Nice high chair. Some of the pieces were not cut to fit together very well and it could have been a bit stronger. We also ordered the crib and it seemed to be built better overall.

- GRANDPARENT

Rating:

Setting: Home

When I opened the box, I was hoping to find a solid high chair made of quality wood. Much to my delight, that is exactly what I found. The wood is solid, unlike many toys that are not so sound. The color was perfect, as well as the size and my granddaughter will be delighted!

I put the chair together. One short dowel kept falling out & the long dowl had a split. I called to get replacement parts but they have not come yet. I think once I replace these parts this will be a very nice chair for my granddaughter.

Pretty Nice But Had Some Defects
Posted 10/29/2009 by Amy R Dubman

Rating:

Three of the high chair legs had significant splits in the wood. When the chair was put together luckily the splits are facing inward where they don't show much.

No splitting hairs - or splitting chairs. High quality construction and your satisfaction is guaranteed. A replacement high chair will be shipped to our customer by Melissa & Doug.

Cute and Sturdy Doll Chair
Posted 8/7/2009

Rating:

PROS: Very cute, easy to put together. Most moms said this was sturdy enough for kids. The first thing my 4 year old wanted to do was have her 6 month old baby sister sit in it, which was fine. I mainly wanted a chair to see through a few kids, and this definitely seems like it will last. CONS: Other people mentioned that the tray slides instead of lifts. I thought that would be okay. The main problem is that the tray comes out too easily, it doesn't really lock in place, it just has a little jigsaw edge.

Wooden High Chair
Posted 9/6/2006 by Jon Jackson

Rating:

The chair was easy to assemble and all parts, including the allen wrench, were included. Unlike with some other products I've assembled, the metal anchors that the screws screwed into were very firmly in place, so even with considerable tightening they didn't work loose at all. The chair was a birthday present for my niece who, after the tray was removed, jumped up in the seat herself. Even though the chair is designed for dolls, it was more than sturdy enough to hold her. It remains to be seen how well it will last after she's had it for a few months, but I suspect she won't be able to put a dent in it.

The quality of this highchair is exceptional. We assembled it and are anxiously awaiting the granddaughter's visit this week-end. I'm sure she will be delighted, although Minnie will be the one in the seat. Hopefully, when she gets it home, one of her dolls will be the guest of honor. I guess a Mouse has to eat, too.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter's birthday. She absolutely loves it. She puts her babies in and out, "feeds" them and has them join at her table for tea parties. This is a well constructed piece that was easy to assemble. She really is enjoying the high chair and I am thrilled with my choice.

This high chair is amazingly easy to put together. It's very sturdy and my granddaughters love it. Only problem is they both want to use it at the same time. I guess I should have bought two.

The high chair is well made out of wood and easy to assemble. I had looked a several different options prior to ordering this one, Melissa & Dough high chair offers by far the best quality. It would be nice to have something in the middle of the high chair (spindle/bar) so the dolls won’t slide out from under the tray or if a cushion would be offered with it.

sturdy and very easy to assemble. I had it out of the box and done in less than 20 minutes. My 4 year-old daughter loves it and it's hefty enough for her to sit in. I originally wanted one with a lift-up tray, but realized that most of these won't actually lift up over a standard doll.

Where The Heck Are The Screws?

The chair arrived without any screws or other hardware to assemble.

Understandably, this chair situation shouldn't be left sitting -or unsitting, depending on how you look at it. We contacted the manufacturer, Melissa & Doug. Appropriate hardware is being shipped promptly for our customer.)

I adore Melissa & Doug products and this one did not disappoint. The chair is very sturdy and it looks so nice, I don't mind having it in the family room. My daughter absolutely loves it!
For some reason, it did not come with directions for assembly (not that I ever read them!) , but it really was easy to assemble.

The high chair is very well made and extremely sturdy. Assembly was easy, except that one piece did not line up correctly and actually separated from the base of the chair. I don't think it is going to interfere with function, and it cannot be seen, but it is a gift which has not yet been used, so if a problem later, I will have to return it.

We Love This Doll High Chair

If you are looking for a high chair for your child's dolls this is the one to buy. It's beautiful and sturdy. It came partially assembled, so putting it together is a snap. I did a thorough search for a chair that would accommodate my 8 year old daughter's large dolls,(and was not made of MDF or plastic). I'm so glad to have ordered this one. The only way it could have been better is if it were pink.

I bought this for my 21 month old daughter for her doll to sit in while she is cooking in her pretend kitchen set. She loves the chair so much that she actually sat in the highchair herself a couple of times. I don't recommend for kids to do that, it is only made for the dolls. The color goes with everything. It was easy to assemble. It looks absolutely darling.
