My rating of bilibo

Rating: 5

I purchased a bilibo for each of my 2 grandchildren last spring. They enjoyed them through the summer, using them outside to haul dirt, build tunnels and garages for "heavy" equipment and frogs and to sit on while playing in the garden. Indoors they were fun to spin in on our hardwood floors. And great to stand on when a little extra height was needed to reach something. Now that winter is here, we are trying them out on the slope near grammy's house. They are a little scuffed, but still have years of use left in them! Great purchase.

Great Developmental Toy/tool.

I have two boys ages 3 and 5 years so I purchased two bilbos. My younger son is developmentally delayed and so far I think the bilbo is a terrific toy/tool. He loves to spin it around, put it on his head, sit in it and rock all around. It's a great core strengthening tool. My five year sits in it to read and stands on top for balance. So far I love our bilbos.

I love the bilibo...my son has two of them, and they are wonderful. We have all heard the standby "the kid liked the box better than the present" and bilibo is just that...the box. It can be anything the child wants. I love the imagination building that happens every time my son plays with this toy!

Review of bilibo

Rating: 5

I bought this a little prematurely, my daughter is just turning one and it is recommended for 2 years and up. She was fascinated by the little holes though and was poking her finger through and watching her finger come out the other side! The picture with the child model makes it look like a seat, but it is much more than that...I can tell that it takes balance to sit in it upright. I love that this is an open ended toy...there is no one purpose for it; I can see us keeping and using this for many years!

This product is all that I expected and more! I am amazed at the multitude of ways the children in my preschool class find to make use of this material each day. It is a great large motor activity to have available in the classroom, and every child has utilized the bilibo in the week that we've had it, each in unique and fascinating ways. It is the sort of open-ended material that work best in early learning environments.

Love This Product

This is the coolest thing! My husband thought I was crazy when I explained it to him, before it arrived and then after as well. However, it is honestly one of the most played with toys my son recieved. He is on the autism spectrum. While he is 6 years old (close to the end of the age range of this product), I do not see him putting it away anytime soon. It is used as a bucket. He also uses it as a monster truck. He can turn it into a tunnel for everything. Sometimes he just sits in it while playing. We are very pleased. It is more than just a "bowl" as my family implied!

I bought this for my girls ages 1 and 5. They love it! I got it out and sat it on the floor. Right away they were spinning it, putting things in it, climbing in it and on it. They love it! They are both very imaginative and I love that there is no "right" way to play with this toy. It is virtually indestructible, so they aren't going to break it or crack it. This toy is much like a cardboard box, but lasts much, much longer and has even more possibilities. We can't wait to play with them outside in the snow!

The bilibo was a perfect large motor development toy for our grand daughter who will be one in May. She will enjoy this toy for years to come. Right now she sits on top of it like she is riding a turtle. Putting her stuffed animals in the seat and turning them around gets a huge laugh out loud from all of us.

The bilibo is made from REALLY durable plastic - stronger than I would have thought. I actually tried it out - took it for a spin, if you will - in my kitchen and it didn't even bend (this, from a 120 lb. woman). I haven't actually given it to the child who's birthday I bought it for, but I can't wait to see her face. I can tell that I'll need to be adding more of these to her toy library in the years to come. My discounting of one star is for the $30 price tag for a hunk of plastic - but it's a well designed hunk of plastic - so I'll take two!

I bought these for my son's second birthday. He has used them in the water and spins them on the ground, sometimes stands on them or sits in them ... but his attention toward them is greatly limited, more so than any of his other toys. I don't know if it is his age? Maybe he will find more things to do with them as he matures. I had hoped he they would engage him more than they do right now. It is almost time for some snow so we are looking forward to trying them out on the hill as a sled, perhaps they will be a hit then?

Disappointed

I had a plastic seat when I was a kid and my mom still has it - I'm 42! All the kids sit in it and spin. When I saw the Bilibo I thought it was similar and was quite excited, plus it had all those great reviews. I think it stinks. Neither of my children played with it for more than 30 seconds. It doesn't function the way I expected but regardless of that - the kids don't find it interesting or fun. Funny to note - there are pictures of kids "under" the Bilibo, yesterday my kids played under the dog bed, which they have never done before - so i'm thinking - who needs the Bilibo. We are planning on returning both Bilibos we purchased.
If you feel Bilibo stinks or it is one-upped by a dog bed, you may be a good candidate for our easy returns. We underscore the fact that we care about your satisfaction with every purchase. Please visit the Returns & Exchanges center for details.

Fun for the whole family
Posted 3/22/2010 by Ashley Cornelius
Rating: 5

I bought this item for my son who just turned two. He has played with it some, mostly putting his cars in it and wobbling it back and forth so they can roll in it. However, I didn't realize how much fun the rest of my family could have with it. My 7-year-old nephew loves to play with it, sit in it, etc. My 12-year-old nephew likes to put plastic balls in it and spin it really fast to have the balls fly out. My 30-year-old husband likes to use it as a helmet, put it behind his head (he says it amplifies sound), and use it as a ramp for motorized cars. My son also got two mini-bilibos (red/yellow) and he uses them in the sandbox. He likes to put sand it in and have it pour out of the two holes into the other bilibo. After a few hours of play in the sandbox, the bilibos lost their shine. And after spinning the big one on carpet, the bottom has lost its shine. It hasn't stopped anyone from playing with them, though. Overall, the whole family has had a great time with all of the bilibos! And the 7-year-old requested one for his birthday!

I would love to review this for you in a month as well. I work in a school for special needs children and ordered the bilibo for the 1st grade classroom. Specifically for one child who seeks vestibular movement and loves to spin! Some of the difficulty we are having is that with poor motor planning skills and decreased balance skills it has been difficult for this particular child to access. However, it has only been in the classroom for one week and each day he is able to use it a bit more. Yesterday he did about 10 seconds of spinning in it. (we are looking for minutes of spinning to meet his needs.) I have high hopes for this as he is gradually getting the hang of it. My prediction is that in a month, he will be using it frequently throughout his day and enjoying himself tremendously!

My son is 18 months old and has not yet engaged play in the Bilibo. He looks at it and bangs on it like a drum, but was a little apprehensive when we put him in it to spin. Ironically, he loves a sit and spin. This is just a different approach to spinning I guess. I'm not concerned though. I'm sure in a few months he will love the Bilibo. Just a note, my oldest son, 17 years, and his friends have enjoyed trying to fit in the Bilibo and spinning.

I have 5 kids, 12 down to 1. All 5 want to sit in the Bilibo and spin. I don't know why it is such a kid magnet but they all love the simple fun of spinning and balancing in it. I bought it for the baby who has Down syndrome, she giggles and loves being gently spun in it. I think we will get a lot of use out of it. It is a simple but sturdy toy that can also be a doll bed (my 4 y.o.), a toy basket, a helmet with eye holes (my 9 y.o. son) and a stool/seat. Love it!

