I purchased a bilibo for each of my 2 grandchildren last spring. They enjoyed them through the summer, using them outside to haul dirt, build tunnels and garages for "heavy" equipment and frogs and to sit on while playing in the garden. Indoors they were fun to spin in on our hardwood floors. And great to stand on when a little extra height was needed to reach something. Now that winter is here, we are trying them out on the slope near grammy's house. They are a little scuffed, but still have years of use left in them! Great purchase.

I have two boys ages 3 and 5 years so I purchased two bilbos. My younger son is developmentally delayed and so far I think the bilbo is a terrific toy/tool. He loves to spin it around, put it on his head, sit in it and rock all around. It's a great core strengthening tool. My five year sits in it to read and stands on top for balance. So far I love our bilbos.

What a fantastic toy for kids who like to use their imagination.
I bought this for my five year old who just loves creative play.
It's wonderful! I would definitely recommend this toy to others and I have already told my friends about it.

I love the bilibo...my son has two of them, and they are wonderful. We have all heard the standby "the kid liked the box better than the present" and bilibo is just that...the box. It can be anything the child wants. I love the imagination building that happens every time my son plays with this toy!

I bought this a little prematurely, my daughter is just turning one and it is recommended for 2 years and up. She was fascinated by the little holes though and was poking her finger through and watching her finger come out the other side! The picture with the child model makes it look like a seat, but it is much more than that...I can tell that it takes balance to sit in it upright. I love that this is an open ended toy...there is no one purpose for it; I can see us keeping and using this for many years!

This product is all that I expected and more! I am amazed at the multitude of ways the children in my preschool class find to make use of this material each day. It is a great large motor activity to have available in the classroom, and every child has utilized the bilibo in the week that we've had it, each in unique and fascinating ways. It is the sort of open-ended material that work best in early learning environments.

The bilibo was a perfect large motor development toy for our grand daughter who will be one in May. She will enjoy this toy for years to come. Right now she sits on top of it like she is riding a turtle. Putting her stuffed animals in the seat and turning them around gets a huge laugh out loud from all of us.

I bought this for my girls ages 1 and 5. They love it! I got it out and sat it on the floor. Right away they were spinning it, putting things in it, climbing in it and on it. They love it! They are both very imaginative and I love that there is no "right" way to play with this toy. It is virtually indestructible, so they aren't going to break it or crack it. This toy is much like a cardboard box, but lasts much, much longer and has even more possibilities. We can't wait to play with them outside in the snow!

This is the coolest thing! My husband thought I was crazy when I explained it to him, before it arrived and then after as well. However, it is honestly one of the most played with toys my son recieved. He is on the autism spectrum. While he is 6 years old (close to the end of the age range of this product), I do not see him putting it away anytime soon. It is used as a bucket. He also uses it as a monster truck. He can turn it into a tunnel for everything. Sometimes he just sits in it while playing. We are very pleased. It is more than just a "bowl" as my family implied!

I bought these for my son's second birthday. He has used them in the water and spins them on the ground, sometimes stands on them or sits in them ... but his attention toward them is greatly limited, more so than any of his other toys. I don't know if it is his age? Maybe he will find more things to do with them as he matures. I had hoped he they would engage him more than they do right now. It is almost time for some snow so we are looking forward to trying them out on the hill as a sled, perhaps they will be a hit then?

The bilibo is made from REALLY durable plastic - stronger than I would have thought. I actually tried it out - took it for a spin, if you will - in my kitchen and it didn't even bend (this, from a 120 lb. woman). I haven't actually given it to the child who's birthday I bought it for, but I can't wait to see her face. I can tell that I'll need to be adding more of these to her toy library in the years to come. My discounting of one star is for the $30 price tag for a hunk of plastic - but it's a well designed hunk of plastic - so I'll take two!

I had a plastic seat when I was a kid and my mom still has it - I'm 42! All the kids sit in it and spin. When I saw the Bilibo I thought it was similar and was quite excited, plus it had all those great reviews. I think it stinks. Neither of my children played with it for more than 30 seconds. It doesn't function the way I expected but regardless of that - the kids don't find it interesting or fun. Funny to note - there are pictures of kids "under" the Bilibo, yesterday my kids played under the dog bed, which they have never done before - so i'm thinking - who needs the Bilibo. We are planning on returning both Bilibos we purchased.

