This was a present for my Father who is an artist and newly interested in Automata. He was delighted.

This is a very cool mechanical toy, designed well and well made. In the day of electronics, my son found hours of "how does it do that?" in watching it. Since he is very mechanical it is quite educational. I would have rated it 5 stars, but this whole series of mechanical toys is on the delicate side and requires more care.

Super Cool Mechanics

We all love playing with this toy, we have a little boy who is just fascinated by mechanics and he has really studied this little critter. It looks like maybe it ought not be handled, but the designers did an amazing job making so little fingers can explore but not get caught. We have a bunch of Kikkerland toys and they are all super durable and well made.

Information about Le Pinch Wind Up

I have half a dozen of the kikkerland wind up toys...and really LOVE them. Le Pinch however doesn't seem as maneuverable
as the others...it tends to get a little hung up and needs a litlle push after a while. If I didn't have any other the other kikkerland toys, I would have given it 5 stars, but since I know what these little wind up toys are capable of I'm only giving it 4. They are quite mechanically beautiful.

Ours arrived out of its box, so maybe it was damaged during delivery... but, it is not of the quality of the other Kikkerland gadgets we've bought. The workmanship and materials are excellent, it just doesn't operate properly. These cute, surprising creatures are worth price- enough that I've requested another to be sent to us to see if the first one was defective or not.

Working Kikkerland gadgets rank right up there with sunshine on sparkling water. We promptly shipped a replacement. It's easy to turn on the sunshine if you receive a defective product, visit the Returns & Exchanges center for details.

I bought this and a couple other wind up toys for my 10 year old son. He loves them and so do all his friends. He is very mechanically minded and he is fascinated by how they work. They don't look that sturdy, but he has played with it for a couple weeks and hasn't broken it yet!!