I run a home daycare and have two of my own children ages 6 and 8. I purchased this toy to keep the children active in the winter months and also to spark their imagination. It has done both. They use the toy to sit and rock, spin, and stand on. They have used it for dolls, to carry things in and they have made up games involving it. It is an awesome toy and I plan on purchasing more. I think with more than one, they will come up with even more wonderful ideas.

I'm a pediatric physical therapist, and I purchased this toy to use with my Early Intervention kids. What a wonderful, multifunctional toy! The kids are easily drawn to its bright color and unique shape. It has become a basketball hoop, a chair, a stepping stone in an obstacle course, a rocker, a turtle shell, a helmet, a drum and a spinning ride! I can use it with every child, and it is easy to clean between visits. The gross motor and sensory benefits are terrific. I'm going to recommend we purchase several for use in the clinic. Worth every penny!

Good Fun!
Posted 4/27/2010 by Susan Han
Rating: 4

We bought this after playing with it at a friend's house. It is very fun and versatile, and looks like an upside-down helmet that kids can sit and spin in. My 6 year old had a lot of fun taking turns to spin in it with his friends, and my 2 year old seems to enjoy it as well. My only caution is that if a child is on the smaller side, it would be easy to tip and fall over. In other words, it may be hard to catch one's balance if one's arms and legs are not long enough. I would definitely say that if you can use the Bilibo on the carpet, with lots of clear space around, this will be a fun toy. It is definitely washable and would make a good outdoor toy as well.

I was excited to get this toy as it appeared to be so different. The toy was for my daughter who is 3 years 4 months old. I have to tell you it has been a total bust. I wanted my daughter to have time to play with it and I wanted my neices and nephews to try it out too. The children range in age 2, 4, 6 and 7. Not one of them wanted to play with it. Even the prospect of spinning in it did not appeal to them. So far it has been sitting in a corner - unused. In time it may be used as a container but even that has not happened! Oh well - you live and learn!

I purchased a Bilibo for my Grandaughter for her 2nd birthday and it was an immediate hit. She uses the Bilibo as a seat for watching TV. She has also found other uses such as pulling her other toys around like it was a sled, turning it over also makes it rock which she also enjoys outside as well as inside. The fun is watching her use her imagination to come up with different ways to enjoy her Bilibo.

Bilibo - Yellow

Rating: 4

Our sixteen month old daughter is perhaps a bit young to truly enjoy this toy to its full extent. However, we do believe that she will grow to like it more. At her present age, our daughter mostly appreciates playing with the Bilibo in a more social way. For example - we go for spins together, we play "Hats" and "Peek-a-boo" with the Bilibo on our heads. We spin the empty Bilibo on our hardwood floor and she will throw different balls into it. This makes our daughter laugh, to see the balls spin around and sometimes pop out. Our daughter loves to stand on the Bilibo and slide down into a sitting position. Overall, I would say that we are all ready getting great value from this toy.

We received the bilibo in the mail and the kids went to town using their imaginations. They pulled it out of the box asking what it is and I told them to figure it out. They spun in circles, used it as a baby bed, highchair, bucket, stepping stones, stepstools, and potties for their babies, lol. I bought 3 for my daycare and have ages from 2-5, they all love them. Yesterday they took them outside and used them to make a snowman. I am very happy with my purchase, not to mention the incredibly fast delivery from Fat Brains.

My 4 year old niece visited for a weekend and barely got out of our Bilibo! Lucky for me, her birthday was just a few days later and I quickly ordered her one of her very own! She spins in it, carries her toys, stands on it and jumps off and just can't get enough of the fun! I had so much fun watching her giggle while she played. It's a great gift and fun for all ages! (Even my husband "tried" it to see what all the fun was about! :) ). It also travels well. I also ordered two more for 2 year old twins and from what I understand, they love them too! I'm planning to order a few at Christmas for the large motor room at our daycare.

Definitely a great purchase and I'll undoubtedly give it as a gift to other kids I know.

After you have been a grandparent for awhile, you become numb trying to find fun, stimulating toys that don't make obnoxious sounds, aren't made of cheap plastic, and deserve a place in your grandchildren's playroom. I was so excited for their responses and to watch their little minds devise new activities!

Rating: 4

It is very good, pleasing quality material, my baby knew right away that she should sit in it. Only thing, that she didn't expect, that she would tip over on her back. It scared her and I think she is kind of afraid to play with it so much. She still plays with it in many different ways, she puts some blocks into it and carries it around, she gets into it and carefully turns around. She is 2 years old. Also the bottom of Bilibo is getting scratched. I cannot give the highest rating, sorry.

I like that the bilibo does not limit or direct the action of the child. The child imagines and tests out a multiple of possible ways to play with it.

Good Potential

The design is great. I love "open-ended" toys that promote creativity. My 3 year old has had hers for 1 week now and it has already been used as a "sit-n-spin", a basket for toys, a cave for her dinosaurs, a helmet, a step stool, a swing for her bear, etc. You get the picture! My 7 month old also finds it fascinating. I can see potential for this toy being used in many different ways over the coming years. The reason I gave it only four stars is because it's a bit bulky for storage and it's plastic so the static in the dry weather causes it to pick up all the debris off what I thought were my clean floors. But my daughter seems truly pleased with it and that's all that matters.

I bought the Bilibo for my two older grandsons (ages 4 and 2) to use at my house during a recent visit. I was disappointed by their lack of interest in it. They both sat in it but couldn't get it to do anything but tip over. It ended up serving as a toy box. In all fairness, there were other interesting things to do, and if their visit had been longer they eventually might have investigated the Bilibo more.

My kids are apparently bigger than the girl in the picture. They just barely fit in it, so it's hard to spin and keep any balance. Not sure what else to do with it or why we paid as much as we did. Not too impressed.

We got the Bilibo to help our granddaughter with her balance and sense of rolling and rocking motion. She won't get on a swing, but did sit in this and is enjoying it. She spins herself around in a circle using her feet and rocks from side to side. She also puts in on top of her and likes to have stories read to her in the Bilibo. Hoping it gives her the confidence to move to a swing and enjoy that experience.

The first problem I had with this toy is getting it out of Bompah's hands to wrap it!!!! So. . .I can say that "boys" of all ages find this toy intriguing. The second problem I had with this toy is trying to get the two grandsons (who each received their own Bilibo) to play with it separately. They really enjoyed working together on their ideas for play. And the third problem I had with this toy is getting the boys' father to let them play and not take the Bilibos away. So, as you can see, this is a very troublesome toy. . .a problem that every family should have!

my 2yo son plays with it once in awhile - it is used mostly as a storage bin. he will probably play with it more when he is older and stops falling out of it. my 3yo niece has a lot more fun with hers. but overall, i thought my kids would enjoy it the same as i watched in the promo video, so i was a little bit disappointed they haven't gotten "more" out of the toy.

