Not what I expected

Have not placed order for mantis egg yet. But, a bit concerned with the complexity of this project. I wish the instructions would have been posted with the kit description. I feel it's a bit deceiving to sell a product, but not tell the buyer what all is involved in hatching and maturing a praying mantis. Give people the necessary information to make an informed decision on whether this is something they can undertake! Also, the form to order the mantis egg was not in the box, so I'm really not sure what to do next!

Its a project in process ...

The housing is excellant for the purpose of keeping the little mantis save and protected once they hatch. The kit is complete with everything you need and gives you just enough access to maintain them and at the same time display them to your kids. I purchased the mantis eggs on the internet and received them in a small plastic container which houses three eggs,each egg can hatch upto 200 little mantis. So far one of them has hatch and i have been feeding them every other day with small crickets dead or alive is fine. The kit came with full instructions and diagrams of how to raise and maintain the mantis, so everything is there for you to have a succesful hatch of the eggs. My son is just watching right now while i do all the work but in know time will be able to actually carry them and feed them once they are a little bigger, he is 2 1/2 .

absence of praying mantis

We went to order the praying mantis eggcase and they were sold out for the year !!! It was disappointing for my son because he expected we would be able to get it with the purchase of this kit

Review for Green Earth Praying Mantis Kit

I was deceived! I thought that this "kit" also included the live mantids. You should make it clear that this is ONLY the house and to order the insects somewhere else.


	As much as we love mantises, they wouldn't do well in our warehouse. Please view the subtle bold print within this item's description. We contacted our customer with the option of return. Please visit the Returns & Exchanges center if any product doesn't house 100% satisfaction.
