The bowling pins and ball are colorful and cute. The only problem with them is that the children have difficulty getting the pins to sit upright. I need to help them and need to work at it a bit myself. I caught one of the older children trying to juggle the bowling pins which hadn't occurred to me. I do believe the children would play with them more if they could set up the pins themselves.

Very cute monsters. They are small (not too tiny though) and the ball is about the size of a baseball or maybe a bit bigger. My son is not yet 2 so he doesn't get the point but he likes it nonetheless. For the price these are good toys.

We purchased this product for our nearly 2 year old granddaughter and it was a huge hit. She and all her adult family enjoyed playing with the cute monsters and ball. The colors and expressions on the monsters make them lovable, not scary. I great versatile toy. Well made and packaged.

I gave this to my one-year-old niece for a birthday present and she just started smiling and laughing immediately. Personally, I love the colorful monsters. She really enjoys trying to throw the ball at the monsters - and so do her 2 year old cousins! Big hit among everyone!

I got this toy for my best friends two year old son who loves "munsters." When he was opening his gifts and got to this he got up and carried it away wanting to play with it right then. He loves the bright colors and all the silly monster faces. I would highly recommend this toy for any child who loves monsters and bright colors. Being an OT, I always love getting toys that will improve his motor skills or stimulate his learning and this definitely does!

Monster Bowling given as gift to 2 yr old (female)
Played with the most by 6 yr old neighbor (male)
Great toy. Our only suggestion would be to flatten the "pin" bottoms a little more so they stand a bit easier.
All in all, we would recommend for ages 2-7 both male and female.

My two-year-old niece loved it. She opened the package, pulled out one of the pins, and in the cutest voice said 'monsters!' She and her six-year-old cousin played with it for hours.

I bought this adorable bowling set for my 2 year old nephew! He was intrigued and thrilled. He loved checking out all the different monsters faces and pointed out each color on each monster. We played it outside on concrete and inside on the kitchen floor. Perfect size and great case to keep it all together in. The first night it was in the house and my nephew headed off to bed his dad (21 years old) and my boyfriend (35 years old) played for at least an hour. Same thing the next night! Lots of laughs! Loved it!

This was a Christmas gift for a friend's grandson, aged 2 1/2. He just loved it from first sight! First he spent some time with each "bowling pin" and with the "ball", examining them carefully and laughing. when we set up the pins in the hallway and showed him how to bowl, he just laughed and laughed, and played with it again and again. It took him a while to manage to knock the pins down, but he was so taken with the whole idea, he kept trying, and had a marvelous time. I heartily recommend this "bowling" set for this age group.

Product is cute and easy to use. The monsters are smaller than they looked in the pictures, but it is the perfect size for kids. I gave it to my 2 year nephew for Christmas and he loved it. After he was done bowling he played with the ball for hours.

The pieces were somewhat smaller than I had envisioned, but that is not to take anything away from the item. List height in description?
Otherwise, it is all that I hoped that it would be. Colors and designs are wonderful, and the kids use the set in so many different ways in addition to the "bowling" aspect of it.
They carry individual pieces around as if they were stuffed toys, which indeed they are! Two brothers, ages two and three, play with them together and come up with incredible ways to utilize all of the pieces.

Not a good toy for a child with special needs

I bought this for my daughter who has special needs. I thought that the pins would make noise of some sort to draw her attention, also the ball does not roll real nice on the floor. Would love to see the ball a little more weighted to help it roll nicer. However my 6 month old loves everything about this toy. All the bright colors really draw his attention.

kids love monsters

Although they're below the age limit, I have 3 18 mo. olds and this is one of the first toys they pull off the shelf in the mornings. The monster pins are bright and colorful and plush enough that the kids like to cuddle them. They can't use the ball to knock them down yet, but they have fun knocking them down with their hands and saying "BOOM!". I think they'll get a few years of fun out of this toy.

She bowled with it. She hugged it. She played ball. The faces were so interesting to her. Also the bright colors were attractive to her. She really loved this toy. She hugged them.

The Monster Bowling set is extremely cute and kid friendly. I'm sure my nephews will love this for Christmas this year. The only complaint is that the pins look slightly larger on the computer than what they actually are. Other than that we love the bowling set.

I bought these for their bright colors and they looked like they would entertain toddlers. I wish they had a rattle or something similar inside so they would make noise when they were knocked over but they are still fun.

I have a group of toddlers ranging from 1-4 and sometimes they can get out of order running and playing but when I say "we're going Monster Bowling, everybody sit down so we can take turns" all of my kids 2 and up fall in line. The kids really enjoy this game and it allows them to work on their rolling the ball skills and they love it when they knock down a pin or two. The pins are colorful and that's another skill I can include. We don't always use the ball I'll just sit the pins on the table and we'll explore the colors on the different pins I also like that there are only 6 pins it's not to stressful to the kids with not as many pins to knock down. One thing I would have liked more. If the pins were a vinyl material I could wipe them off. I have to spray with Lysol because they are handled a lot. But that's ok because when it's time I will throw toys away and buy more. Sanitation is very important to me especially when you care for children.