Product review of bilibo

I wasn't sure what the big deal was when I ordered this toy for my two-year-old son. But, he loves it. I sat in it and did a little spin and he said, "Daddy, daddy, I want a turn!" And the look on his face as he teetered in it and did a little spinning was pretty priceless. He loves to put his other toys in it and basically use it as intended; which is to say, for any old purpose he sees fit. Although entirely plastic, the product is well made and well designed. The shape is organic and appealing to the eyes and hands. There are no rough edges or "burrs" of excess plastic, and the fact that it could hold my weight (190 lbs) while I showed my boy how to spin in it is also impressive. It does create static electricity on the rug in the house and it therefore acts as a conductor of dog hair, but oh well, I guess that's just the price one pays for fun. The packaging does warn to only use it on a clear area that is flat and that should be strongly reiterated. It is easy for little people to tumble out of it while they are learning how to balance, and I would recommend keeping a watchful eye on play at least until your kid gets the hang of it. I like this so much I think I'm going to order another one and a set of the mini ones for the bath.

I am a pediatric physical therapist and bought it to use with my clients. I've only had a couple of kids try it and it was too hard because they were lacking enough trunk control. I'm not sure but maybe if it had handles it would be a little easier to use for the physically challenged. I plan to continue using it but it's really too early to give you a adequate review.

Perhaps my son is young for this toy? The toy arrived over a week ago and still, he isn't the least bit interested in playing with it. Heck, I even played with it myself, but he couldn't have cared less. I am hopeful that we'll get some use out of it in the future, but who knows. Interestingly, I never would have purchased the toy if I hadn't read the rave reviews-- Bilbo just didn't look like something my son would go for. I guess my instinct was correct.

All of my nephews (ages 3, 6 and 8) loved this thing. I found them all scooting along the floor in it, refusing to get up and walk. They tried it on the snow in the huge recent NYC snowfall - that was not so successful as there is such a small amount of surface that makes contact with the ground. Mask, turtle shell, helmet, shield...no doubt it will also become a container of other playful things. This is such a great simple toy. Great assortment of colors, too.

My husband and I bought this product for our 4 year old daughter. At first, she wanted us to tell her what to do with it. However, it wasn't long before her imagination took over. It is so fun to watch her come up with different ways to play with the Bilibo. Anything from spinning in it to using it as a stage when she has something "important" to say. She has only had it a week, but it has already made it's way to the top of her toy list!

I gave this toy to each of my kids and my 2 nephews. I was concerned that it might be a flop, but my 3 year old immediately turned it over and started spinning in it! Then my 1 year old did the same thing (with my help) and they laughed for an hour. Now they have played with them every day and have found alternate things to do with it. I love Bilibo - no lights, no batteries, and they are bigger then I expected because I think the kids in the pictures must be older than my 3 year old. I would imagine that an even older kids would find even more things to do with it. Bilibos also seem to be very strong. Highly recommended.

Posted 8/2/2007
Rating: 2

We purchased these for our twins when they were almost 2 years old and they showed no interest in the Bilibo's at that time. They are now 2 1/2 yrs old and they are still sitting in a corner, while they prefer to play with their Lego's and Wedgits. Our older kids find the Bilibo's fun to spin in, but they are too big to sit in them properly. With that in mind, I hope that our twins will enjoy playing with the Bilibo's when they get a bit older. Until then, I have decided to store them.

I could not see the appeal in this product but countless good reviews led to my purchase of two of them for my grandsons (11 and 6) and, like the others have said - they don't put it down! The 11 year old is a bit large for it but, he squeezes into it anyway. Their favorite new "activity" is twirling their cats in it. The cats also seem to love it! A multi-use toy for sure.

My daughter is still trying to determine what exactly you're supposed to do. Trying to convince her that -anything goes- is more of a challenge than I had anticipated, the whole scenario has provided great insight into how much modern toys have taken the free thinking and imagination out of many toys. Often used as a balance toy I find she is apt to fall out of or off of the toy. At this age (2) I encourage her to use on the carpet.

The moment they removed it from the box their imagination was unlimited with ways to play with it. I really wondered if my grandson would wonder what it was, but he saw all kinds of ways to play with it.

At first they didn't know what to do with them, but now they are spinning around in them and scooting around the house in them!! I think it will be a great toy to play outside (in the grass) with. Overall great purchase.

This toy is great. My husband and I take toys pretty seriouly in our house. We try not to let our kids (ages 2.5 and 4.5) have things that have 1 specific purpose with lights and sounds and such. I love toys that can be used by a wide age range and that will stimulate the imagination. The Bilibo is perfect! It's exactly what we wanted! Our daughters have very big imaginaitons and this toy fits right in with the way they play, no matter what or how they're playing. It's good for active play or quiet play and everything in between. We are very satisfied!

I purchased this toy based on a recommendation from a good friend. I bought one for my four year-old daughter and another for my two year-old daughter. This toy is fantastic! They won't put them down. They load our dolls into them and play taxi. They wear them as helmets and go exploring. The sit in them and bobble around while watching cartoons. The simplistic nature of this toy is its genius. If you want a high quality toy that gets your child to use their imagination, this is it.

Our two year old granddaughter loves this toy. I bought one for her to use at our house and am gifting her one for Christmas because she loves it so much. We must have gotten our Bilbo at just the right moment in her development. We do not yet have snow, but I can imagine it being used as a sled, too. Currently, she enjoys using it as a rocking chair and likes for us to pull her around on the carpet in it. She also likes to put things in it and uses it as a bed for her dolls. It is a very creative toy and I can imagine that as her imagination grows, she will pretend that she is a turtle or use it as a helmet. It is really precious! I highly recommend it.

I bought the Bilibo for my son who is still two months shy of 2 years old. So far he hasn't yet paid it much attention and the one time he did try to climb into it, he overbalanced and didn't want to go near it for a while. It has proved fun to hide things under and play "Where's the ???" but that's obviously been a game initiated by mom. I have high hopes for this toy when he's a little older and I may just get him some of the little Bilibos in the mean time.

I bought this item for my 2 year old niece. From the moment she saw it she fell in love with it. The wonderful thing about this toy is that it allows kids to use their imagination. Thus far, she has used it to sit and spin herself in it (which sounds dangerous but is not because the toy is not completely round so it creates balance), she also stands on it, uses it as a chair and a hat, she stores things in it, and spins her stuffed animals in it. As you can see, she has found multiple uses for this great toy. It really was a great purchase.

