My boys love gears and building toys and are having a great time with the Movin' Monkeys. It is rated for childen 4 years old and older, but requires an older child or adult to get the pieces assembled the first time you play. There are plenty of pieces to allow for flexible building designs beyond those shown on the box or in the directions. Both my 5 year old and my 7 year old are jazzed about this new toy.

This is a great Gears Gears Gears set for younger children. The four year old child loves to play with it and rearrange all the moving parts. It really builds fine motor skills.

Movin' Monkeys

This was a gift for a nine-year old autistic boy, and his ten-year old brother (who has ADHD) got a different construction set. They play together alot, so they tend to combine the two dissimilar sets when they play.

Very appropriate for our 2 1/2 yr old son--- and his 12 yr old sister. Keeps him/them busy building for hours.

We bought this for our 4yo boy who is VERY engineer/construction/building/organization oriented. He was tickled pink. It did definitely require older person help for the initial set-up. He has played with it moderately so far. I think he will opt to play with it more as the novelty of some other Christmas gifts wear off.
