I purchases the mailbox for my 2 year old grandaughter. Every evening she (with my help) would write a letter to Santa and place it in the mailbox. She would then raise the flag. The next morning the flag would be down and a small prize would be waiting inside. This let her know that Santa opened the mailbox and got her letter, and also helped her parents and I know what she wanted for Christmas. It was great fun and she loved it. (I did too!)