This is a great product. It's very sturdy and useful. If the kids aren't playing with it, it can be used for "random" little toy bucket for quick cleanup. They have done everything with this toy from sitting on it, sitting in it, putting blocks in it and dumping them out, tying a string to it and pulling it around with their trains in it etc. I thought it would be a love it or leave it toy but we have to get another one b/c our 2 year old and 3.5 year old have disputes over who gets to use it/sit in it/etc.

We figured we would get a Bilibo for our 1 and 3 year olds and try it. I think we'll get a second soon. Our 1 year old son likes to be rocked in it and our 3 year old girl uses it as a helmet, a big belly, stepping stone, chair, baby crib. etc. Sometimes we give her ideas about ways to use it, but she comes up with her own as well. I think it's something they can grow with as well. It's fun to have a basic (and quiet) toy and watch the kids use their imagination with it.

Unbelievable the quality of this product is real. Purchased for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and she loves it. Her creativity was amazing, her immediate curiosity was to ask questions, she played the entire day on and off and continues to use it in so many ways. She uses it to read, as her podium, her princess castle, with her babies, turtle, in the bath, in the lake absolutely wonderful product. I actually have been looking at this since Christmas and finally purchased it in July, I can honestly say that it is one of the best purchases we have made and will purchase another. Also have the mini's they are great.

I recently purchased 4 bilibos for my children-ages 5, 4, 2 and 2. It is rare to find a toy that all ages can enjoy, but the bilibo is just that! Some of the uses we've discovered are doll cradle, stepping "stones", turtle shell, car tunnel, cat bed, and the kids just keep finding new uses each day. My 5-year old and 4-year old love to spin inside the bilibo and can get going very fast. My 2-year olds don't have the balance to be able to spin on their own but they enjoy it when I slowly spin them around. A great feature is that the bilibos stack neatly into each other so they don't take up much space. Everyone who sees them asks where we bought them and are intrigued by this strange new toy. We bought this for my 1 year old but my 3 year old loves it just as much! We really should buy another one so they don't argue over it! The are so creative with it. They use it as a chair, as a hat, as a bed for their toy animals, as a tunnel for their trucks, as a floating devise for the pool and so on. The possibilities are endless! They discover something new to do with it every day! I am very happy (and so are my sons) with this product! Every child 1-6 years old needs one of these!

Awesome Toy

I work with preschoolers who have special needs and found this toy to be an instant hit. The kids had to ask for help to learn how to spin but if they kept trying they were able to do it on their own. Very rewarding. I got tons of eye contact by putting it on my head or their head! I learned about the toy at the end of the school year, so my students did not have long to explore with it. I am looking forward to how it will motivate my students next year.

I wasn't sure what my 5 year old son would think of this toy. At first he pondered it. Before I knew it, he was sitting in it and pretending it was an airplane. He also has used it as a tunnel for cars, as a hat, and a mountain to stand on. I'm happy with the product. I was looking for a toy that would spark imaginative play. This was perfect. Sometimes you just have to show kids that the best toy is their imaginations!

I bought this toy for my daughter (7 years old) and my very physical 17 month old. It is not only pleasing to look at, but a huge hit with both of my children. They sit in it, spin in it, put it on their head, stand on it, the possibilities are endless... Who knew such a simplistic design could be so much fun! The only problem is she wants a few more. I know that I will order another so they can have one of their own. Highest rating. A refreshing toy.

I ordered one of these for each of my two grandchildren, ages 2 and 4. They were at my house on the day the Bilibos arrived. We tore into the box. Instead of having to drag them away from wanting to play in the box, they immediately started playing with the Bilibos. Hats, chairs, boats, you name it and they pretended that the Bilibos were it. Then I tied a rope through the holes and took turns pulling them around my house until I was panting! What fun we had. A wonderful way to stimulate their imaginations!

My 4 year old has a sensory processing disorder. The movement that this toy provides simulates that of swinging on a tire hanging from a tree. This helps in some sensory perception issues that my son experiences. He has only had this for about a week, but so far he loves it. He loves to sit and spin around in it, which is exactly the reason I bought it. All the other benefits of this toy are just a bonus. My 3 year old loves it, too. They sit and spin and wobble together!

Our son is enjoying the Bilibo both indoors & out. It is a wonderful toy. However the product did not look 100% new. It came with scuffs and scratches on the innerside surface and out. It almost looked like a "floor model". With that aside, we are pleased with how our son took to the product.
Hmm... We are stumped on this one. Products sold by Fat Brain Toys are new products. We contacted our customer to offer a refund or replacement for the scratched product. We expect customers to be 100% satisfied with the products we sell, please visit our Customer Service page for details.

Creative play which engages them and stretches their imagination. And, added bonus, when they are each fighting for their space on the couch, I plop each of them in their bilibo on top of the couch and presto! No more "Hey you're on MY SIDE!!!!" The pink one was given to my 2 yr old niece (with brothers, ages 4, 6 & 8). They did not show the slightest interest in it, maybe because of the color. My niece did not really seem to want to play with it; however, I could not keep my 2.5 yr old daughter away from it! She put her dolls in it - dragged them all over the house in it - rocked them (she has an actual baby cradle, but chose to put her babies in the Bilibo!) and she kept trying to sit in it. She is delighted with her yellow Bilibo. She is sitting in it, and giving spin rides to all her dollies and animals. When I put it on my head, it scares her a bit, but she is still very small.

My granddaughter at first said, "What is this?" I told her it's a toy to use in any way she'd like. She started by standing in it and rocking back and forth. Next she sat in it and rocked. After a while she turned it over and stood on it with one leg in a bent leg position like a heron. After I noticed it with her other gifts in it. And still later she sat in it reading her book. She's 7 but her 2 year old brother and 5 year old sister were just as inventive with their Bilibos. We did supervise the 2 year old. A great toy, just as I had read it would be.

I was a little nervous about how my three year old niece would receive the Bilibo since there are no instructions for its use. At first glance, she thought it a bit odd, but after a fifteen minute period she sat in it and began to drag it around. Soon enough her five year old brother wanted in on the action. He too sat inside and wanted to take a spin. He played with the Bilibo until his sister insisted on getting her yellow thing back. It later became a feed bucket for grandpa as he pretended to be a horse. Personally, I like to throw things into to watch them fly out.

The Bilibo is great fun for kids in the Pre-K set. Since there is no predetermined use for it, the children can make up their own uses. There were a few at my son's Pre-K that took a beating, but were still fine by the end of the year.

