Terrific toy for small people
Posted 6/24/2008

This is a wonderful, open-ended toy with just enough structure to give a nudge about how it might be used, but very little else in the way of direction or instruction. This is a Good Thing. My daughter, at 6 months, immediately lunged for these gorgeously colored toys and found them tasty, percussive, and useful arm extensions for reaching things just a little too far away. The adults in her life have used them together as a singing clam, as catcher's mitts, as babies to a regular-sized Bilibo (also awesome), as the equivalent of air hockey pucks, as shells for two-cup monte, and so on. The possibilities are tremendous, and this toy will clearly grow with our child. I had briefly doubted if such small Bilibos would be useful, since the large ones look so terrific, but they provide a very different experience, especially as the scale is more manageable for small hands. I plan to get more!

My granddaughter liked the Bilibo Mini toy very much. It was small, but was perfect for her. Very good quality toy.

I was surprised at how small this item was. I thought it would be just a little smaller than the original one, so that my 2 year old can enjoy it. It's a cute product. My kids are enjoying the bigger one that we also ordered. They haven't found much use for the Mini Bilibo, other than to eat their goldfish crackers in them.

We really like the bilibo mini. Great toy for creative play. We would like to get another set of the minis. We also have original bilibo. The mini's are not made with as strong of a plastic, but they are still very durable.

What a fun toy!

I'm having as much fun as the kids with this toy! My 1 yr old son uses it to scoop water in the tub, we've tied balloons to it, it spins, it floats! The colors are bright and fun. I find it to be a well designed, multipurpose toy.

Loved it - so did my daughter, who at 7 months is a bit young for this particular toy according to the recommendations... Still, she seemed to really enjoy it and spent a long time looking at it trying to figure out what it was - only to eventually just plain play with it!

My daughter has a regular Bilibo. I thought the mini-size would make a fun companion. I love the Bilibos. They foster creative play. The mini size does not have as strong of plastic. It may wear out sooner than the larger size.

The boys have fun with it in the bathtub, pretending it's a mask or helmet, but mostly I find it useful as a replacement for the pitcher I used to use to pour water over them. I think it's the kind of toy you have to grow into.

We are very satisfied with the product. As a matter fact, I wouldn't just call it a product, but a means to unleash the creativity of a child's mind. Superb!

The product itself is very durable! At first my daughter didn't know what to do with it, so I told her to use her imagination. That was all it took! It instantly became a spider. It's a great tub toy too!

My four grandkids had been enjoying the large bilibos and were very excited to get the mini ones. Each grandchild, ages 1 to 7, have found diferent things to do with them from hats, to tunnels, to bathtubs, to jewelry holders.

I bought two bilibo minis, one for my 11 month old son and one for a 1 year old girl. They both love them. I like that they are light weight, so I can take them in my diaper bag to use as entertainment on the go. I also love that they are easy to keep clean and made to last!

I purchased this for 4 year old thinking he could use it at the park. We haven't taken it to the park yet, however I think the bilibo mini would make a fun mold for playing with damp sand, and making a good bucket/shovel hybrid. He could fill it up with water and let water flow out of the holes, or forming a water cascade from one bilibo to the other. He also loves his full-size bilibo, so the mini will bring additional pleasant associations at the park.

I can't begin to describe the giggles and squeals that erupt when I hide something inside two of the bilibo minis and pretend that they are going to eat my 1 year old nephew. Every time I look, he's using them in a different way. His 3 year old sister loves them too. She thinks they're babies to her full sized Bilibo and loves that they have "eyes!" I recommend buying these first for the younger set and moving up to the large Bilibo once they're older. I love toys that have no batteries, no moving parts and just require imagination. The kids ignore loud, flashy toys to make the Bilibos do whatever they want. I really feel like they help with what playtime is really supposed to be - time for growing through imagination.

Mini's are as Fun as The Original

If you have an Original Bilibo, you'll love the mini's as well. They are fantastic. Our twin 4 year old boys have the original Bilibos and the mini's to go with them, they love them. They really get them to use their imagination. They've become all sorts of things. And as their interests change, the Bilibos become whatever they need for them to be. I love that they don't have batteries, buttons, or any parts to loose, too! Great toy!

It was a big hit..the kids used it on the beach, in the water, filled it with sand and put a rubber duckie into it to float out to sea!

The Bilibo Mini is a great toy! I bought it for my 2 year old and he loves it. It's great that it comes in a set of two (no fighting between siblings or cousins in our case) and the kids loved them. They happened to arrive on a particularly hot day when we had the sprinkler out and right away they used them to fill with water and dump it on each other. Since then we have also used it in the tub, the sandbox, and just for fun with our other toys. Even if your kids just use them outside they're worth it, but just like the large bilibo, I'm sure they'll find a million more uses for it.