I bought this toy as a gift for my 2 year old nephew. He loves it so much he takes the monsters to bed with him. I definitely recommend this toy-no batteries, no noise, and kids can use their imagination to create new games.

I ordered this toy for my nephew's 2nd birthday. He has a brother who is 7 and a sister who is 6. I ordered this knowing they would enjoy the toy as well. The product is well made and will stand up to a group of 'enthusiastic' children. Doug and Melissa toys enocourage imaginative play that requires little adult supervision and no batteries. The three children were able to play all afternoon - they made up their own rules and had a good time with each other.

We have had a few bowling "toys" that we have played with over the years and Monster Bowling is great. Our kids play it inside which is great because the monster pins are soft and you don't have to worry about them damaging anything. The Monster characters make the game more fun for our kids. I recommend this to all.

It works as advertised. The pins fall when hit by the ball. Our 2 year old grandson loves it. His older brothers set it up for him and the 5 year old plays too. He also likes to tote one or more of the cuddly pins around.

My grandson is 14 months so he's a little young for a structured game of bowling ... but he does grasp the concept of trying to knock over the monster pins with the ball and enjoys watching that happen. He very much likes things involving balls and I'm sure as he gets older this will be something we'll play often. Another review indicated that the monster pins were difficult to stand up ... but I've found them very easy to set up and not tippy at all. I was pleasantly surprised at how well made and durable the monster pins are. He likes to carry one or two around with him on his 'adventures', unrelated to bowling.

I have a 2 1/2 yr old boy and he plays with these as a bowling game but also has them as little buddies that can sit with while watching cartoons . The quality is really good and once he can get the concept of bowling he will be able to enjoy that aspect of it. Great toy with at a good price.

My 21 month old is just learning to throw, so maybe when he gets that down, he'll be able to bowl down the monsters.

Most little ones prefer to throw the ball and carry around the monster bowling pins. The monsters like it. No need to rush bowling the monsters.)

Monster bowling is loads of fun for my 3 year old grandson! He can set these up by himself and the 'pins' are very cute and cuddly too.
The bottoms are flat so each monster stands up straight even on carpet.

The pins are a bit small, and the ball is light, so you have to throw it pretty hard to get the pins to knock over. Can be a bit problematic when encouraging a toddler to throw a ball hard inside...

I have a 15 month old boy and a 27 month old boy and they have lots of fun with this toy. I would have liked the monsters to be bigger though. They are only about 7 inches tall.

I consider toy most appropriate for my grandson who will turn two in two months. It is not breakable. Jaime is into cookie monster. Toy will develop his ability to focus at a target and hit the target.

I bought this toy for my 6 month old daughter but she's still a little young for it. But her 18 month old cousin got a kick out of it so I'm sure she's going to love it as she gets older. The toys are well made, nice and soft so that the kids don't get hurt and the colors are amazing.

I was very pleased to find an out of the ordinary bowling set for my 2 year old toddler twins. This product has definitely lived up to my expectations as my children including my 4 year old enjoys to play with this. For the younger crowd, the ball that comes with the set is okay although a bit hard to direct. We also bought a Babal ball to use with the set and it works great as a bowling ball when the smaller ball is removed.

I thought the set was going to be a bit bigger than it ended up being. My kids like the monsters, but haven't really captured the bowling concept yet - we are working on it. The plastic case this comes in is very handy. The monsters can be a little difficult to get to stay up.

This product is a lot of fun. Our toddler loves it. The bowling pin characters are totally charming and the bright colors liven up even the grayest rainy day. So far we've had no problems with quality of the set, as it's held up through quite a bit of torture. The only complaint we have (the reason it got four stars and not five) is that the "pins" don't stand up all that well on less than hard surfaces, i.e. carpeting. But, don't let that deter you, because bowling with this bowling set is less than half the fun, there's also monster pin tossing, monster pin snuggling, monster ball catch...

I just tried the toy out for the survey. My grandson will not be here to play with it for another week. I love the colors, textures and features of the pins. The ball doesn't really roll well and it's difficult to aim it. I am curious to see how my grandson plays with it.

She loves throwing balls and knocking things over so this will certainly make her very happy! She already has very good coordination skills, but this will help even more.