I was surprised to see that my three grandchildren (aged 5, 3, & 2) weren't really enthralled with their Bilibos. I got them each one, and showed them the booklet that came with them, to give them some ideas of how it's used. I sat the children in them and twirled them, but they were not impressed. Maybe over time they will be drawn into playing with them. I liked the idea of them, but perhaps these children prefer something that lights up and/or plays music, as so many toys today do!
We recommend giving children the Bilibo without the instruction booklet and then sitting back to watch. The joy of discovery is what makes Bilibo a unique toy. Children tend to decide for themselves what to do with Bilibo. Though, if your child does not respond with 100% enthusiasm, you can be certain of our 100% guarantee. Fabulous

I ordered the Bilibo for my 18 month old for Christmas. Needless to say, it stayed wrapped only about a day before my curiosity of how he would use it got the better of me. I have been looking for a toy that would pry my son away from a book for a few moments in order to use and further develop some of his gross motor skills. This product is it. He walked up to it with his head cocked to one side and a grin slowly started across his face. He immediately sat in it and tipped back and forth while chanting "mocking, mocking" (rocking). He then stood up, picked it up and moved it to a different location in the room and when he dropped it it was upside-down, if you will. Again he sat on it for a moment and then got up again. It went on to become a basket, an over-sized helmet (a la "Space Balls") a gift to others in the room and finally an objet d'amour. It now joins the ranks with the mongoose puppet and his Beatrix Potter books. This is a fabulous product that sparks imagination beyond anything an adult could fathom.

Creative and Imaginative Toy

I bought this bilibo for my 18 month old. I was unsure whether or not it would capture his attention beyond the initial WOW! He has played with it multiple times, and each time he comes up with something new. First it was a chair, then a hat, then a bucket for his toys. In a world with many toys that seem to lose their draw almost immediately, I absolutely relish this toy and its endless possibility for creative and imaginative play!

My two year old used a bilibo at her Kindermusik class and she absolutely loved it. All the kids loved them, so I had to buy one. Actually, I bought two! The bilibo is a simple, sturdy toy that allows imagination to flow. It's neat to watch all the ways the children play with bilibos, from putting them on their heads and peeking through the holes, to balancing and rocking their baby dolls to sleep in them. The bilibo is one of the best out there! Even my ten year old joins in the fun!

I bought two of these for our daughter's birthday party. It was a blast - several parents asked me what they are and where to buy them. That's because their kids couldn't stop playing with them. They enjoyed spinning and rolling in them, and even napping in them! I ended up giving them out as game prizes. That's why I need to buy two new ones for my daughter. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Bilibo, it really inspires creative ways of playing. It is much better than many typical toys that are designed to do one thing and one thing only.

Multi-Functional Toy
Posted 4/4/2007 by Chris M.
Rating: 5

We bought this toy for our 10 month old son. We decided to buy it now, even though it is rated for slightly older kids. Right now we carefully rock and slowly spin our son in this - which results in laughs and smiles on his part. He has also discovered that if he throws balls into the Bilibo they roll around and make lots of noise - also a winner with him. And, if we flip it, we can hide toys under it which he then tries to extract in various ways. We also had our niece and nephew play with it. Our niece is seven. She is on the tall side and had problems sitting and spinning in it. Our nephew, who is five, could sit and spin in it, although he too was getting a bit tall for doing that. He enjoyed putting his toy soldiers under it and on it. Overall, I think this will be a toy that our son will get a lot of use out of and will grow into over the years.

This is a pretty good product. My 3 year old daughter is a little big for us to spin her in it. Our 1 year old is a tad big to spin, too. I would recommend maybe a 6-9 month old if you are wanting to put the child in and slowly spin her/him around in it. My children like to put toys in and spin it. My 3 year old likes to stand on it (hump side up) and jump off of it. We think it has enabled her to develop a better sense of balance. While it's not the favorite toy in our house, it's a fun addition to our TV room. We pull it out every so often and they play with it again.

I really like the idea of this toy, though my girls haven't yet taken to it as much as I'd hoped. The 1 year old is too little to manuever it. The 3 yr old enjoys using it as a hat, shell, or house, but hasn't really figured out how to spin in it. If a kid leans backward while sitting/spinning in this toy, they could fall back and possibly hit their head. My 3 yr old can't remember not to do that. A child who is a bit more coordinated or physically precocious than mine might find it lots of fun.

Great Toy for all Kinds of Play!
Posted 1/3/2007 by Lindsay Young
Rating: 4

We bought this for our daughter, and even though she's not quite 2 years old, she loves it. She uses it to throw toys and dolls in, to sit in it and read, have us spin her, and - her favorite - use it as a big hat. I only bought one because I wanted to see how she reacted to it, so we'll be buying more in the future. The only downside is that the plastic tends to get scratched on our wood floors, so it's going to get more than normal wear-and-tear on it than if it was used mostly in a carpeted family room. (But what kids' toys don't get worn after years of use?) This is a fabulous product that's so beautifully designed, we love to have it out all the time!

I think the parents of the children I gave them to were confused by its lack of specific function. I personally think the toy is great and hope you continue to offer such items.

Held Its Own In A Sea Of Presents
Posted 12/28/2006 by A. Blakey
Rating: 5

The Bilibo held its own in the overwhelming sea of presents. It has been a hit with our daughters (ages 3-1/2 and 1-1/2). They've had them for less than a week and are only just beginning to scratch the surface of what they can do with them. So far, their favorite activity is to sit in the Bilibos and have their dad spin them. But they've worn them as helmets, for peek-a-boo, as a "rock" to stand on and jump off of, and as a seat for stuffed animals and dolls. The Bilibo also sparked a great deal of creativity and laughter from the adults who examined the gift on Christmas Eve ("Luke, I am your father.") I would highly recommend the Bilibo to anyone looking for a good gift for children. It's so simple that's it's absolutely wonderful! It really encourages imagination. I can see this as a gift that will be with us and used for many years to come.

Excellent for stimulating ideas and games. The child we bought this for was immediately a jack-in-the-box, then a turtle and then spinning happily around in the Bilibo. A toy that stimulates the brain and includes physical activity. Perfect.

Great, creative toy. We bought one chair for a toddler and one for a pre-schooler. Both age groups have found new ways to play. Although it is unconventional, they are fun to spin and carry things like a bucket. Highly recommended.

Great Toy for Creative Play!
Posted 11/16/2006
Rating: 5

These toys are great! I ordered 2 for my daughter, and then told her preschool teachers about them. They ordered 5 for the class. They brought them out on a rainy day, and were an instant success. The kids thought up about 20 uses for them on the first day, and are still coming up with new ones. I love Bilibo's open-ended nature which encourages creative play. The kids rock in them, spin in them, drum with them, carry babies and toys in them, hide beneath them, jump off them, and generally just carry them around and love them. They were immediately attractive to this group of 2-3 yr olds. They're made of great quality, hard plastic. They're so sturdy I can even stand on them myself!

I think my son might be too young for the Bilibo (17 months). He looked at it, but didn't enjoy sitting in it or spinning in it, or using it for much of anything yet. I'm hoping that this will change as he matures, because it seems like a neat open-ended toy.

