Perfect Product

We bought three sets of the Life Cycle Stages products. The butterfly, the frog, and the ladybug. I originally bought them for my daughter's pre-k teacher for christmas, but my 2 year old loves them so much I'm going to have to buy another set. They are the perfect size, I don't have to worry about him accidently swallowing them. They seem really sturdy, not cheaply made at all. I was surprised at how good the quality is since the sets were so inexpensive.

Silkworm life cycle stages
Posted 3/20/2010 by D.J. Ashford

Rating:

I love the silkworm life cycle stages! It is a wonderful, hands on product for my students. I raise silkworms in my classroom and this set looks so realistic and shows the stages clearly. The picture on your site is actually a picture of a different insect's life cycle, but thankfully the one you shipped to me is the silkworm product.

Very Educational

We purchased this item to compliment the Antworks ant habitat that we also purchased. As a family we have also owned frog, butterfly, and ladybug habitats and models. These small insect lifecycle models are such a terrific educational tool to use with these items. The children love examining them up close and waiting for the next stage of the cycle to appear in our live habitats. We own several of these sets and find them both extremely detailed and very durable.

Realistic Life Cycle Model!

Each of the four stages are realistically represented in this set. It was a great accompaniment as I read the book, The Empress and the Silkworm.

Very well made. Helps a young child undestand the stages very easily.

Rating:

The figures were all so life-like. They gave my class the opportunity to see which stage the silkworms were going into. Very durable and high quality plastic. The only suggestion I would give is for the eggs on the leaves to be colored dark brown and some in a cream color. The eggs are blue, which isn't at all realistic or life-like. Change the color and you've got a winner!!!

the product was exactly what I was expecting. I plan on using the models of teh life cycle stages for a butterfly on a guided tour that we have developed. It will be a wonderful hands-on addition for our tour!
