This silly thing kept my son and his friends busy for hours and has since kept my son entertained for the entire week since he recieved it. I bought two extra rockets just in case they got lost. They land on the roof all the time, but eventually blow down.

What I love about this toy is that the beauty is in the simplicity. While it seems like it is a little on the pricy side for what it is, it is awesome to open the box and have an eight year old know exactly what to do to make it work. I think the fact that he wanted to play with it outside in the dark as soon as it was out of the box says it all. In an age where kids all want video games, this is exactly the kind of physical and educational toy that can still get them excited.

The kids played with it as soon as they received with 4 adults watching to make sure they played together nicely. The bracket holding the launcher broke within a few minutes of play. They loved the toy and were, of course, disappointed.

great toy for young ( & big) kids, hours of fun to be had. Kids tend to be very creative with this toy and are able to find many uses and develop many games with the launch pad and rockets - they can even make their own rockets using small empty water bottles.

My kids first tried another child's Ultra Stomp Rocket while at the park, and they begged me for it afterwards. It's simple design provides fun for all ages (my kids are 8, 4, and 2). Even I'm impressed by how high it goes...We've already lost one rocket to the roof, so we'll probably by ordering an extra package. Would make a great gift, especially since it's not found in the mass merchants.

My son received one of these for Christmas and it was an absolute HIT. He and all the neighborhood kids (whom range in age from 3 to 12 years old) played with the Stomp Rocket for hours. I just purchased another as a birthday present, making this the 3rd Stomp Rocket purchase for us. You just cannot go wrong with this simple, affordable toy.

This toy has a fairly simple design, but provides lots of excitement. I remember getting a toy like this for Christmas as a kid, so I thought I'd get this rocket launcher for my kid. The main difference is that this stomp rocket shoots it's large, foam tipped darts about 20X farther than mine. I am reviewing this rocket as a parent (a few weeks before my kid opens it for Christmas) to decide if I want to buy a second for my other son. I'll admit - I'm impressed. Assembly: It took just a few minutes to assemble the 3-part base and to attach the air hose to the base. Then I tried a couple of test shots across the house. Based on the wife's response, we'll call this is definitely an OUTDOOR toy. (The one I had as a kid was safe inside). Quality: The toy itself is obviously pretty cheap, the all the parts seem reasonably durable. I'll have to write a new review in several months to see if these toys withstand the test of time. My first impression, though, is that the darts will last if we keep the baby from chewing on them. Even the plastic parts used as fins seem pretty thick. The part that seems the most flimsy is the air hose, but I guess time will tell the true quality. This toy looks fun. Too much fun for just one. I'm getting a second so my boys came have rocket competitions (or rocket wars) with each other.

Generally I'm pleased with the stomp rockets. I love the fact that it doesn't require batteries and yet creates lots of energy. The plastic stand is flimsy and will not hold together so we just hold it in our hand to launch. And the rockets' fins are already after less than a month have torn and are falling off. Wish it could be better constructed. It feels like a toy that just isn't made to last, unfortunately.

Great physical toy for the boys. Make sure you launch/stomp in an open field or you'll risk the rockets falling into the neighbor's when the wind is strong.

I am disappointed by the quality of the product. I don't anticipate it will last more than a few weeks. That being said, my son four year old son loves the toy. We have played with it several times in the last few days.

These things are SO much fun. We take them on vacation with us, find a park, and go to it. They have soft tips, so are safe. My husband and I enjoy them too. A great family activity.

Not the sturdiest but not overpriced either. The rocket soars the 200 ft when an adult steps on it but when a toddler does it goes up maybe 10 feet which we think works out just great.

Loved the natural energy that goes into launching the rocket and chasing after it. I bought it for my nephew for Christmas, and ALL the cousins had fun chasing rockets around the park and stomping them into the air. The adults had fun too. The rockets do break, and they do best where there are no buildings to catch them. Plan on getting one for MY son this Christmas.

I am teaching a Space Camp this summer and this will be a fun, safe and easy way for the kids to act out a launch, and for me to talk about it. They are 3-4 years old for one group and up to 7 in another. I liked how easy it is to use even with your hands. I have seen it used at birthday parties in a park, the ideal setting.

We just got together with relatives who we hadn't seen at Christmas. When the kids opened their gifts, the Stomp Rocket was the immediate favorite. We gave it to twins so there were two Stomp Rockets. The kids abandoned all the other gifts and went into the backyard, on a warm winter day, to play with them and seemed to have a ball. Note: This toy works better on a flat surface than on one that isn't. Still, the kids didn't seem to mind and the adults had a quiet hour or two while they were outside sending rockets to the moon...

I got this for three boy siblings, one for each of them, and they love to do competitions on who shoots the rocket further away. Its great to see them run and go crazy when these rockets go up in the air. They've attached plastic soldiers to the ends and all kinds of other small toys to see how they fly off into space.

