I work in a public school and each year we have a project. This year it is raising Praying Mantis'. The kit from World Alive is so cool. It has a great habitat with viewing window. We have not ordered the egg case yet. My kids are so excited!

My son is very excited about this set. We don't even have the mantises yet, but he loves the cage, which is currently occupied by frogs, slugs, and a newt. My only complaint...the zipper is very fussy and fragile. It won't stand much use. (to call it "heirloom quality" would go way too far!) Still, it's a fine toy if it's not messed with too much.

I've purchased several similar items...a butterfly environment and a lady bug environment. This one is consistent with the other two. Very sound, but as with the others, be careful of the zippers. They are sewn well, but netting is netting.
