This is an excellent reading comprehension tool and the students absolutely love reading and re-reading to get the correct answer when they use the Hot Dots pen.

My son is 4 and loves his Hot Dots! It is a perfect activity for him to do by himself while I am making dinner as the pen tells him if he has the right answer. We have a lot of different sets of cards and they are all great because they get harder as you progress through them and each card builds from the last one. I highly recommend this toy...it even worked great as a travel toy on a recent plane trip.

We bought this pen and the cards for my son's 4th birthday and overall he has really enjoyed playing with the set. Occassionally the pen will not work for him and I have to play with it a little to get the volume working again. But, overall it has been a good purchase.

With 3 children at home, these have been extremely helpful in teaching them. I recommend Hot Dots Reading to anyone who is working with children. They love learning.

I just used these cards in my classroom today and the kids loved them. We are really focusing on their reading skills and this is just another way to really hone in on those skills that students may need more help with.

Hot Dots Reading Comprehension is ideal for reading station/center use. Students are able to work independently as I pull small groups for intensive instruction. The self-checking capability gives the students immediate feedback so they can instantly measure their comprehension. The passages are grade-appropriate and of high interest to the students. The added bonus is the talking Hot Dots pens! The students love the various responses. I love the fact that the volume is just loud enough for the student to hear - it is not so loud that it disturbs other working students. I'm looking forward to using ALL the Hot Dots Reading Comprehension sets in my classroom!