We were pleasantly surprised when our 6 year old grandson got all excited when he saw the Ultra Stomp rocket box. He had played with it before and loved it. After opening the package and assembling the rocket he shot rockets up into the two-story ceiling and had the best time. He had received many birthday gifts but this one was the hit of the party. Other kids loved playing with it too. We highly recommend this product.

Super fun for everyone! Took to the beach and had a crowd watching has we went as high up as we could then went as long as we could. Easy to do and easy to tote around just about anywhere. Best for wide open spaces.

The Ultra Stomp Rocket I purchased to use in a school setting as a speech-language therapy tool to motivate socially challenged students to work together. It was easy to assemble quickly before recess. I recommend the Ultra, as in the past I have used other stomp rockets and the rockets were too small. The rockets are big enough to not be fragile. I highly recommend this product and may buy it for my own children at home!

Easy to use rocket takes off with a powerful trajectory and thrills the kids launching it. Of course, boys being boys, after a few launches, they started attaching things to the rocket (a transformer, a glo stick, a flag) but it kept them amused and my nephew called his friends and had them come over to see it as well. Very simple to put together without tools. 90% plastic and I hope it is more durable than it feels. The kids think it is great and they are learning how different positions and angles effect the flying pattern of the rocket. But mostly my kids just love to stomp and jump on it to see how high they can get it to go. It would make a good string guide to get a rope over a high limb to hang a swing. It really goes high and no batteries needed that is the best part.

My son loves this toy. He has figured out how high it goes based on how tall our house is. He is 7 and helps our 5 year old on how to estimate his height of his rocket by using the tall tree in our yard and our house. It came with 4 rockets, we bought 2 extra. They each do three and work on taking turns. They exercise teamwork by going after each other's rockets. It is neverending fun for them!

Our neighbor had this toy and our son longed for it all last summer; he was thrilled to finally get it for his birthday! At 8 yrs old, he can stomp that thing pretty hard and get the rocket to go really high, but even his 5 y/o sister has a blast with it. The neighbor's stomp rocket lasted through a whole summer of kids jumping on it, and I expect ours will too :-)

I picked up several sets to give at Christmas....What a hit this was. kids from 3 to 15 played with this for hours and adults got into the action too. Its so simple to set up and shoot. All the kids lined up waiting for their turn shouting "it's my turn now" when it was their time. I was surprised and pleased at the excitment this toy created.

I bought this ultra and the smaller stomp rocket for my 5 and 3 year old grandsons. It was the perfect gift since they could both participate and not compete for just one unit. Had a great time. Fun toy. My 7 year old loved it. The only reason four instead of five stars is the construction of the "stand" that holds up the mechanism. Seems flimsy and may break easily. We make sure to keep the part you stomp on as far from the stand as possible. But still a fun toy if kids are playing with it properly.

My 7 yr old daughter received this as a birthday present and loves it! It works exactly as described and shot the rockets well into the air. Obviously, the bigger the person jumping on the launcher, the higher it would go. She was happy to have several of us playing with it together so we could see who could shoot it higher, farther, etc. It was great to play with something that didn't need batteries and didn't involve looking at a screen. My only concern is how long the stomper part will last...as bigger kids play it may be harder for it to "reinflate" to launch more rockets.

I bought this knowing that I had 15 kids coming to a family party. The kids loved it! It's made of higher quality plastic and the rockets are scuffed after being shot over concrete and through the trees but they're all still intact and kept everyone occupied for well over an hour. The rockets really do fly quite far or high enough for that "wow" factor. My children have played with it twice since the party so I feel it's a great value that really does what it promises.

We bought the Stomp Rocket for our six-year-old neighbor for his birthday. He absolutely loved it. The kids love to play with it on the patio. They take turns seeing who can send the rockets up the highest, and who can catch them as they fall. Even the adults want to play. It is a very fun, entertaining toy.

My nephew opened it last week for his birthday. I took it outside and set it up and before long, everybody--himself, his sister, and a bunch of adult relatives were lining up to take their turn. Great product. The only annoyance is that the rocket stand falls apart frequently--but it's easy and quick to put back together again.

Kids loved it but we live in Iowa and it is an outside toy. Dangerous inside and you want it to be standing up so it does not hit someone, but the kids liked the fun of jumping and making it sail into space. Even aunt and uncle, grandma and grandpa, mom and dad had to take turns.

This is a lot of fun for our soon-to-be 10 year old. It's something he and his younger brother can do outside (and attempt inside...). It's easy enough to do that most children can enjoy it. For the price, it's just what I expected. Hopefully they'll enjoy it for a long time. I'm glad to see that replacement rockets are available.

My son, who is almost 2, loves stomp rockets! We were told they were a good toy for kids with flat feet, which he has. It's safe and easy and fun. The only thing I don't like is the stand you attach the rocket to. It's a little flimsy and we had to tape it just so it was stay together. Other than that, we love it.

we used it only a few times so far and 2 of the rockets went so high that they got stuck in the tree - but nothing you can reach with a ladder! We'll have to wait til the wind blows them down. Much easier than a hydrogen rocket we tried last year but goes just as high.