I have 5 kids, 12 down to 1. All 5 want to sit in the Bilibo and spin. I don't know why it is such a kid magnet but they all love the simple fun of spinning and balancing in it. I bought it for the baby who has Down syndrome, she giggles and loves being gently spun in it. I think we will get a lot of use out of it. It is a simple but sturdy toy that can also be a doll bed (my 4 y.o.), a toy basket, a helmet with eye holes (my 9 y.o. son) and a stool/seat. Love it!

I run a home daycare and have two of my own children ages 6 and 8. I purchased this toy to keep the children active in the winter months and also to spark their imagination. It has done both. They use the toy to sit and rock, spin, and stand on. They have used it for dolls, to carry things in and they have made up games involving it. It is an awesome toy and I plan on purchasing more. I think with more than one, they will come up with even more wonderful ideas.

I would love to review this for you in a month as well. I work in a school for special needs children and ordered the bilibo for the 1st grade classroom. Specifically for one child who seeks vestibular movement and loves to spin!
Some of the difficulty we are having is that with poor motor planning skills and decreased balance skills it has been difficult for this particular child to access. However, it has only been in the classroom for one week and each day he is able to use it a bit more. Yesterday he did about 10 seconds of spinning in it. (we are looking for minutes of spinning to meet his needs.)
I have high hopes for this as he is gradually getting the hang of it. My prediction is that in a month, he will be using it frequently throughout his day and enjoying himself tremendously!

Fun for the whole family

I bought this item for my son who just turned two. He has played with it some, mostly putting his cars in it and wobbling it back and forth so they can roll in it. However, I didn't realize how much fun the rest of my family could have with it. My 7-year-old nephew loves to play with it, sit in it, etc. My 12-year-old nephew likes to put plastic balls in it and spin it really fast to have the balls fly out. My 30-year-old husband likes to use it as a helmet, put it behind his head (he says it amplifies sound), and use it as a ramp for motorized cars.
My son also got two mini-bilibos (red/yellow) and he uses them in the sandbox. He likes to put sand it in and have it pour out of the two holes into the other bilibo. After a few hours of play in the sandbox, the bilibos lost their shine. And after spinning the big one on carpet, the bottom has lost its shine. It hasn't stopped anyone from playing with them, though.
Overall, the whole family has had a great time with all of the bilibos! And the 7-year-old requested one for his birthday!

My son is 18 months old and has not yet engaged play in the Bilibo. He looks at it and bangs on it like a drum, but was a little apprehensive when we put him in it to spin. Ironically, he loves a sit and spin. This is just a different approach to spinning I guess. I'm not concerned though. I'm sure in a few months he will love the Bilibo. Just a note, my oldest son, 17 years, and his friends have enjoyed trying to fit in the Bilibo and spinning.

I purchased a Bilibo for my Grandaughter for her 2nd birthday and it was an immediate hit. She uses the Bilibo as a seat for watching TV. She has also found other uses such as pulling her other toys around like it was a sled, turning it over also makes it rock which she also enjoys outside as well as inside. The fun is watching her use her imagination to come up with different ways to enjoy her Bilibo.

We received the bilibo in the mail and the kids went to town using their imaginations. They pulled it out of the box asking what it is and I told them to figure it out. They spun in circles, used it as a baby bed, highchair, bucket, stepping stones, stepstools, and potties for their babies, lol. I bought 3 for my daycare and have ages from 2-5, they all love them. Yesterday they took them outside and used them to make a snowman. I am very happy with my purchase, not to mention the incredibly fast delivery from Fat Brains.

My 4 year old niece visited for a weekend and barely got out of our Bilibo! Lucky for me, her birthday was just a few days later and I quickly ordered her one of her very own! She spins in it, carries her toys, stands on it and jumps off and just can't get enough of the fun! I had so much fun watching her giggle while she played. It's a great gift and fun for all ages! (Even my husband "tried" it to see what all the fun was about! :) ). It also travels well. I also ordered two more for 2 year old twins and from what I understand, they love them too! I'm planning to order a few at Christmas for the large motor room at our daycare.

