Rating:

This sturdy bench was appealing to me because the pegs aren't removable and therefore can't get lost. It's appealing to my son because he loves to bang things, and this is a perfect outlet. We have to now teach him that the hammer only gets used on the bench, but it's worth it.

I love the quality of the product and the newer version where you hammer one down and the opposite one pops up elicits more "continued" play than the original. We love it.

An update on an old classic!

My 14 month old Godson new exactly what to do when it came to this toy. However keeping him from pounding the mallet on everything he walked by was a different story.

I purchased this for my one-year old grandson. He uses the hammer to pound the little heads! He crawls with the hammer in his hand. He also uses his fingers to push the little heads down. He absolutely loves this toy and won't stop playing with it in one way or another. I'm trying to teach him colors using these little heads. Thank you for such a great experience with this toy!

Literally, a "hit" at Christmas

We gave the Deluxe Pounding Bench to our 18-month niece and 2.5-year old nephew. It was a hit with both of them, along with their siblings/cousins. As others have said, it is well-made and it's nice that the pieces can't come out and get lost. It was a great Christmas gift!