OK, Everyone loves this thing! My daughter uses it all the time. She loves to scoot around, spin, sit in or on the bilibo. Then comes the other games - she rocks her baby, carries things, plays with our cat by pulling things under it... It is such a simple design that it is really up to our child to deside what to do with it! My daughter loves it!

Hoorah for Open-Ended Toys!

Bilibo was a great 2nd birthday gift for my little girl. It has inspired lots of giggles, active play, and imagination. The only problem we've had with it is my preschooler's tendency to hog it for herself when we aren't watching. Good thing her birthday is coming up, too. I have a hunch that these will come in very handy as energy burners while we're cooped up through the long winter his year. It's funny how the simplest toys can be the most entertaining.

Fun Toy Even for 16 Month Old
Posted 9/29/2006
Rating: 4

We got this for our daughter because we thought it was a very cool idea to have a toy which is not meant to be anything in particular. She is only 16 months old (I believe the suggested start age is 2) but she already enjoys it. She likes to lean on it, turn it over, and play with water that we've put inside of it. She also likes to step inside of it which is a little dangerous without supervision since she will immediately fall down. I didn't give it the highest rating only because I can't say for sure what her experience with it will be when she's older. But I definitely recommend it.

This toy looks great on the website & all the reviews that I'd read about it were fantastic, so I took the plunge and ordered it for my almost two-year old. He was initially very curious about the new object, but he hasn't really taken to it. It just sits in the corner for now gathering dust. I think perhaps that it would work better for an older child or for a child with siblings. I am also concerned that he may use it as a step stool in the future (something I did not think about prior to my purchase of the Bilibo). Overall, a good design and well executed, but like everything else, it just depends on the individual child.

Mask, Turtle Shell

Rating: 5

It is indeed multi-functional; the thing is, only kids know all the functions. When we unpacked it, my wife said, "What?" but after a couple of days as a a chair, a mask and turtle shell, she came to understand that this toy is merely a vehicle for a child's imagination. Note: It could be dangerous for kids just learning to walk, our 11 month old has already had a couple of hard lessons in how cruel mistress gravity can be with this thing.

I got this even though my daughter is only 2 months old just because it looked so interesting. She fits in it OK and we can rock her, but it's no match for the neglectomatic swing or even the car seat in that department, so never mind that. However, some friends came over last night with their 2 year old daughter and she went straight for it, sat down in it, and started spinning and rocking. It didn't hold her attention for too long at first, but she did go back to it several more times in the evening, putting other toys in it and under it and putting it over her head, so clearly it was attractive to her. It's just a neat, solid, smooth, curvy thing that I'm sure will get used in a bunch of different ways. It's solid enough to stand up to some serious abuse, I could stand on it and it wouldn't bend or break. I'm sure the nice shiny finish will wear, especially once it gets outdoors, but there's no way it's going to break or wear through.

Review for bilibo

Rating: 4

My son, who just turned 2, was pretty confused when we gave him the Bilibo, and at first was more interested in the cardboard box and packing paper that came with it. Since then, he's used it to transfer blocks from the floor to the storage bin, as a "spinner" for his toy lion, and has sat it in once or twice, dubbing it the "wobble chair." Then he kind of lost interest in it. But I think he'll return to it. When he's a bit older I'm sure he'll sit in it and spin around and giggle and it will be, like, one of the best toys ever.

I did purchase this as a gift, but I let my 3 year old daughter play with it for a few days before I put it away. We are planning on getting her on for Christmas so I wanted to see how she liked it. She loved it! The minute I took it out of the box she gasped and said "what's that?" She then sat in it, wore it as a hat, put the new kitten in it, stood on it and did a ballerina pose, had daddy spin her in it and just sat and rocked in it. She played for about 2 hours straight. It is constructed very well, my husband stood on it to see how much weight it would hold and without bending AT ALL it holds 220lbs. I love this product and I'm going to be buying at least 3 more by christmas.

What a wonderful toy to help tap into children's creativity and imagination! My 4 and 6 year old boys took to their Bilibos immediately. They pretended they were turtle shells, helmets, spinning tops, revolving seats, bowls, etc. with no prompting from me. They have learned they can keep their favorite toys in them, use them as car garages, put their stuffed animals in them and pretend they are feeding them, etc. My boys were very excited to know that I purchased the mini Bilibos for my 6 mo. old daughter. They like showing her how she can use it for her toys when she is old enough. Right now it is one of her favorite teething toys. The Bilibo is the catalyst that sparks imagination and creativity!

Love at First Sight

I purchased the Bilibo for my 2 year old daughter. Within one hour she was doing everything with it they show in the booklet. It was a stool, a chair, a handy dandy carry-all, a helmet and more. The Bilibo is very well made, very sturdy and brightly colored. The size is just right for carrying and sitting. I wasn't sure if she would understand what to do with it at first, but my fears quickly disappeared. If you have an active, curious child, take a chance on the Bilibo. It's really quite fun.

Fabulous for open-ended play. My daughter is 18 mos and hasn't started too much pretend play yet, but she uses it as a "sit and spin," puts toys in it, etc. I'm sure she'll love playing pretend games with it as she gets older.

Actually, Our 4-year-old grandson just received this at his family birthday party yesterday. Attracted to the biggest wrapped present there, he opened it first. There were six children present, ages 3 to 8. Every child interacted with it all day long -- each according to their age, physical size, and imagination. Spinning was popular along with "falling out." Wearing as a helmet and using the holes as eyes to turn kids into monsters was too. Our adult children had their fun with it too -- they're kind of crazy! I think having more than one Bilibo would be lots more fun, especially outside in warm weather.

The one year old is very active, crawling into, on, over, under where ever he can get, so I know he will get much use out of it. This item has so many possibilities!!! Great design! and so sturdy!

I gave the bilibo to my 15 month old granddaughter for Christmas. She turned it over and looked at it Christmas morning and then went on to her other toys. I noticed later that she started returning to the bilibo. She started sitting in it and spinning around in it. She also put toys in it like a bucket and would put it on her head and the heads of others playing. I realize she is below the 2 year old guideline for the bilibo but as I watched her I could tell it would be a toy she would continue to return to as she grows. She is playing with it now but I expect she will play with it even more as she gets older and bigger. Right now her legs are too short to get the most out of sitting in it or on it but as she grows it will be better suited for her.

I was so curious as to whether my 1 year old would even touch this toy! Believe it or not, she loved it! She immediately huddled over it and pushed it all around the living room as if she was driving it. She also LOVES to be spun around in it... she laughs the entire time. Don't be too critical of this toy... my dad immediately said, "that's not a toy" when he saw it. But when my daughter took to it so quickly he soon changed his mind. Not only is it good for sitting and spinning or pushing, we came up with a dozen other ways a child could play with it. And even when it's not in play mode it's still useful--I fill it with smaller toys and it serves as a toy bin. She is quick to remove everything though and find something to do!

