This is a very nice toy for counting and patterns. Our 7 year old friend had fun with it while our 16 month old enjoyed watching. Nice.

The information enclosed with the Abacus has more emphasis on playing with the pretty "beads." There needs to be more emphasis on using an Abacus as an Abacus.

Good fundamental product

I think it is important to instill a fundamental understand in counting for my children. The colorful beads enhance the interest they have in this toy. It is well built, and an all around nice toy for them.
