Setting: Home

My daughter who just turned 5 recieved the horse friends as one of her birthday gifts. She could'nt wait to open the box and when she did she didn't put them down and her sister joined in and their imaginations took over, it was great. What a great product. thanks

Melissa and Doug Horse Friends
Posted 7/1/2008

Rating:

The three horses are well formed, sturdy, and a good size for play. They were selected for a Sunday School program, and will appeal to the children who love animals. They are expected to be servicible for many years.

The horses are very realistic with great detail on the saddles. My daughter loved the young foal who looks like he is just learning to walk.

Nice Horses For The Folding Stable!
Posted 1/4/2008 by ELIZABETH A HARDING

Rating:

These are the best looking of the soft horses that I have seen, especially the large white one. The saddles go on and off easily, my five year old can use them without much trouble. The baby is very cute with its legs spread out trying to stand for the first time, but its shape does makes the play and fit more difficult.

Kids Like Them Despite Poor Quality
Posted 12/31/2007 by Richard Rojo

Rating:

These horses are made cheaply, posed in strange stances, and arrived with scuff marks and a stain even though sealed in original packaging. That said, our toddlers enjoy galloping them around and playing with the flimsy removable harnesses.

My 4 year old got these and the Melissa and Doug stable. She loves them. She loves that there is a "daddy, mommy and baby." Melissa and Doug items are high-quality products which are life-life, yet very kid-friendly.

Bought for my 7 year old daughter. She loves them. They are big enough for a Barbie or like doll to ride.

The horses are realistic and although they are plastic they are coated with a soft fur like material which my daughter loves. The bridle and saddle are removable which adds to the play experience.

Wonderful Toy
Posted 4/20/2007 by Michael Coderre and Heather Baker

Rating:

My daughter first saw this set when she chose it as a gift for her good friend's 5th birthday. It was then at the top of her list of requests for her own birthday. The three horses are lifelike, extremely well made, have a fuzzy "flocked" coat, and full soft manes. They are played with constantly by both girls. Her friend's mom made a special point of telling me a few weeks ago that it is the only toy her daughter received at her birthday party that is still played with all the time! I highly recommend for 5, 6, and 7 year old girls. Their faces light up when they see these lovely play horses. The play value is so high.

Horse Friends a Hit!

I purchased Horse Friends for my granddaughter for her 4th birthday to go with a horse stable I had also purchased. She loves horses! She spent the rest of the afternoon playing with her Horse Friends set. Horse Friends is a great toy! The horses are of good quality and had great detail. I was very satisfied with this product!

Great Value

My 3 year old daughter was ecstatic when she opened her birthday present. "For me?" she asked. After I took some time to completely removed all the wrapping (the tip of the legs are very tightly wrapped with plastic, which makes it hard to undo) she hugged her ponies and played with them, trying to go for a ride mind you! The horses have a velvety feel and are a good size. My daughter loves them.

Rating:

The horses are very adorable, but the manes are some sort of furry stuff which seems to come off easily. Also, the horses are covered with a flocking that mars very easily with daily play and loving. The foal will only stand in this awkward newborn position which makes it difficult to place in a stable or trailer etc.

These horses by Melissa and Doug are as adorable as they are handsomely made. I consider the price of this set a value considering the quality of the product.