It's an enduring attraction, which is to say it draws my kids' attention in different ways on different days and has not yet become passe to them. I have a feeling they'll return to it time and again in the years ahead-- after all, I recently spotted my husband standing on it while talking on the phone... this think inspires adult play too!

I purchased the bilibo for my 19 month-old, but my 7 year-old loves it too, and has even requested one of her own. We've only had it for a week, but the kids have played with it every day. They particularly like sitting in it and spinning; that never gets old. We haven't taken it outside yet, but I have a feeling that filling it with water or sand will be a big hit. Definitely a great purchase and I'll undoubtedly give it as a gift to other kids I know.

I'd never heard of these before, but they looked like fun, so I got 2 for my 2-year-old nephew. He loved them. Right after opening them, he was coming up with tons of ways to play with them - sitting and spinning (himself and his teddy bear), putting it on his head, using it as a stool. I can tell this is something he's going to have a lot of fun with.

It is very good, pleasing quality material, my baby knew right away that she should sit in it. Only thing, that she didn't expect, that she would tip over on her back. It scared her and I think she is kind of afraid to play with it so much. She still plays with it in many different ways, she puts some blocks into it and carries it around, she gets into it and carefully turns around. She is 2 years old. Also the bottom of Bilibo is getting scratched. I cannot give the highest rating, sorry.

I was excited to get this toy as it appeared to be so different. The toy was for my daughter who is 3 years 4 months old. I have to tell you it has been a total bust. I wanted my daughter to have time to play with it and I wanted my neices and nephews to try it out too. The children range in age 2, 4, 6 and 7. Not one of them wanted to play with it. Even the prospect of spinning in it did not appeal to them. So far it has been sitting in a corner - unused. In time it may be used as a container but even that has not happened! Oh well - you live and learn!

My kids are apparently bigger than the girl in the picture. They just barely fit in it, so it's hard to spin and keep any balance. Not sure what else to do with it or why we paid as much as we did. Not too impressed.

I'm a pediatric physical therapist, and I purchased this toy to use with my Early Intervention kids. What a wonderful, multifunctional toy! The kids are easily drawn to its bright color and unique shape. It has become a basketball hoop, a chair, a stepping stone in an obstacle course, a rocker, a turtle shell, a helmet, a drum and a spinning ride! I can use it with every child, and it is easy to clean between visits. The gross motor and sensory benefits are terrific. I'm going to recommend we purchase several for use in the clinic. Worth every penny!

The first problem I had with this toy is getting it out of Bompah's hands to wrap it!!!! So. . .I can say that "boys" of all ages find this toy intriguing. The second problem I had with this toy is trying to get the two grandsons (who each received their own Bilibo) to play with it separately. They really enjoyed working together on their ideas for play. And the third problem I had with this toy is getting the boys' father to let them play and not take the Bilibos away. So, as you can see, this is a very troublesome toy. . .a problem that every family should have!

I wasn't sure what the big deal was when I ordered this toy for my two-year-old son. But, he loves it. I sat in it and did a little spin and he said, "Daddy, daddy, I want a turn!" And the look on his face as he teetered in it and did a little spinning was pretty priceless.
He loves to put his other toys in it and basically use it as intended; which is to say, for any old purpose he sees fit.
Although entirely plastic, the product is well made and well designed. The shape is organic and appealing to the eyes and hands. There are no rough edges or "burrs" of excess plastic, and the fact that it could hold my weight (190 lbs) while I showed my boy how to spin in it is also impressive.
It does create static electricity on the rug in the house and it therefore acts as a conductor of dog hair, but oh well, I guess that's just the price one pays for fun.
The packaging does warn to only use it on a clear area that is flat and that should be strongly reiterated. It is easy for little people to tumble out of it while they are learning how to balance, and I would recommend keeping a watchful eye on play at least until your kid gets the hang of it.
I like this so much I think I'm going to order another one and a set of the mini ones for the bath.

Perhaps my son is young for this toy? The toy arrived over a week ago and still, he isn't the least bit interested in playing with it. Heck, I even played with it myself, but he couldn't have cared less. I am hopeful that we'll get some use out of it in the future, but who knows. Interestingly, I never would have purchased the toy if I hadn't read the rave reviews-- Bilbo just didn't look like something my son would go for. I guess my instinct was correct.

