Excellent Choice

This is our second set of MagnaTiles. Our kids, ages 6, 4, 3, have the 100 piece set which they play with a lot. The youngest is able to make simple structures. The oldest can design architectural wonders! This is an open-ended toy, full of possibilities. The pieces stick together easily. It is a very sturdy toy.

Creative geometric play set

The tiles stick together with magnets along the edges allowing kids to build whatever they can imagine. The wheeled piece and various pieces with holes add to the creativity of the set. My 4-year-old son plays with them for hours at a time. He can be rough with his toys, but he has yet to damage anything.

This is my second purchase of magna-tiles. These are great toys! The boys play with them several times a week. I would highly recommend them for all kids.

A "must have" toy!

My daughter has these at preschool and all ages fight over who can use theses. I will give her this set for Christmas but know that it will be the only thing she will play non-stop. Great for all ages. The creativity with the 3d effect is great. I will be buying more sets in other colors once they are available again. Definitely worth the price!

I purchased Magna-Tiles DX 48 piece Set for my 3 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She loved it and so does her 5 year old brother. Even though 48 pieces sounds like a lot when you get to building something you could really use more pieces. The brightly colored tiles are fun and artistic for children.

My son is a HUGE fan of the translucent MagnaTiles. Over the years, we have continued to add to his collection, and he still asked for more for his recent 9th birthday. So, with the 100 piece translucent set assigned to another family member, I decided to try these for him. When he saw this set, he said, "These are the wrong ones." I tried to sell him on the versatility of this set - there are shapes that the clear set doesn't have, and these work with the other set, but he didn't like them. The magnet strength seems weaker on these, too, which my son also didn't like. So, my advice would be to go for the translucent set; really, for the last six years, my son has played with this toy. When other kids come over, everyone loves them. This is by far the best toy I have ever had for either of my children. They are expensive, but when I think of the toys that cost less, I can't seem to find them around the house anymore.
