I purchased my son this recycled plastic tool set just recently. I have to say that he loves playing with it and I am having fun teaching him with the tools. I do like the fact that it is recycled. I do wish they added more plastic bolts and nails to the kit. Also, having more items to attach or build with would be great as well. The company wants to be eco-friendly by using recycled plastic, but they pack the kit with way too much cardboard to sell. I think they are just trying to make the tool box appear more full. Bottom line is if your kids like dads, or moms, tools then you should buy this set to keep them busy. I know I wasn't dissapointed, and my son loves having his own set of tools.

My daughter really loves to fix things , and was using our real tools to do so - she accepted this toolset happily and has a ball with it. Well made.

I ordered this for our grandson's second birthday. he has been fascinated with tools for several months, and this toolbox was an immediate hit. The tools are a perfect size, and I like the fact that each tool is labeled. The fact that it is made of recycled material is a bonus. I'll be ordering another one foe our granddaughter's birthday.

I bought this tool set for my niece's 2nd birthday present. She opened it last, and all of her other toys were soon forgotten. Her dad was excited about it too and they immediately started using it together.

Carpentry Toolbox Set
Posted 10/16/2010 by JESSICA P.

Rating:

This is a "mini" version of your dad's toolbox. Complete with a flat head and phillips head screwdriver, a hammer, pliers, a wrench, and a saw. The toolbox also includes 2 screws with bolts and 2 nails. The screws are great because they can be used with either of the screwdrivers and the wrench. The nails however are just slightly too large as they don't fit in the holes provided without a lot of hammering and then they are difficult to remove. Overall this is a great set for children to learn dexterity and will grow with them as they age and have better understanding of construction.

I love the fact that this product is made of recycled milk jugs. I think I should have waited on the purchase, however. I bought it for my two year olds birthday and he keeps trying to stick the screwdriver in his ear. :(

Great toolset. Just the right size and it's great that it came with 2 screwdrivers!

Green Toys are Great

I purchased this tool set, along with Green Toys' indoor gardening kit, as birthday presents for a pair of brothers, ages 3 and 6. They marveled at the gardening kit, and immediately began fighting over the tool set--a sure indication that the toy is well liked. To the kids, the toys are just fun and interesting. To the parents, the recycled content is a bonus--but the toys don't at all feel cheap. You wouldn't know there was anything special about the plastic contents (100% recycled milk jugs) if you didn't read the packaging.

Our 3 year old loves to help his father with building with his own tool set. The tools really hold his interest.

Durable, simple and fun

Overall the Tool set is great. My daughter enjoys playing with it. It is still pretty new to her, so her interest has yet to wane. I would have preferred that it contained another piece that the kids could screw and hammer into. The holes on the tool box can serve that purpose, but it is an awkward task.