Good Fun!

We bought this after playing with it at a friend's house. It is very fun and versatile, and looks like an upside-down helmet that kids can sit and spin in. My 6 year old had a lot of fun taking turns to spin in it with his friends, and my 2 year old seems to enjoy it as well. My only caution is that if a child is on the smaller side, it would be easy to tip and fall over. In other words, it may be hard to catch one's balance if one's arms and legs are not long enough. I would definitely say that if you can use the Bilibo on the carpet, with lots of clear space around, this will be a fun toy. It is definitely washable and would make a good outdoor toy as well.

My husband and I bought this product for our 4 year old daughter. At first, she wanted us to tell her what to do with it. However, it wasn't long before her imagination took over. It is so fun to watch her come up with different ways to play with the Bilibo. Anything from spinning in it to using it as a stage when she has something "important" to say. She has only had it a week, but it has already made it's way to the top of her toy list!

My 10 year old loves to spin. It is only recommended for kids younger and smaller than her, but it is working out great (I can even fit in it and go for a spin!). This toy is much more fun than a Sit and Spin, is smaller to have around and has more play-ability than the Sit and Spin. All of my kids are really enjoying it!

The design is great. I love "open-ended" toys that promote creativity. My 3 year old has had hers for 1 week now and it has already been used as a "sit-n-spin", a basket for toys, a cave for her dinosaurs, a helmet, a step stool, a swing for her bear, etc. You get the picture! My 7 month old also finds it fascinating. I can see potential for this toy being used in many different ways over the coming years. The reason I gave it only four stars is because it's a bit bulky for storage and it's plastic so the static in the dry weather causes it to pick up all the debris off what I thought were my clean floors. But my daughter seems truly pleased with it and that's all that matters.

We have a large bilibo, 2 mini bilibos, and one set of bilibo pixel. All of these toys are sturdy, bright, colorful, fun, and provide open-ended opportunities for play. My children are boys aged 2, 4, and 6, and all three of them enjoy playing with these toys in a variety of different ways depending on their age. They make great gifts, as well. I have given the big bilibo and minis as gifts to family and friends, and they have been very well-received.

As a side note, my twin 6 year old boys and my 3 year old nephew also love it. We are thinking of getting a couple more!

In all fairness, there were other interesting things to do, and if their visit had been longer they eventually might have investigated the Bilibo more.

I gave this toy to each of my kids and my 2 nephews. I was concerned that it might be a flop, but my 3 year old immediately turned it over and started spinning in it! Then my 1 year old did the same thing (with my help) and they laughed for an hour. Now they have played with them every day and have found alternate things to do with it. I love Bilibo - no lights, no batteries, and they are bigger then I expected because I think the kids in the pictures must be older than my 3 year old. I would imagine that an even older kids would find even more things to do with it. Bilibos also seem to be very strong. Highly recommended.

We purchased these for our twins when they were almost 2 years old and they showed no interest in the Bilibo's at that time. They are now 2 1/2 yrs old and they are still sitting in a corner, while they prefer to play with their Lego's and Wedgits. Our older kids find the Bilibo's fun to spin in, but they are too big to sit in them properly. With that in mind, I hope that our twins will enjoy playing with the Bilibo's when they get a bit older. Until then, I have decided to store them.

We got the Bilibo to help our granddaughter with her balance and sense of rolling and rocking motion. She won't get on a swing, but did sit in this and is enjoying it. She spins herself around in a circle using her feet and rocks from side to side. She also puts in on top of her and likes to have stories read to her in the Bilibo. Hoping it gives her the confidence to move to a swing and enjoy that experience.

Our sixteen month old daughter is perhaps a bit young to truly enjoy this toy to its full extent. However, we do believe that she will grow to like it more. At her present age, our daughter mostly appreciates playing with the Bilibo in a more social way. For example - we go for spins together, we play "Hats" and "Peek-a-boo" with the Bilibo on our heads. We spin the empty Bilibo on our hardwood floor and she will throw different balls into it. This makes our daughter laugh, to see the balls spin around and sometimes pop out. Our daughter loves to stand on the Bilibo and slide down into a sitting position. Overall, I would say that we are all ready getting great value from this toy.