Monster Bowling as Toddler Gift

We gave this to our 20-month-old daughter for Christmas. She has really enjoyed playing with the monsters and with the ball, even though she didn't actually use them to "bowl" at first. She would sometimes just want to kick the monsters over or to play catch with the ball. Now (at 22 months) she is starting to do a little more bowling with them. But they are a great toy and come in a handy carrying case so they are very portable. It's also nice to have something for her that's a little out of the ordinary. I would recommend this toy for a toddler.

My daughter loved it even before we got it delivered. From the time of ordering until it got here she asked about it and why it was not here yet. Our first online purchase together she was not used to not having instant gratification. Not only did we play with it as a bowling set but she enjoyed them as "dolls" as well.

My 2 yr. old grand nephew adapted to the bowling idea quickly. He held the monsters frequently while visiting, and sometimes held the ball. He tired of the bowling idea rather quickly, but liked the idea of the packing case when leaving. A very nice, well made toy. Each little "monster" was very well made, colorful, and inviting for a two year old.

Very well made and colorful. Our grandson really liked that they came in a zip pouch and he enjoyed pulling them out and putting them in, as well as carrying them around in the pouch by the handle, almost as much as actually playing with them. Of course, he's only 23 months old!!

I teach children and they love bowling. This is for my granddaughter! We gave the monster bowling set to our 1-3/4 year-old grandson. He loves it! We showed him how to set up the pins and roll the ball towards them to knock them over, and he really enjoys it. He is able to play with the toy by himself and with others. He also likes each of the bowling pins with their soft decorations, and carries them around like stuffed toys. All in all, I would say it is a great toy for children of this age!

Our nearly three years and nine month old grandsons were coming for a visit from out-of-town, and we decided to order this for them. It was a huge hit at first sight by the three-year old. Hard to say yet! This was a Christmas gift for my nieces, ages 3 and 1. They just opened it yesterday afternoon so haven't had much chance to play yet. They did open it and carry around one of the "monster pins". Very cute toy. Only problem I can see is that the toys are soft and appealing for small animals. Our Cavalier tried to carry one away a few times :o)

Our one year old daughter barely plays with this toy, but having it at our home and seeing her try to interact with it makes me realize that I purchased a little prematurely for her. She just turned one, and I think that once she is able to walk and control the ball a little better, she'll like this toy a little more.
For now, however, she loves that the fabric is colorful and squishy.

At 2, I wasn't sure if our nephew would understand the concept of bowling but we set it up, he threw the ball, and loved it! He even loved one of the monster pins and would carry it around with him.

Gave this to her for her 2nd birthday. She loves it. The colors are exciting and this gives her great opportunities to learn how to throw a ball. Throwing balls is not an easy task for little ones and if they don't learn early, they will be terrible at it forever. I know, I was one of the terrible ones and I am determined to make sure she is good with throwing and catching. I was a little surprised by the size of the monsters. They are smaller than I imagines, but again, we are dealing with toddlers, so I should be more realistic. I recommend this highly.

This was a present for an 22 month old girl. She carries the monsters all over the house and sets them up in different spots many times every day. She has done this for months now. It was her favorite present this year she has not gotten tired of the process. The toy matched her skills and love of balls perfectly. I bought this toy as a gift for my four year old autistic son due to his fascination for bowling. The set is made well enough to last a while and easily stores in its bag when not in use. The pins sit up without a problem and the ball is adequate for a child to throw at the cluster, but not really to roll. It is easily substituted, however, with another ball, if that is a concern. The monster pins are engaging and make the toy set much more interesting. Each pin can be assigned a personality and given a story or background while playing with your child which helps build on role playing activities as well as hand eye coordination. My son is really enjoying this toy so far.

This product appears to be a "child friendly" toy. No parts that would harm the child. The items are soft and colorful! Very eye-catching! The right size for small hands as they play quietly at home. Yes, this is a toy with little or no noise except the cheers and laughs as the children play. I believe my grandson would agree, Monster Bowling is a "HIT!"

I gave this to my 19 month old for Chrismas this year because he's all about balls lately. I thought he'd love a bowling set of his own. Both of my children have gotten a lot of use out of this toy the past few days. I like that the pins are plush but they still stand up well on their own. My 14th month old son really likes this toy. We have bowled of course - teaching rolling and aim. We also use the pins for a puppet show - this is nice because our 4 year old can also play (and not have to wait his turn). It is also so colorful - so a great tool for teaching colors too! FYI - Dogs love to grab them - so watch out for that!

Even though this is intended as a Christmas present for a 4 year old niece, I had to bust it out early. It's a little smaller than I envisioned, but should be perfect for tots. The monsters are very well made and unique. Not sure if I or the cats were having more fun with it before wifey came and instructed us play time was over.
All in all, this looks to be a good inside toy for little ones, that I bet will get more playtime than many $100 gifts.