My grandkids, ages 3-10 just love this toy! They play with it outdoors and it's lots of fun. The main problem I is that the connecting yellow plastic pieces that hold the stomp rocket up break easily and are cheaply made. This is the second stomp rocket set I bought because the first one broke. Because my kids like it so much I decided to buy it again. I give this toy four stars because the kids love it, but it gets only one star for durability.

My son, who is 4, absolutely loves this toy. Even though it says the toy is for older kids, he has no problem launching the rockets and is very proud at how high he can make the rockets go. We took the launcher to the playground and in no time at all had a large group of kids all wanting to take a turn! My son certainly proved that day that he knows how to share!

I gave this as a valentine present to my 6 year old grandson which he loved it but could only play alittle bit outside due to the weather. But, my 2 year old picked it up and played with all evening as a vacuum cleaner. simple but clever toy that even the "big boys" in the family enjoyed while outside.

it is lots of fun and the rocket flies really high. the stand is a little rickety (it's lightweight) we live in a windy city and it tends to blow over, but we can work around that. it's fun because it really flies!

5 year old nephew loves this. He was amazed how high these rockets went. Very easy to use. The harder the stomp, the higher the rockets go. Easy to assemble.

A big hit - even taught our dog to retrieve the rockets. Liked that you could angle the launch pad - made it fun for the dog to chase after it. We used 'targets' to see how close we could get the rocket. Had a giant Frisbee with a hole in the center. Would run under the rocket and try to 'catch' it in the center. Great exercise for all concerned.

Seems really well made; can change the angle for the rockets; needs no batteries and gets kids outside!

The Stomp Rocket is easy to assemble, easy to use and was a hit with my nephew. It keeps the kids entertained for significant amounts of time.

This is the third Ultra Stomp Rocket I've given a grandchild for a birthday. It is the toy first reached for, and generally the planned festivities come to a halt while the child (and the parents) have to try out the rocket. It works!

We have been buying this toy for 8 years and have always been extremely satisfied. The kids/grandkids love it and pull it out to the front yard every chance they get! Even the little ones can play. It's a HUGE HIT when we bring it to the park...we always draw a crowd!

I gave this toy to my nephew(8yrs old) as a birthday gift. After opening it he and my daughter(4yrs old) played with it outside for over an hour before we had to leave. They both loved it, so much fun! It does fly a good distance so they got lots of exercise running to get their rockets.

This is a great version of this toy - I've bought a different one in the past and it wasn't made as well so the stomp pad didn't hold up to all the stomping and to rockets didn't last. This one feels sturdier and has a metal tightening wing-nut on the connection between the tube and stomp pad which helps keep the parts together during energetic stomping. My son (8) loves this toy and just cracks up when those rockets go flying - and they go FAR.

I'm ordering this toy again-- my 5 year old grandson played with it so much that it was "loved" to pieces! The StompRocket appeals to both boys and girls, gets kids outdoors and moving, and is fun for children across a range of ages to play with (even grownups).

I have seven gkids all 5 and under. Bought this for grandson that just turned 5. He was amazing, and he shared with all his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents! We all had a super time stomping the rocket in all different directions. Even held the babies up and helped them stomp, it was great fun! What I loved was the ease of set up, no batteries, and it generated lots of activity and exercise.

We bought this for our cousin's 4th birthday. Before the poor little guy could even open the rest of his presents, his dad had it assembled and was launching rockets across the living room for older cousins to catch. We launched rockets off the deck into the backyard where the kids were waiting. Eventually, we even let the kids play with it! The birthday boy and his 5-year-old brother really seemed to enjoy playing with this, as did my 4 little boys (ages 4-8) and other cousins in their 20's. I plan to order more for the many birthday parties we attend for little boys at school. For this price, there aren't any better toys on the market. It's sturdy, well-constructed, doesn't have too many little pieces and keeps them occupied for hours at a time.

This toy is such a simple concept but captivated for a five year old boy who likes to see how things work. My son was given this as a gift for his birthday and virtually everything in the house has become his launch pad. It's a great idea, safe and easy to use.

This is the second Stomp Rocket I've purchased. The first was for my grandson. He loves it, his friends love it, and some adults love to pay too. I just recently ordered another for my grandson's friend for his birthday, because he wants to play with it every time he comes over. We love the simplicity of it (no batteries, etc.) It has been a hit with the children at two birthday parties.

Bought for 7 year old boy, who's really interested in space and science right now. Been using it to explain scientific ideas like thrust and gravity as well as personal ideas like sharing with his 4 year old brother!

we love stomp rockets and the ultra's are the way to go! the rocket are really sturdy, the part you jump on seems like it will last forever. i wish the base was a bit more heavy duty, but overall, great fun!
