for details.)

5-year-olds love this
Posted 3/15/2011 - GRANDPARENT
Rating: 3

This is a VERY basic toy, however the twin girls love it. They understand how the rock launches, which I like. That said, the rockets are styrofoam with plastic fins glued on. Most of the fins came off or partly off pretty quickly with use. I have reglued them, so we'll see how long they stay on this time.
Please note that refill rockets are available when rockets show wear or are successfully launched beyond your rooftop.

Stomp Rocket Jr - can take it or leave it

The boys, close to age 2 and close to age 7, both enjoyed it immediately after unwrapping. They haven't gone back to it again yet but probably overwhelmed with all the new stuff to play with. They have only played with it indoors. I agree with other reviewers that the base is flimsy, it does not hold the hose very well. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly my almost 2 year old could figure out how to use it and actually launch the rocket pretty high!

Good, but not great

I bought this as a birthday gift for my 3-year old son. He enjoys playing with it, but his older sister does so way more. I, as a mom, really enjoy stomping on the pad, too and think it is especially fun to play with outside. Unfortunately, on 3 out of the 4 rockets, one part came off shortly after we had received it. I will try to superglue the parts back on the rockets and think that will take care of it.
Before you get out the superglue, call us! We'll do our best to make sure your play experience is a sky-rocketing success. We took care of our customer and guess what - we're here for you, too.

My grandsons, 4 and almost 2, both love this toy. The personal interaction is great and together they are working hard at loading and retrieving the rocket... and taking turns at the launch. However, I am disappointed in the construction. I was expecting Fisher Price quality and endurance for this age group, and now expect that a couple weeks play will result in a product that no longer works. I'd like to see it with a permanently assembled base and a tougher hose/stomp pedal.

My rating of Stomp Rocket® Junior

Hose crimps easily when stepped on. The base kept coming apart. The rockets do fly well though when enough air pressure is applied.
A hose that crimps, a faulty base? A new Stomp Rocket is flying in as a replacement. Please visit the Returns & Exchanges center for upmost customer care.

It is very simple for toddlers to use, which is nice. My only concern is that the rockets themselves, break really easily. I understand that they are foam to make them safer. On the first day of use, one of ours was broken. Otherwise, the kids had fun with it.

Although we had to fasten the stand together with a ziptie, this was great fun for our 4yr and 6yr old grandsons. Would recommend manufacturer improve the stand assembly. It falls apart quite easily.

outside fun

Due to winter weather, we haven't had lots of opportunities to play with this set. The girls giggle when the stomp on the red pad and see the rockets launch. We don't have to worry about the rockets hurting them or our dog. Great product for fun outdoors. We have also been able to use it in our discussion about pressure and it's effects in our homeschooling curriculum.

A rating of Stomp Rocket® Junior

While the concept is awesome for this toy, it is a bit flimsy and hard to get the stand to stay up sturdily while trying to get ready to launch the rocket. The hose is kind of stiff - if it were more flexible, it would be easier to use and not knock the stand over with the rocket on it before launching.
