I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old grandson because we already bought the alphabet and numbers puzzle and he just loved those. I liked the product because it says the shapes as well as has the name on each shape. Each is a different color which we also use to reinforce recognizing colors. I have been pleased with all three of the Melissa and Doug Puzzles I have purchased. They are well made so far they have held up well.

Wonderful For Teaching Shapes and Sounds!

My 3 year daughter can point out trapezoids, and it just floors everyone (Our little secret as to how she learned that!). These sound puzzles are fun for the kids as well as educational.

The sound feature of several of the shapes, the ones on the left side, don't work. (Note from Fat Brain Toys: Sounds to us like you need a new puzzle. A new puzzle has been shipped to you, Usha.)

I gave this to my Grandson for his second birthday. The pieces are easy for him to color. He was surprised at the sound due to other puzzles not having sound. He enjoyed it and kept going back to it. It's a fun, educational puzzle that he is thoroughly enjoying.

The only downfall to the 'Sounds' toys is that they lack an on/off button. I specifically purchased this one because I thought the sounds would give him an extra incentive to play. However, I had to remove the batteries, because the toy would periodically go off even when my son wasn't playing with it.

A talking puzzle?!?!?!?!

This puzzle has been a great addition to our collection. When my son places the piece in the correct location, the puzzle tells him the name of the shape. The pictures underneath each shape represent everyday items that shape. There is some sensitivity with the sound however. One day, 'triangle' and 'square' were not working, but the next day they were. Similar tweeks have happened. Overall though, I am completely satisfied with this purchase and the puzzle.

I bought this puzzle for my 2 year old grandson. He loves it and is very good at matching the pieces and their places. I am extremely pleased with all the purchases I have made from Fat Brain Toys.
