This toy is awesome. It flies sometimes for several minutes, is sturdy and fun to use. This may become our go to toy when needing a gift.

A fun plane - we purchased 2 of them but could only get one to work well. Not sure why. We have only used it once because you need to go to a very large space to use it. We could only get a good flight about every 4th time, and the last time it took off, and went higher and higher, it was amazing. It then traveled the length of 2 or 3 football fields on the wind! Thankfully it hit a tree and fell to the ground or we would have lost it! Very cool idea and product when it works.

Its a good outside toy as the spring is powerful and it packs a powerful release. The flyer has been truely fun and soars well!

This plane goes up nicely but does not stay up for long periods. I bought it for a 7 year old who needs help cranking and releasing it. I think this will be a fun toy for a little while.

My son loves it! The plane, although necessary for flying purposes, is made of very light (and not so durable material)... But we understand it needs to be light in order to fly. My son was just a little rough with it.
It Flies Too Well

This flyer really does fly well... too well. Ours never returned from its maiden voyage. It was caught by a light breeze, spiraled high into the air over the tallest trees, soared over the street and took off towards the nearby woods. Last we saw it it was still going strong with no hint of descending any time soon. It would have been a 5 star if it hadn't flown off like that. We searched for it for a while, but never did find it. It's hard to complain about a toy airplane flying too well, but in our case it was a bit of a problem.

We love a well grounded sense of humor. Though unfortunate in one aspect, exemplary commentary and a lasting memory in another.

Great for my 5-year-old

We purchased this toy for my son who loves airplanes. He loves this thing. We'll take it outside and let it fly. It will fly too...in circles. Once a breeze caught it and took it over 50ft in the air. We had to get it out of a tree once too. He loves it and I love that it doesn't use batteries so it's not hard to maintain.
One gripe, however is that it's Styrofoam construction means that it will need repairs as ours has already. I really don't know how they could make it better, but this is an issue as the wings are very thin and can break easily if not handled with care.
