My son loved assembling the product. The instructions were easy to understand and he only needed minimal adult assistance. My only concern is that the parts do not stay assembled very well. He has had to rebuild it several times. Some of the rebuild could probably be attributed to handling the product and having fun.

Space Shuttle

Rating:

It was very difficult to put together. The age stated on the box was for 5 year olds. I would not recommend this for anyone under 10 years old. Very small pieces easily fell off.

Not The Leggos Of Yesterday

Good idea gone wrong. My husband and son put this together with relative ease. Yet, the space shuttle does not stay together very long. It is definately for display only and not for any type of play. Even picking it up to move it would cause pieces to fall off. And it is not the same as the picture on the box. The pieces seem cheaply made, not like those we played with and knocked around as children ourselves. I would not recommend it, even for display.

My son loves spaceships and Lego's so this was a perfect fit. As someone else pointed out in their review, the item isn't quite as the picture shows. The wings aren't flat. They are the Lego snap surface, so you can't put the NASA emblem or the flag there. Also, the wingtip pieces do not stay on. Other than that, it's a great toy.

3-2-1-BLAST OFF

Rating:

This was just what we were looking for! Our son loves his building blocks... he's seen 3 shuttle launches so far and has really gotten into the whole "space" thing. We're trying to encourage his interest and we've been looking for a hands-on, construction type, age-approriate toy for him... this was perfect! I'm not crazy about the little pieces, but it's something that he and his dad can sit down and play with together.

This project was great for what I needed. My son is in third grade and for science he had to build a space station and a spaceship.

My five year old son is going to study the solar system soon in school. When he saw this toy, he asked me if we could purchase it. So we did. The instructions were easy to follow. I needed to assist him in building it though. The toy wasn't exactly the same as the picture on the box. But overall, it was a great way to use his imagination about the wonders of outer space.

My son loved it. It's "Legos" but in the shape of the space shuttle!
