Beatifully crafted wood, but I found it extremly difficult to figure out the tiny print directions. There apparently is a lot of math calculations required that aren't mentioned in the description. My 10 and 12 year old grandkids looked at it once, stacked the blocks up and then weren't interested again. If you could make the manual a little more kid friendly I would think it more in line with your description.

I was drawn to the wonderful colors of the blocks. But I bought it as a building set rather than a game. It is not a very good building set.
