This was a Christmas gift for our 3 year old grandson to add to his wooden block collection. He loves it!

Very cute, very detailed and lots of blocks. Wish the size of the blocks was slightly larger.

The blocks were beautiful, larger than I expected, and well worth the price. Not only was the child to whom they were given enchanted, but the adults were as well.

my 3 1/2 year old really likes these blocks...they are fun to use to create all kinds of farm scenes and structures. My only complaint is that this particular set was a little bit sloppy looking...it seems like they were packaged when the paint was wet, or something! there are paint marks on some of the pieces that shouldn't be there. also some of the pieces weren't well-cut, and they wobble. As a product, it's a great idea, just not super well-crafted. Though, we've played with our friend's set and they were very nice, so maybe this was an exception.

basics are best

You just can't improve on some basic toys like blocks. These are ideal for little ones (18 months - 4-year-olds) because often they don't have the fine motor skills to manipulate tiny farm animals' legs in order to make them stand up. With these blocks, that's not a problem. In addition to fine motor skills, this block set fosters pretend play, another target play/cognitive skill at this age. One of my favorite attributes of this toy is it's noise-free! Children make the animal and tractor sounds, not the toys themselves. Noisy toys leave little room for a child's imagination and developing communication skills. Thanks for a great product at the best price I've seen!!
