We love these jumping beans!! My kids are 6 yrs old and 3 yrs old and they love to watch them. If you place them in sunlight they go CRAZY!! As long as you don't leave them in exteme heat/cold you can play with these for a long time!! I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to see something different and fun.

This is the first time any of my three children have seen jumping beans. They are pretty excited about them. They enjoy holding them and just watching them jump and move. My husband and I are pretty entertained by them too. It's nice to see that they are still available for purchase. Check out jumping beans on line to see how to care for them and make them last longer. I only put "plays with it once in a while" because we have been busy and they tend to forget they have them. This was a fun buy!

At first my grand daughter was afraid of the beans but then wouldn't put them down. My son-in-law had never seen or heard about jumping beans and was amazed.

I'm glad you advertised these and at a reasonable price. Some vendors have an order form for when they're in season. I have not heard back from those vendors. I think all 3 of my beans are still kicking. They are a delight to the heart of a grown up kid. There are many of us 70s and 60s retro lovers out there! Keep the good stuff coming.

At first they didn't move much. After a few days, the instructions said they like to be "misted". So I misted them the best I could. I thought I allowed enough time for them to dry. I closed up their individual plastic boxes and didn't think about them for awhile. After a couple of days, I realized I hadn't heard them "clicking". I checked on them and could see they had begun to mold. I had not allowed enough time to dry or overwatered them. Nevertheless, I dried each one individually and left their boxes open again. They have never been more active!! They are jumping like crazy! I think they were thirsty! ha!!! We can hear them from all over the house! A lot of fun!!!!

I was disappointed with these. My 2 sons were not interested in them at all. They barely move. Not exciting.
 |
 |
Say that softly, once the little guys have their spirits crushed, they can hardly muster the muscle to move. Keep them warm and cozy and they'll jump for joy. Give them time in metamorphosis and they'll move more enthusiastically before hatching. If you're still not moved by the critters, contact us! We're fond of the little beanditos and fond of you too- we'll make it right. Please visit the Returns & Exchanges center for details.

i remember these from when I was a kid! Couldn't resist getting them for my children. They think they're pretty cool, too. Mostly they sit on the table and the kids check in on them every once in a while.

These little guys are neat. Ordered 3, assuming I might get a dud or 2, which I did, but I can't complain for the reasonable price I paid. Very cute little container. Should come with a reminder about how to take care of them. I got used to hearing the little clicking that kept me company : ) and kinda miss the little guys when I gave them away as a gift.

The beans do jump but not much, and not often. It may be due to the colder weather.
 |
 |
Snuggle up with your Beandito. Beanditos will jump most when they are in a warm, cozy environment. When your little Beanditos are in metamorphosis, they will go dormant for a short time. Watch closely! You may have the rare privilege of witnessing the birth of a Beandito hatchling!)

It is neat when they are jumping but that is sporadic. We cannot figure what makes the beans jump and lately they have been quiet, and I assume they are dead?
 |
 |
Don't hold a funeral yet! The Jumping Beans go dormant just before hatching. Your about to witness a Jumping Bean miracle!

At first, my 5 year old daughter loved them. She thought they were really cool and took them to school for show and tell the next day. Then she got bored. They hopped around for a few days. In less than a week they were pretty much quiet. They didn't seem to like to be picked up or moved because they would stop hopping for a few minutes and then start up again. I would have liked it better if they came with some instructions or information.
 |
 |
Shhhh... Remember - if the jumping slows, your Beandito is most likely in the dormant phase to be followed by hatching into the cutest, harmless, non-clothing-eating little moth you've ever seen! Welcome your little hatchling into the world and then send him South. Adios Beandito!

You may be pioneers in reviving the popularity of a very old traditional simple pastime. My father gave me a couple when I wa a schoolboy and he said he played with them when he was a boy which was more than a century ago. I know I always carried a jumping bean and horse chestnut (buckeye) in my pocket, just to wile the idle hours away during school busy time!

I bought twelve of these Beanditos for birthday party favors and they were a huge hit. Most of the children were sitting with their beans for a long time after the party... It's three days later and the beans are still jumping and the kids are still fascinated (and treating them like pets). Awesome!

Freaked out my daughter (in a good way)

I purchased two sets of these and they were in a box that I had sent to my daughter's house. The gifts inside weren't for her family, so she hadn't opened the package; it was waiting for me to arrive in her town.
I received this text: "What the heck are jumping beans and what are they doing in my house?" Apparently, she had spent twenty minutes looking for the source of the scratchy clicky sound in their guest room and she was convinced there was a mouse in the house.
THEN she remembered I had mentioned them being in the box.
She later played the trick on her husband, so it was fun for all!

I bought two sets of beans. One set for my autistic 3 1/2 year old grandson and the other set for another relative the same age.(typically developing)My grandson shows no interest. The other little boy is loving his jumping beans & seems proud of himself for having his own "pet".I found a website that tells you how to care for the beans and even has videos so the kids can see what the caterpillars & moths look like.I think it is a neat way to start to teach a child the responsibility of having a living pet to care for.