This is a very cute toy and seems extremely well made. It is a bit difficult for my son who just turned two to set up the pins, but he loves all the monsters and especially the ball. I think this is a great toy because it is fun for kids of ALL ages, my husband and I love to play each other. : )

This toy is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but I do not consider that a negative since it is much easier to store than I anticipated. My son really liked playing with the pins themselves and trying to knock them down with the ball. My 1-year old daughter liked the pins as well and spent quite a while rolling them around. I think this toy will be a great family activity on holidays, lazy afternoons, etc. It's really a very cute and creative toy!

I recently purchased this set as a gift for a friend's two-year old. He was more fascinated by the colors and design of the dolls than he was of the actual game, but the adults that were showing him how to play definitely had a good time.

The colors were pretty, but the overall appeal for "bowling" was a bit understated. The ball was small (which is fine if it works correctly), and therefore the "pins" didn't fall over easily when then the ball hit them. The bottoms needed to be manipulated so that they stood up solidly.

This bowling set is terrific! I bought it for two girls, ages 4 and 5. Not only is it good for the kids, but the adults love it too. One of my coworkers and I played with it when it arrived. The "pins" are colorful, and it actually works as a bowling set. Also, since they are soft, there is no danger of damage to household items. I would recommend this to anyone.

My children love this toy because of its cuteness. We have a very long hallway and they like to "bowl" down the hall with these little guys. The only problem with the toy is that the pins and ball are like stuffed animals.

It was difficult finding a toy for my grandson that was not already in his house. When I saw Monster Bowling, I knew it would be perfect. My grandson is 1 1/2 years old. The monster pins are just the right size for him to hold and line up. And the "bowling ball" has the same good fit quality. Best of all, the bowling kit comes in its own zippered case so no lost monsters!

Our 2 year old son loves playing this game. He gets such a kick out of setting up the monsters and rolling the ball. It is a great game to help with his hand eye coordination. He has enjoyed the game so much that we purchased it for a niece and a friend's 2 year old. I recommend this game to anyone.

My children think Monster Bowling is a fun toy. They like the monsters and actually play monsters more than bowl. The bowling pins don't stand up straight very well and they have a tendency to tip over when they are not supposed to. I think they probably need a heavier weight in the bottom.

My daughter loved the "monster pins" - they are adorable! However, it was difficult for her to get them to stand up and stay up so she could bowl. She is only 2 years old, but I had a few issues getting them to stand myself! Overall, it is a cute product, but I am not sure if I would re-purchase if I knew how frustrated my daughter would get setting up the pins.

My daughter immediately named all the pins as animals - kitty, mouse, doggie, etc...They are cute and snuggly. She carried them around as dolls. They are hard to keep standing because they are not weighted enough on the bottom. We don't use them for their intended purpose. If you want to bowl, maybe try a different product.

My son loves it! He gets a real kick out of knocking down the monsters. My son is a thrower and when he made the connection between throwing the ball and throwing the ball to hit the monsters, he was elated! The feel of each monster is wonderfully soft but firm. The colors are mezmorizing. We just love this toy.

Both my grandson and great nephew love this toy. My grandson at age nine months laughed out loud when the game was set up for him. He rolled the ball into the monsters for many happy minutes. At age two, he still enjoys playing with this bright, happy game. So I sent it to my great nephew who loves it as much as my grandson. This is another great toy from this company.

I bought this for a 3 yr old and he has a ball with it as does his older siblings. They have used the pins as other then intended IE they were monsters in a monster cave one day. My son (4) asked if he could buy one "one day".

i got these for my nephew's second birthday and all ages loved throwing them around. they were really popular and would buy them again. the only flaw was some difficulty in getting some of the pins/monsters to stand up for the actual bowling.

Fun and different bowling game for little ones. My 21month old has fun playing this bowling game. I like this product a lot. I would caution that if you have a shag carpet, it can be difficult to knock the pins (monsters) over. Other than that, it's a great, fun game!

The toy is beautifully made, and my granddaughter loves it for the feel and design of the monster characters alone, however, the dolls don't always stand up well and the ball should have more substance to function well as a bowling ball. To use it, she had to throw the ball directly at the monsters from above, rather than rolling it. Still, we are happy with our purchase at a fair price.

What I like best is that the Monster pins are brightly colored. They are also very soft and safe. The size is good too, small enough to store away when my niece is not playing but still big enough for small hands to pick up and manipulate easily. The only thing that makes them a little hard to use is the pins have to be grouped closely together so that they can lean on each other. The bottoms aren't as flat as I thought they would be. It takes a little bit of maneuvering to get them all to stand up, but overall it is a great toy. We have had a blast!

Fun kids' game, with characters exactly as cute and colorful as shown. Nicely packaged.
Small "bits" on monsters make this not great for toddlers/teethers, but my 33 year old (yes 33, and everyone at his birthday party, thought it was hilarious and wanted one.
