It's fun for me

Really like the packaging and the renewable aspect of being a bamboo toy (noting that the packaging is larger than necessary but cool). Fun toy / game - definitely harder than it looks. Fun family game, while purchased for our young daughter we played it and enjoyed it. Good short-attention span game!

Pandabo A Big Hit!
Posted 2/1/2008 by Catherine Grosse

Rating:

My granddaughter saw the Pandobo toy in a catalog and asked for it for her 5th birthday. It was the hit of the party. As soon as she opened it, all her cousins wanted to play the game. They range in age from 3 to 10. I will be buying another one for my grandson who will be 6 in May, and one for my other granddaughter who will be 5 in May. The adults also enjoyed it. It is fun and educational since it teaches about shapes and balance. It also comes in a compact package that can be brought along anywhere easily.

A Great Game!

Setting: Home

My 6 year old son loves pandas, and other games that have balancing and/or crashing as part of the fun. Pandabo has both of these elements, and is fun for our whole family to play. My 8 year old daughter loves that it is "all natural," as she loves the texture of the real bamboo pieces. Even though the panda is cute, the design has broad appeal to boys and girls and multiple ages. The only drawback I can see is that for a younger player, it can indeed be difficult to balance certain pieces or combinations of pieces that the die requires you to balance on your turn. So toppling the stack over, or even accidentally bumping it can lead to a quick end to the game. But the game lends itself easily to "house rules," like only using certain pieces, or not even throwing the die. We are truly enjoying this game!

Taking to Russian Orphanage
Posted 4/24/2008 by Raymond B. Johnson

Rating:

We had previously gotten this toy for our 6-year old grandson. He and I had so much fun that I decided to take it on my next Russian orphanage trip. I will be working with kids from 10 - 17 and I'm sure that they will enjoy it. And languagfe won't be a barrier!

Pandabo

The product quality and game play is great. The only improvement point I can think of is that with the exception of the instructions, the entire game could have fit into a container only 1/4 - 1/3 the size.

Great Review!

Setting: Classroom

What a great game for little ones (ages 3 and up)! I will use this in my kindergarten classroom for independent game play in September. We will use it during our black and white color exploration week. We will have a black and white 'panda party' as a culminating event at the end of the week. Pandabo promotes fine motor manipulation and hand-eye coordination. It makes the user think about weight distribution concepts and strategic planning. I love that it is a natural product, made from the plant the panda eats (a great science tie in). It is also wonderful for non-readers given the picture directions on the die. And, any teacher or parent will be happy not to buy batteries for this game. I can't wait to share it with my class!