We got this for our 21 month old, but she doesn't have the ability to balance her weight so we can spin her in it. The 3 1/2 year old big sister has a lot more fun with it. It is basically a seat to be spun in - I've tried to encourage other uses with no luck.
He's a well-rounded character. As little children enter the developmental stage of imaginative play - they typically see other sides of Bilibo.

The Favorite Toy

I gave a Bilibo to my 2-1/2 year old niece for Christmas, thinking she could have fun while getting a bit of physical exercise. I was there when she opened all her Christmas toys and she had received about 8 altogether. She loved them all, but once she'd opened the Bilibo, that was the end for the others ... she was totally focused on the Bilibo for a solid 2 hours, laughing and rolling around all over the livingroom. It was definitely her favorite toy and truthfully, it entertained all of us for most of the day. Some of the simplest ideas are the best!

I have been skeptical of this toy and seen it around for a few years now on respectable toy sites and in the good toy stores. I figured they would not still be selling this if it did not capture a kids attention. My biggest reason for the skepticicm was the lack of knowing what it really is. I cannot quantify it really. What the heck is it? Well I bought it for my 4th son, who is 18 months old, for Christmas. After 4 boys, you already have just about every good toy out there for boys so I was finally willing to try this thing whether it was a dud or not. My verdict: who cares if you don't know what it is, they like it. All 4 of my boys ages 11, 7, 5, and 18 months were fighting over turns with it. They sit in it, they spin in it, they rock, they wear it as a helmet, they use it as a stool, the little one lounges in it. The toddler says "Weeee!" in the cutest way imaginable as he rocks around and spins in it. The older boys like to spin him in it. It is god plain old funny, fun.

She was spinning and back and forth with the help from a nearby adult, and squealing with delight. Since her birthday, we've heard that she likes to carry her "babies" in it - anything from dolls to stuffed animals, to whatever she feels like. Our little guy might just be too little. He is only 13 months, but when we put him in it, he got scared and cried, so now he doesn't like it. He occasionally puts toys into it and pushes it around. Hopefully he will get more fun out of it when he is a little older.
The fundamental truths of the Bilibo. 1. Bilibo likes children sitting in him only when they are not crying. 2. Bilibo's best features are often discovered over time. 3. If Bilibo doesn't make friends with your child in short order, please visit the Returns & Exchanges center for friendly assistance.

Next time it snows, we will try it out in the snow. They have hid under them, stood on them, sat on them, put their dolls in them..we will see what else???

A break from battery operated toys with no imagination!
Posted 2/21/2011 by Rachel Sollid
Rating: 5

My daughter LOVES this product. She takes it into the shower and plays with it in there along with her mini billibo. When she isn't playing in the water with it she is laying down and pretending to be a turtle or sitting in it and toppling over which makes her giggle. I'm sure once the weather gets a little better it will be used frequently outside! Very fun and imaginative toy! I get very tired of noisy toys that eat up batteries and don't allow for much imagination since they do all the work for the child. This is a refreshing break from that!

A little disappointed

After reading all of the great reviews for this product, I thought that my 2 year old son would really like this gift. However, he really had no interest in it at all and rarely plays with it. He has maybe used the bilibo about 5 times, and all that he used it for was to carry his matchbox/toy cars around. The quality of the product is fabulous, but my son is just not interested in it at all.

Our 18 month old grand daughter plays with the Bilibo all the time. She liked the one at her house so much we bought on for our house too. She especially likes to sit in the Bilibo and rock and play with other toys. It is great the she can lean over and easily reach other toys that are near her. She also uses for a hat and carries other toys in it.

I purchased the bilibo for my son's first birthday. I read the reviews and was intrigued to see how my 1 year-old would react to the imaginative toy. He immediately tried to sit on it, loved sitting in it and put toys in and out of it. My older son was excited about the pictures in the product book that was attached. Wants to take it out in the snow. I think the bilibo has endless possibilities.

Gave this to my niece (20 months old) for Christmas. She immediately put it on her head. Have seen her twice since - was using bilibo to carry her "Little People", then set her doll in it and spun her around and around. She also loves taking "sled" rides up and down the hallway (laminate floor). They will be taking it home to Miami where I hope she will have tons of fun with it on the beach.

My 18 month old grandson is at the stage where he enjoys " spinning" things such as spinning tops, helicopter blades he spins, etc. He received this toy Christmas morning and promptly put his favorite small toys in it and spun it around. He sat there for quite some time, opened another present but came back time and time again to the bilibo. I'm looking forward to taking him in the snow with it, and of course showing him how to sit in it, to spin HIM around in it. I can see this toy has gotten his attention as no other. I believe I will have just as much fun with him and the Bilibo. This is an amazing toy! Something so simple yet so much fun.

I'm very happy with the product, but Charlie (2) has hardly touched it since she received it three days ago. Her brother (4) has had some fun with it. I think that she'll discover it on her own and find ways to interact with it: just know that it doesn't have an obvious use or immediate appeal. It looks sturdy and she's worn it as a hat once or twice. The toy is designed for imaginative play and as soon as Charlie's in an imagining mood, I'm sure she'll find a use for it. I wish I'd ordered two, as I think seeing them fitted together or seeing her brother play with one would have sparked some play time.

I thought this toy was pretty neat when I opened it. It is a well constructed, smooth plastic toy. Initially all 3 of my children: 3 years (who gift was for), 8 years, and 10 years thought it was cool. They climbed on it, used it as a turtle shell, and tried to spin in it. Once the novelty wore off after a few days, they lost interest. A few months later, it sits unused. It is not very safe or stable for spinning, (its only real fun use). I will try to incorporate it into future toy storage. I would not buy it again.

But...before he even unwrapped his bilibo, my son was spinning it around and playing with it. Then, once unwrapped, we threw some of his smaller toys in it and had a great time watching him go to town trying to fish them all out of there. He loves it, and so do we.

Information about bilibo

The gift was for my petite 13 month-old granddaughter. She didn't realize what she was opening, but her excited mother did! She enjoyed sitting in it and rocking, but fully tipped over (onto soft carpeting), which startled her. She enjoyed putting it on her head, and depositing other toys in it. I'm excited that this will be a toy that she'll grow with - always finding new uses for her green shell! So many toys for toddlers are outgrown in 2 months, but I trust that she'll be playing with her Bilibo for years to come.

Review for bilibo

Rating: 5

My nearly 1 year old will climb on it & put things in it, but it is my 5 & 10 year olds who've used it the most. Their favorite thing to do is to sit in it & try to keep their feet/hands from touching the floor while somebody spins them around. This works well on carpeting, but I don't know how it would fare on hard floors. It makes a good target to bounce balls into, or throw sock balls into. My 5 year old also wants to try sledding with it, but the brochure that come with the Bilibo says it is not intended as a sled. It does infer that the only way this thing can break is if you leave it out in the sun for years.

