Lots of fun

This is a prefect toy for a 5 year old boy -- its a car, it goes fast, does all sorts of neat tricks, and it is easy to operate. We ended up with two as a result of an unexpected gift, and spend lots of time racing the cars around the house.

Great gift for a six year old boy

We gave our grandson the Land Shark for his birthday. It happened to be a weekend with rain off and on all weekend. He lives in a new neighborhood with lots of construction going on so there was a winning combination of the Land Shark, a six year-old boy and water. He ran it in and out of muddy puddles, got stuck, backed up and over lumps of mud. He spun around on brown water making it even muddier. He was in heaven. Next, I want to set up a race course using a garden hose as the sides of the course to test his hand-eye coordination and the remote's controls. Cool toy that's not too fast as some are where they bang them into walls and parent's feet. The dog hates it.

Lots of fun! Takes a little while to get used to the controls. Since the vehicle goes pretty fast, we're always backing up to get out of little jams. The controller is a little flimsy, and the control levers need a firm push to make contact (which my six year old gets frustrated because he has to push so hard). Overall seems to be a good product for the money. We haven't tried them outside, or in the water yet.

We bought this for our two year old grandson. He likes it, but he is a bit young to be able to master the controls and maneuver the vehicle. It does work very well on all surfaces, even on carpeting which was something we thought might be a problem. It was no problem. It is made well, it is sturdy.

Good Toy

I got this toy as a birthday present for my neighbor who turned 4. He didn't have any experience with remote controlled toys and he really seems to enjoy it. The controls were confusing even to me, but I thought that made it more challenging and gave it the element of unpredictability which was fun. He still has not tried it in the water which is probably good because he's the type that would submerge and likely ruin it if it was in water deep enough to do so. It had a hard battle because his parents got him some expensive toys and he's very much into his VSmile system but they tell me he's still playing with the Land Shark. The antennae is very flimsy and he was constantly trying to pick it up and position it with that. Also the antennae cover was not long enough and kept falling off of it. It could bump into things with no damage either way and did not hurt at all if it hit you. Overall, a really good toy.

The Morphibian - Land Shark is a lot of fun. Our pond was a bit too slimy at the time of launch so the shark didn't get very far. We'll try the pond again in the spring.

Handled most terrain but wet or higher grass not as effective. Did go straight into water and was maneuverable. It is a little difficult for a 4 y.o. to maneuver - a joystick might be better.
My grandson loved operating it and loved that it could go on gravel, dirt, sand, and water.
It might operate better if the wheels were made of rubber instead of plastic - less slip.

My husband and I purchased this as a gift for our son, who was turning 3. We went searching for good rated, easy to use remote control cars with a "cool" older kid look- after being so disappointed in the reviews we found about the Fisher Price bounce back racer. We are SO glad we found Fat Brain Toys and this product!! Our son (and let's be honest...my husband) LOVE this toy! It is rugged/tough, has a cool look that makes you think it's an older kid toy (not meant for "babies), however it is so easy to use! By the end of my son's birthday dinner he had pretty much mastered the remote. Even his younger sister (who recently turned 2) enjoyed playing with the toy- not getting frustrated with the remote at all. My son has played with this toy every day- we have not yet taken it outside, but I can tell you it rolls across our carpet NO problem. We can't wait to see it in action outside!

This is a great product! Durable, easy to control and entertaining. My 4 year old son loves it, as well as my 5 year old daughter (when he lets her have a turn!!) We have had a lot of remote control cars come and go... this one is built to last.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD NEPHEW. HE LOVES IT. IT'S EASY TO USE. I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND.

Cool look but no range

We purchased the Land Shark for a three year old. He likes it, and can handle the controls, but the range of control is a huge disappointment. It is advertised as long range but won't work in or around our home beyond a four-foot radius. We will return this item.

The motor seems to work intermittently as the battery begins to get low (rather than getting slower). Other than that, it is a fun toy.

This toy will be given to another grandchild. It is the third time that I have purchased this Morphibian Land Shark for grandchildren. One of them even tapes cloth items to it to trail behind. I have no reason to believe that this one will not bring the same joy. This is my first purchase from Fat Brain and I was amazed at how quickly it was shipped and delivered. Thank you.

Our 4.5 year old son LOVES his new RC car! After opening it Christmas morning we were pretty impressed with its ruggedness as it plowed through wrappings and boxes that were strewn about! He thought this was REALLY cool! It is surprisingly more powerful than other RC cars that he has had. He is still working on mastering the steering, but seems to be having a LOT of fun! This was an RC car that surpassed our expectations.

Decent toy; only one channel

I ordered a pair of these for my 9-year-old son, with the idea that he could use them for races, tag games, etc. Envisioning crashes, I was attracted by the relatively sturdy looking design. The Land Shark does seem to be sturdy enough, but it has ONLY ONE RADIO CHANNEL, 49 mhz with no way (that I've found) to change it. So, it's not possible to race two of them against one another. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere in the product description. One of the other reviewers even mentions racing them; I'm not sure how that would be possible, unless they are racing a Land Shark against a different model car.

We contacted our customer. Kid Galaxy vehicles function simultaneously if they are of differing frequency channels. For best racing results, pair two different RC vehicles with different mhz frequencies. We are happy to put you in the fast lane if you need a product return or exchange. This is a very fun, easy to manuever RC toy. It was purchased for my 9y old son and he loves it. It seems fairly durable and have had no problems with in the week that he's played with it. He has yet to get it in water.

