Words to Ward Off Stress!

As a poet, I love playing around with words. This product was a great way for me to place words on a board (i.e. stand) and arrange them in many creative ways. It sure beats the scribbles and scratchouts on paper! Poetry is a therapeutic way for me to relieve stress and pent-up emotions.
In fact, all of my siblings have been using this product as a way to relieve stress from school as well. Sometimes word/phrase combinations are hilarious!
The only downside to this product is that there aren't that many words (i.e. it's a starter words kit). You have to buy other Magnetic Words kits such as the thematic ones or the Original in order to increase the variety of words you have. The option is to make your own magnetic words.
Other than that, I really like the poetry stand and have composed many poems from it already!

I write poetry and am writing my first novel. Magnetic Poetry tickles my brain cells. Hence, here are some poems concocted from your product: "Our hearts speak with ecstatic music & soothe stormy nights." "The sound of a stormy river will ricochet off the sky & fill a night with music." "The sea sings to the moon and soothes my stormy heart." "Dizzy river meandering into night. Hear the sound and taste life." "Remember prison. Solitary. Not paradise. Your heart's music was silent."

I originally purchased the magnetic words as a fun toy for myself to put in my office. After buying them, I discovered that I needed somewhere to put them. I had gone through the trouble of going to the craft store and picking out the wood and metal needed to make my own stand and then noticed in the product brochure that this item was sold. It was exactly what I was looking for and it came shipped to my house in perfect condition. It is totally durable and strong enough to hold all of my poems. Great Value!

I was surprised that this order was shipped and received so quickly. I ordered it on Sunday March 2nd and received it before the week was out. Wednesday March 5th. The product was just what I was looking for and at a terrific price. Thank you so very much. I will look to FatBrain Toys for the next toy purchase.

As a French and Spanish Teacher, I am constantly looking for ways to engage the kids. This product has been an invaluable tool for my students. They enjoy creating sentences using the magnets and the magnetic board!

This is the perfect magnetic poetry starter kit, you can stand it up practically anywhere and it comes with a ton of words.

I bought this for the board/stand only, as I had already bought a product called "Sequel Magnetic Poetry Kit" which had much more words in a slightly smaller type. The number of words that come with this package are at least 65% less than the "Sequel Magnetic Poetry Kit", and the type is bigger so you have to write smaller poems. But, like I said, you probably won't find this magnetic board and stand anywhere else, so for me it was worth it.

A great creative outlet to have for the office, or anywhere else for that matter. It comes with a metal surface with a sturdy wood base and a tray for the included magnetic phrases. This is an ideal way to combat the monotony that comes from everyday routine.

These are great! I ordered 20 of them for use in a high school creative writing class and the kids love them. Individual boards make them ideal for the classroom, altough I've given them as highly successful graduation gifts as well.

When introducing poetry writing to my eighth grade students (most of whom have little to no experience with poetry), I always begin with Magnetic Poetry. With individual Magnetic Poetry boards and an Enya CD playing softly in the background, students' first attempts at writing poetry are always nothing short of amazing! It gives students the confidence they need to continue writing poetry using several techniques I have created. And whenever they "don't know how to start," they quickly grab a Magnetic Poetry board and...voila...they are back into the business of writing sublime poetry! We are enjoying the Magnetic Poetry Stand--it is in constant use every class period. The stand is user-friendly and fun. My only suggestion is that the base should be more firmly affixed to the stand. It tends to fall off rather easily. Still, the product is a permanent fixture in my classroom. It is perfect to show students from the front of the room how Magnetic Poetry works. When I offer it for student use, thirty hands go up like Kotter's Horshack: "Oooh, oooh, oooh! Me! Me! Me!"

This product is fabulous! Originally purchased as a present for a boyfriend, who was a poet, I kept it for myself after we broke up and it now sits on my desk at my office. When I first set it up the only poem displayed was "Love Not The Poet" and it has remained to this day. Everyone at the office loves coming into my office to write poems.

I thought it would help my mom have a voice again. She's had several strokes. I love the board but for her own personal use she probably needs more every day words like bathroom, or maybe several words strung together on 1 magnet that are part of a sentence she would use in her every day life.

I had been searching for this product, could not find it in the various book stores and was worried that I was running out of time. I was very happy to find it on your website, and thrilled that it arrived quickly.

My 13 year old daughter is an aspiring author. She loves the insperation that that she gets from the free association of words that come with this. I would highly recomend it to to anyone who enjoys free form thinking and creative play.

I have the old poetry stand which does not have the pocket in the front to hold the letters. I found I had to put most of the word tiles all over the back. This Stand is great, as I just have to sit my word tiles right in the front. Much better, More Convenient, Just love it...Especially because I plan to keep this on my desk at work.

I actually purchased the magnetic poetry stand for an"Express Yourself" group we do at the social service agency I work for. It is a huge success!! We actually have patients that normally show little to no interest in things show huge interest in this poetry kit. We will be ordering more as soon as we get money to do so. Thanks, Melissa Tuller

What a great product! I purchased multiple stands for my 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders to use in the library during a poetry unit. I put a stand on each library table. The students love them & I've had teachers ask to borrow the stands to use in the classrooms, too. These products are meant for adults but, I only had to edit a few words out to make them appropriate to use in an elementary setting. I'm very happy with this purchase. These quality stands will last for a long time & be enjoyed by many children!

My 5 year old granddaughter and a 16 year old friend were instantly drawn to the Magnetic Poetry Stand with Magnetic Words. It works very well as a word teaching tool for my granddaughter. I liked being able to line up all the 2 letter, 3 letter, etc words in columns. However, I would have liked the word magnets to be larger. I'm glad I bought it and look forward to many hours of use.

I've always loved Magnetic Poetry!!!!! I think I have EVERY set. Unfortunately my husband HATES them on the fridge. (Bah Humbug!!!) Magnetic Poetry's Magnetic stand to the rescue!!! Now I can leave him little notes, poems, and suggestions (clean or NOT!!) in a self contained space! I love it.
And as an aside - the Magnetic Poetry calendars are wonderful for college students. I gave them to my twin 19 year old boys and told them to put them on the door of their dorm rooms. I promised them that the calendars are guaranteed "chick magnets"!!!! (what a thing for a mother to say)