Bilibo

This was a gift for a four year old girl given at a family gathering with children ages 1 to to 13. I was a little worried when the child and everyone else asked 'what is it?' I suggested it could be many things - let's see the kids figure it out. It's first iteration was as a turtle shell. This was the most popular toy at the gathering. Every time we turned around, one child or another was spinning, sitting, rocking, pushing another across the floor with it. It left the gathering filled with stuff - yet another function for a toy meant to become whatever the user envisions. Very sturdy and a lot of fun. I'm glad to have given one to several small ones on my list.

I was thinking it looked like fun, too bad there isn't one for adults!

The gift was purchased for our 2 year old granddaughter. She immediately played with it in the matter illustrated in your video. Biggest surprise was the response to it by her 5 year old sister. She loved it! She put it on our hardwood floor in the kitchen and spun around in it, rocked in it, rolled in it....generally had a great time with it. Then, she spun her little sister around in it with both of them giggling at the experience. It was great to watch them both play with it. Such a simple toy, nothing passive at all about it and no batteries to mess with. It made quite a hit.

I gave this as a gift to my 23-month-old today. He wasn't sure what to do with it, but his older sisters (5y and 9y) were all over it. It'll be a great balance and gross dexterity builder for the youngest as he grows into it. It fosters group play, especially for younger kids, because one can sit in it while others helps spin or rock it. Be careful on hard floors, though--it can lead to bonked noggins!

Like the idea, but still waiting for kids to get

I purchased this for my little girl turning 1 based on the idea of how great abstract play is. Unfortunately, she hasn't gotten into playing with it (though she thinks it's fun if I sit her in it for a minute) and my 2.5 year old boy typically only briefly plays with it to put it on his head and look through the two holes. We haven't had the Bilibo during winter to play with in the snow or in the summer to play with in the beach/water, but I'm hopeful that will lead to more play. I'm also thinking that maybe I bought the toy prematurely, but like I said, I remain hopeful that the kids will grow to like it more- especially based on the other reviews which contributed to my purchasing the toy.

She wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but once I showed her a few things to do with it she likes it. Currently she enjoys standing on it and jumping off, sitting in it, sitting it and having me spin her around, and throwing her toys in it and spinning them around. I can't wait to see what she does with it once her imagination develops even more.

More for 4 Year Old Perhaps?

I bought two Bilibos. One for my almost 3 year old and one for my almost 18 month old. They both need active play so I was hoping that they would play with the Bilibo together. They were excited at first - wearing it over their heads, stepping on them. However, they haven't played with them since. I think it's because they are both not strong enough to sit and spin themselves around. They keep falling over and can't get their balance in them. I intend on keeping them because I see the potential for great imaginative and active play. I just think they're still too young to appreciate the toys.

This an open-ended toy which allows for my little one to learn through exploration while utilizing her creative intuition. The possible uses for this bilibo will positively change with her interests over the next several years. One of the best attributes is its versatility: how it promotes both independent play and interactive play. She is using it at 11 months right now....a bit early... but she is on soft carpet since it is tippy. For now, she just likes to spin in it.

Bilbo (green and blue)

Rating: 5

After seeing the bilbo toy on the Fat Brain website I purchased two, thinking my 18 month old son might enjoy sitting in them or pushing his toys around in them. I was right and wrong. Not only does my 18 month old enjoy sitting in the bilbos and pushing his toys around in them, but he also likes flipping them over and climbing up on top of them over and over again (at his age/size, they are just big enough to challenge his budding climbing skills). In addition, he spins, rocks and tips this way and that. The bilbos are among his favorite toys! Another surprising thing about the bilbos? My 7 and 8 year old sons also like them! They sit in them and spin and spin and spin. They also like to hold them up and pretend they are turtles or wear them as masks on top of their heads. I was very surprised that they showed any interest at all in a toy I thought to be strictly of preschool age appeal. But, it was great to see them using their imagintions and enjoying simple play together.

Bilibo for 2 Year Old Boy

Interesting toy that lets the child decide its purpose. While my child thinks it's a better hat than anything else at this point, I think that will change over time. He sits in it and lets me spin him around. He hasn't learned how to balance and spin himself yet. His continued interest in the toy tells me that he will find many uses for it in the future. For now we'll give it 3 stars.

I love the design and the variety of ways that it can be used. This is a Christmas present from my one year old son, and I know that he will love it. He is so active and I am sure that he will find many uses that I have not thought of.

This is a great, versatile toy that my two toddlers love. They can sit in it, on it, and put things in and out of it.

It works great as a stool and she LOVES to turn circles in it. Make sure you have lots of room to play though!

Fun Fun Fun!

We have a 3 year old and 7 month old, so we're just at the beginning of learning how much fun the Bilibo will be. It's been fun to spin in, use as a turtle shell, and to play with trains. My daughter saved the informational booklet to learn how other kids use it, so we're looking forward to many days of fun (especially once it snows!)

I bought this for my curious, energetic granddaughter for her first birthday. Her parents immediately placed her in it and all the adults and other children were greatly intrigued by this odd looking gift. I am sure she will find many ways to play and use this cute, colorful toy for many years to come.

Bilibo Chair in pink!

LOVE this chair (or whatever my kids are using it as at the moment)! It's highly functional and sturdy! We even have adults sittting in it at times! It's a great toy and our OT recommended it for our little one but now each one of the kids has their own -- they don't like to share this toy! We have yellow and pink and the colors are amazing!

fun and imaginative!

I have 2 boys, ages 3 and 18 months. We have a bilibo and they just LOVE it! They use it for many things - to name a few: as a step to reach higher things, as a tunnel for trains and cars, in the kiddie pool, to carry stuff around, as a hat, to sit and spin in, to catch balls in when we throw them...it's endless! The Bilibo has turned into the gift that I give to children in our lives. People ask 'what is it, what do you do with it?' and the answer is, it's totally up to the kids! Best part, it doesn't take batteries!

roly poly fun

Great toy that can be used upright or upside down - younger kids better upsidedown as a climb over the mountain. rightside up can be too unsteady for young ones (under 18 months). Reminds us of the helmets in the movie spaceballs!

Bilibo

This is the most simple toy ever imaginable! It is just a shell! But as soon as my 2 and 5 year old saw it (I bought 1 for each) they knew exactly what to do! The imaginative ideas are endless. Some my children have done are: use it as a chair or flipped a mini stool, play in the pool w/ it, spin in it, play shell/turtle, make a smiley face by putting them together (2 bilibos), storage, my older son uses it as a fort for his army men-endless..... These are the most durable things ever made.-Don't buy a sit and spin-buy this! If you had girls it is a perfect baby doll bed-seat!
