Great Hands-On Experience

I bought this terrarium for my son's 4th birthday. He loves plants and loves to work on the garden with me in the summer. Once he started bringing in bits of plants this fall and trying to repot them in all our houseplants (not a big success so far!) I decided that we needed something that could be planted indoors with low maintance. This kit fit the bill to a "t". We followed the instructions and I helped my son plot out where he would plant the various seeds and then he got to put in the planting mix and water and everything else (there are different types of pebbles and stones to lay out) in the correct steps. He loved it! It requires a little patience but the first seeds begin to grow in four days and he was so excited! Everything has now started to sprout up after two weeks. The best part is that you only have to water it once every 4-6 months which means that you can enjoy observing it but not have to mess with it too often. I ended up ordering two more terrariums- the fairy ones for gifts.

Excellent product. I purchased it for my six-year-old son. He loved making the terrarium design. Plants began to develop within a week.

Cool gift so far

The Sensory Dome Terrarium is for my husband! He really wanted something to bring a little life into his office and we thought this would do the trick. He planted and arranged all of the seeds recently. In only a few days there are already plants growing. I think this would be a great gift for a kid too. It is fun to read about each plant and where they come from. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because it has not been growing for long.

Sensory Dome Terrarium

We had fun setting up the terrarium. We just got our first signs of growth today. We are using the sensory dome to help us further explore the five senses. We were thrilled that this product was available to augment our studies.

To Fat Brain Toys The item I purchased was sent to my granddaughter in Texas. I did not get to see it. However, she did call and thank me for it, and was absolutely delighted with it.