The Land Shark has the best traction of any RC toy we have purchased for our grandson. It is fairly easy to steer and can move quickly. It's short wheelbase make it, I think, highly manuverabl- somethink does. We haven't had it near water - yet, so we can't comment on it watertight integrity, but the battery compartment seems well protected. It has become non-responsive to the remote control at a distance that should be acceptable but this is not a constant occurance. I think it's great - my grandson will be the final judge. It's too early to tell but I would buy it again

I had high expectations for these. I bought 2 for our two kids. They can't use them at the same time in the house, it is a small house, due to being on the same frequency. They can use them outside at the same time IF they are 50 plus feet apart. They won't work on the plowed driveway. I'm really disappointed in these things. We tried using them on our dirt barn floor that has some straw on it....useless.

Makes a great present! Great quality for the price you pay. My 4-year-old son loves to take it outside to drive on the grass and I am sure it'll be much fun to swatch it floating in the pool during the summer. This product has everything to get any boy from 1 to 100 excited as it has wheels and a remote control with buttons!

He loves playing with it!!! The controls to make the vehicle drive straight is a little challenging but he is having fun with it just the same. He just turned 4 and with time may figure out the remote. I think his dad likes playing with the land shark just as much!!

perfect first remote control car

My 3 yr old nephew LOVED this for Christmas. I don't think any of us realized it until we reviewed the recording from my parents taken at Christmas... and all we can hear is this car running over and over and over through the audio. We didn't use it outside or in water.

We have a 2 1/2 year old and a 9 year old. They love them. They have to be put up to get them to leave them alone. They are good for small children, not alot of small pieces to break and they hold up to being bounced around.

It is very durable and can withstand many crashes!

Our household has been through lots of remote controlled cars. This one is holding up and holding interest. We bought the land shark and the frog. Both of my boys enjoy it (ages 4, 8) It is simple enough that my nephew (age 2) loves playing with it too. We are not brave enough to let them try it near the pool. It does great in puddles though!

I bought 2 for my twins' 5th birthday. Both kids and adults loving them. Have not had them Long, or in water yet, so can't tell longevity. However they appear to be well made. Undercut rating simply because have only had them a week.

I bought two different Morphibian cars. The Land Shark quit working after about 2 hours, but I called KidGalaxy and they replaced it immediately. The other Morphibian has been running nicely. They really do move well whether on ground or in a puddle of water. The twins love them.

The toy keeps my grandson's attention for hours. It is well made and and withstand knocks and hits into objects. His older brother sneeks playing with it at times. It is well-made and of good quality material. I highly recommend Morphiban- Land Shark. He also likes putting it in the tub.

I read that the Morphibian Land Shark was one of the best toys of 2011, searched the internet for it and found it on Fat Brain Toys. I gave it to my almost 3 year old grandson. He loves it. It is a remote controlled vehicle simplified for a 3 year old. It is used frequently (this kid has a LOT of toys). It is also pretty durable as he likes to have it jump off the couch onto the floor and it has not yet broken.

We ordered two of these. Out of the box, my son's didn't turn to the right. The other one worked correctly. My daughter played with it a few times. She is 6 and had a little trouble understanding the controls, but now seems to get the hang of it a bit. Time will tell whether they continue to play with it.

If your Land Shark doesn't know Right-off how to maneuver to the Right - Right away call us. You won't be Left wondering why the fun of turning Left, Left. We shipped a replacement for the defective RC Morphibian Right away and Left it at that. Left turn? Right on!

This toy goes everywhere!! It was purchased for a 2 and 4 yr. old along with other items from Fat Brain. This was by far the biggest hit!!! We have a pond in our backyard and to get there you have to traverse an acre of grass, rock, sand, bushes, etc. and the "Land Shark" did it all without a hitch!!! I only wish I had bought two!!! It really does go EVERYWHERE!! Cleans off with a hose so it can go in the house when done outside.

I bought a land shark for my nephew's birthday this summer. It quickly became the favorite toy of the neighborhood. So much so, that my sister asked me to get another land shark for Christmas. She said the kids fight over the one, so two would make things easier.

Very easy for 3 year old to maneuver and seems sturdy but have only had it for a few day. Curious to see how it performs in water. It went on grass and mulch with no problem and my little guy even sent it cruising/tumbling down the park slide and it survived!

I gave this gift to our 3 year old grandson for Christmas. He had a little trouble with figuring out how to use the remote. I believe with time he will have no trouble. FYI: The big guys couldn't leave it alone it would go over carpet etc with no trouble. Fun & cool little car.

I bought this for my 3 year old grandson's birthday. He absolutely loves it! He plays with it constantly and has been having fun running it through the leaves. Highly recommend!!

This product did not work. Lights on the controller and headlights on buggy work fine, but does not drive. I have learned my lesson... test all electronic products before giving as a gift.

I bought this for a 4 year old child of a friend and he absolutely adores it. Very durable and goes anywhere and most importantly its easy for him to use. The controls were just right for his hands and he had no trouble picking up how to them. I would highly recommend this product.

I just purchased this item for my 3-year old son for Christmas. All he wants for Christmas is a remote control car. He hasn't had a chance to unwrap and play with it yet, but based on the reviews I've read for this product, I know he's going to love it! I love the fact that it can be driven through grass, dirt and even water! It looks durable and perfect for a toddler's first remote control car.

we have not played with this yet, it is a Christmas present, but I am sure it will endure a five year boy and his little brother playing with it inside and out!

This is going to a young boy. He hasn't gotten it yet, but I know he'll love it. It runs well and looks very durable.