Trying to convince her that -anything goes- is more of a challenge than I had anticipated, the whole scenario has provided great insight into how much modern toys have taken the free thinking and imagination out of many toys. Often used as a balance toy I find she is apt to fall out of or off of the toy. At this age (2) I encourage her to use on the carpet.

My son received this toy for Christmas and he loves it! He will jump off of anything in the house and this toy provides him a safe way to do that.

my 2yo son plays with it once in awhile - it is used mostly as a storage bin. he will probably play with it more when he is older and stops falling out of it. my 3yo niece has a lot more fun with hers. but overall, i thought my kids would enjoy it the same as i watched in the promo video, so i was a little bit disappointed they haven't gotten "more" out of the toy.

My son loves to sit in his "special chair" to read stories. He's two and spinning in the chair is a little frightening yet, but I think this will last a long time and he'll get to the point later where he'll use it for other things.

Purchased for 4 year old grandson. He love it and so did his 2 year old brother and 8 year old cousin!! The moment they removed it from the box their imagination was unlimited with ways to play with it. I really wondered if my grandson would wonder what it was, but he saw all kinds of ways to play with it.

My two girls, ages 2 1/2 and now 4 received these bilibos as a spring gift. They were so excited by the colors!! At first they didn't know what to do with them, but now they are spinning around in them and scooting around the house in them!! I think it will be a great toy to play outside (in the grass) with. Overall great purchase.

This toy is great. My husband and I take toys pretty seriouly in our house. We try not to let our kids (ages 2.5 and 4.5) have things that have 1 specific purpose with lights and sounds and such. I love toys that can be used by a wide age range and that will stimulate the imagination. The Bilibo is perfect! It's exactly what we wanted! Our daughters have very big imaginaitons and this toy fits right in with the way they play, no matter what or how they're playing. It's good for active play or quiet play and everything in between. We are very satisfied!

I am a pediatric physical therapist and bought it to use with my clients. I've only had a couple of kids try it and it was too hard because they were lacking enough trunk control. I'm not sure but maybe if it had handles it would be a little easier to use for the physically challenged. I plan to continue using it but it's really too early to give you a adequate review.

This item was purchased for my 2 year old granddaughter, but I quickly found that the adults enjoyed it just as much. It is one of those items that you just have to try and figure out what to do with it and all of them are fun.

The bilibo is a wonderful invention. My daughter has only had it a few days so far, but she has used it in so many different ways. It has been a hat, a tunnel, a turtle shell, a chair, a spinning disk, and on and on. This is the modern day cardboard box.

We gave the Bilibo to our one year old grandson for his birthday. It was an immediate success with him as well as his four year old brother. As represented on line, it greatly encouraged creativity and active play. So, we have now bought another for the four year old's birthday.

I bough the Bilbo for my 13month old, yes, she is still a bit small for it - but she already loves it. I put her in it to sit and I'll 'twirl' her in hit and she just laughs in delight. She will now go get it and drag it to me! Love it and look forward to more in the future!

All of my nephews (ages 3, 6 and 8) loved this thing. I found them all scooting along the floor in it, refusing to get up and walk. They tried it on the snow in the huge recent NYC snowfall - that was not so successful as there is such a small amount of surface that makes contact with the ground. Mask, turtle shell, helmet, shield...no doubt it will also become a container of other playful things. This is such a great simple toy. Great assortment of colors, too.

This is a great product. It's very sturdy and useful. If the kids aren't playing with it, it can be used for "random" little toy bucket for quick cleanup. They have done everything with this toy from sitting on it, sitting in it, putting blocks in it and dumping them out, tying a string to it and pulling it around with their trains in it etc. I thought it would be a love it or leave it toy but we have to get another one b/c our 2 year old and 3.5 year old have disputes over who gets to use it/sit in it/etc.

I bought 2 of these, one for my 1 year old and one for my 4 year old. I wanted something different that they could be creative with. They have already done so many things with it from using as a chair to using as something to carry toys back and forth with. This is definitely a unique gift for the child that has everything.
