This camping light is great! My son received it as a gift. Since then, I have purchased several as gifts for children and adults. We've used it camping, as well as just for fun when the sun goes down. We highly recommend this product for function and fun.

Good product, but...

Nice product, but the compass on top does not work correctly. The needle does not seem to have enough room to move inside its housing. Not sure if it is a design issue or something wrong with this individual piece.
The light itself seems well made.

great lantern for back yard camping (and occasional reading at night)

purchased 2 laterns to my girls, replacing the cheap kid laterns they had before. i doubt i'll have to replace the terra version as it's built very well. they love it and even my 3 year old quickly picked up on the cranking motion
only minor downside, i'm not sure the compass works that great as one latern pointed north and the other more west? even so, i doubt we'll get lost in our back yard...

My daughters are really into Laura Ingalls and American girls dolls. They love to dress up and play "like in Laura's time." I purchased this lantern to use as prop in such play. They love it and I love that I don't need to keep replacing batteries after they forget to turn it off.
We can't wait to take it camping.

I got this for my 6 year old nephew who loves to go camping. As any child, he can be rough on his toys. This lantern is very durable and has a lot of padding in case it's dropped. He's cranked it himself so it can light up. He's very excited to use it!

I purchased two laterns for my grandsons. My daughter said they can't put them down. They like to play hide and seek in the dark so they can turn them on. The take them outside after dark to visit with the neighbors. They look for any excuse to use them! The laterns are easy to work and the lights stays on for a long time.

Bought the lantern for my grandson, he loves it and carries it around with him. His mother was very impressed with it too, she thought the quality was much more than she expected.
