I got this music set for my niece--she absolutely loves it. It's very good quality, and made to last so that my niece will enjoy it for a long time.

My two year old loves her new "instruments". They encourage imaginary play as she "marches in parades" and performs for her dolls. Her sense of rhythm is improving. When she first began playing her "instruments" it sounded like random banging, now she gets little rhythms going! The set is durable and high quality, similar to the set a her preschool. I wanted a set that was good quality with a wide selection of sounds - this set is perfect. We love it.

Exceptioal Quality

I have worked with early childhood special education in a large school district for over 25 years. We use these instruments in our program and they are extremely durable - ours at school are at least 10 years old & the tambourine is still intact!!
This purchase was for my preschool age grandchildren. I know they will withstand whatever abuse these kids can give them.

I bought this as a gift for my son for Christmas, so he has not played with this yet. I can speak of the quality, though. I was pleased with the quality of all of the instruments. I can see them lasting for a long time.

Hohner 6-pc Instrument Set

We love our instrument set. My son loves to bang on the tambourine and cymbals with different things to make different sounds. This keeps him busy for several minutes and it's building an appreciation for music.

My son and I have enjoyed playing with this instrument set. He loves to play with the triangle and cymbals. The tambourine is not the best quality, but for the price I cannot complain. I looked at a lot of other instrument kits before I bought this one, and I have been very happy with it. If your kids love music, this is a great toy to have!

This is a really nice toy and it comes with a nice canvas bag too. I am a therapist and love two handed instruments. This one comes with five (tambourine with mallet, triangle, sticks, cup and mallet, cymbals, mallet and cymbal) two handed options. The kids love it and I love it because we can work on bilateral coordination and have fun too!

My son loves this product.... He always telling me hes a one man band because he plays the harmonica, the bells, and the symbols at the same time..... I love it too because unlike other musical toys, these are not as loud.... which is great!! Over all i would recommend this product to people...

My children are really enjoying the rhythm set. The only complaint I have is that the handle of the cymbal is already broken. We literally took it out of the box and dropped it on the tile floor and a piece of the wood chipped off.

We bought this music set for my daughter (who is almost 5) and she LOVES it. She was initially interested in the cymbals, but fell in love with the harmonica, sleigh bells and tambourine, too. The wooden cone is less of a favorite, but she still plays with it, especially when friends are over and they are making a band. Overall, the set is a huge hit: high quality, great for kids and durable.

I put this toy in my store, Pee Wee Bees, which is an indoor playground for children between 3 months and 6 years old. It's very popular with kids of that age range. Of course, each piece in the set becomes an independent toy - the metal stick gets separated from the metal triangle and becomes a "poke something / hit something" toy. I wish the appropriate pieces were attached to each other.

We relied on the name Hohner when we chose this particular rhythm band set. We were very disappointed in the tones that were produced from the triangle, soprano sounder, and cymbals. We were expecting a higher quality musical experience. There were scratches on the tambourine, and the wrist bells were not adjustable.

I was so excited to receive this rhythm music set until I opened the box! It was missing mallets, the wrist bell was plastic, and in the box is cloth. The rhythm sticks are weird, one is longer than the other. I don't have a clue why. Everything else is fine. The customer service is at Fat Brain Toys is really good; when I called about the missing parts they immediately contacted Horner to resolve the issue.
