We play Apples to Apples with our kids, and it is quite fun. It is basically a word association game and gives us the opportunity to discuss the meaning of various terms and the importance of historical figures. The kids don't even realize they're learning. There is a junior version of the game, which might be more intellectually accessible to them, but then it wouldn't likely be as fun for me and their pa. Our 11 year old prefers to play the game where the object is to make the funniest association of words. I'm not sure we've played it according to the provided rules yet. It's been a lot of fun.
